Went yesterday at 5:30 the girl who does check in discouraged me to leave . She said a hour wait if stayed waiting at store and if I left 3 hours . I asked if came back at 7:30 pm if that would that be okay. Since they had so many people in front of me her response no . I was just trying to clean my closet . I also, felt like she judged me like had nothing trendy to sell . She could just said we not buy anymore today period . Instead of having me check in all the way ,check my id ,and giving me some dumb waiting time excuse of her being only staff member working.
I love purchasing from this merchant; however, they literally offer you pennies on the dollar for quality clothing that you bring to sell. I took my items to a different location and received three times the amount. I’m not really sure of the politics behind how they determine value, but it should definitely be inspected!
I really love this store it’s so amazing for people with a unique and fashionable style! I will also say that the prices are very cheap, giving it the stores name🥰 But also very helpful for people who like to shop on a budget!!! Overall this store is just amazing😊☺️
Nice feeling running shoes! I’ve been looking for these kicks at a very decent price for a good while now. Service and prices have always been pleasant during shopping experiences. UpTown Cheapskate thanks a lot! I shall return as always!
I came in with a bag of nice, hardly worn, vary much in style Nike shoes & a bag of very much in-style clothes. No stains, no rips, no discoloration. All in GREAT condition. I was told they couldn’t buy not a single pair of the shoes or the clothes because they weren’t “in the styles they wanted”. As I looked around at the shoes and clothes in store, I was totally confused because those shoes especially could have easily been in a Goodwill store. Most of the shoes were outdated, dirty looking, and very much worn. So confused! 😕
Horrible customer service. The owner and workers stated that they buy size 14 and they had gave a price on my shoes and I didn’t accept the offer the last time and they had me waiting in the store 25 minutes to tell me that because the shoes they bought from me last time are not selling, they now don’t want to honor the prior offer.
Shopping here is one thing, you can definitely find some cute stuff. BUT I wouldn’t sell my clothes here. I brought a large quantity of clothes, great condition and barely worn due to dedicated weight loss. Out of all the items the clerk picks out a basic skirt offering me $2?! Then proceeds to tell me they don’t really accept clothes from SHEIN, however that’s exactly where the skirt was from? Not to mention over half the clothes were department store items. Not sure how resale value is determined but honestly just donate. Save yourself the disappointment.
I don’t think they offer fair cash value for items you are trying to sell to them. They accepted a pair of basically new doc martens from me that have a retail price of 150 and could only give me 11 dollars for them. I wouldn’t recommend giving shoes/clothes for cash unless you really don’t care about the amount you’re getting back
Audrey is the reason Uptown Cheapskate has become one of our favorite stores. She’s incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and personable, and her smile and positive energy are contagious. She always makes us feel welcome and provides such a great experience every time we visit!
It's a great store. The girls that work there are very nice and helpful. There are soo many clothes. Its always arranged very nicely, by sizes and colors. You can easily go to whichever area of clothing you want to find, from dresses, shirts, pants, shorts, skirts......they have everything. Really good prices to.
