Uptown Cheapskate Arlington

One of my favorite stores. Love the clothes. Smaller selection of good stuff is worth way more than a huge selection of bs. All the employees are usually super cute, but not sure how old they are , so I’m afraid they are too young. Thx to the female employee that helped me try on my clothes in the changing room that one day ;)

Today (07/29/25) was my first time visiting any Uptown Cheapskate, and unfortunately, I will not be returning to this location. From the moment I walked in, I felt unwelcome—something I’ve never experienced in a store before. I wasn’t greeted by any employees, even though several were behind the counter talking and folding clothes. I tried not to take it personally, but I noticed four other customers entered after me and were all greeted and asked if it was their first time visiting. I didn’t want to jump to conclusions, but it was hard not to feel singled out. While browsing, I overheard an employee take a phone call, and after hanging up, they spoke rudely about the customer they had just spoken to—loud enough for everyone nearby to hear. I’ve worked in customer service myself, and it’s standard practice to keep those kinds of conversations private. This behavior was unprofessional and made me uncomfortable. To top it off, when I got in line to check out, the cashier ignored me for about a minute, continuing to fold clothes and write something down. I stood there clearly waiting, looking around and at her. She finally asked, “Are you ready to get checked out?”—as if I had just walked up. Yes, I had been ready and waiting. I also found that some of the item prices felt high for secondhand goods, and it’s unclear who the target audience is supposed to be. Lastly, I believe a more diverse team of employees might help customers from all backgrounds feel more comfortable and welcome in the store. Overall, this was a disappointing first impression.

Left my clothes there and never texted me back to pick up my clothes so now some of the clothes I would have wanted to keep are forever gone.

Was greeted nicely and I appreciate their time was given fair price for what I brought in would recommend them to anyone

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Clothing was priced fairly and good condition.

Young lady with very short hair whom was working the dressing room asked my niece " are those men pants?" I said yes they are . She responded with " um ok, do you have the hooks?" I said " no." She just looked at us for a second or two in silence, took a breath and said " um ok. " Another lady working back then chimed in and asked us how many we had. I was not aware we needed to bring up the hooks for the employees. Also I sit here at the dressing area, I dont see this young lady asking anyone else for their hooks.

This store is nice. But for the amount of clothes I brought in here to sell when I see the workers looking at my clothes and me weird. Then I felt uncomfortable because I'd never been here before. And I didn't see anything cheap in here. How are these people selling shoes, clothes and purses almost the same price a regular store sells is funny. I looked at some Nikes in here, they were nice but when I picked them up they were dirty and for $80 in a store where u probably barely cleaned the shoes 👞 is a joke. Also I brought in a lot of clothes and to only receive $30 is a joke and then the rep who helped me told me they donated clothes which I didn't think of but hey. The store is what it is A CHEAPSKATE. I will not be back nor will I recommend. Just a very weird experience 😕. Clealiness: 10 Cleanliness of products/store: 3 Customer Service: 3 Overall Star Rating: 5

Love it got me some low rise Hollister jeans for cheap and they fit good and shoes
