I took a bag of name brand clothes that were just taking up space in my closet. Most were way out of date but in good condition. To my surprise, they didn’t buy any of the items i was hoping to sell. However, it gave me a chance to browse the store. I can honestly say, this place stands above all the rest in the resale industry. The clothes were mostly flawless and in excellent condition. At Uptown Cheapskates, it’s never a hassle, the staff are friendly and helpful even when they are busy. This place makes it so much easier to find what I’m looking for and I don’t have to spend hours looking. It’s classy, trendy, affordable, stocked with a variety of unique designs and colors in every size. They also have some cool shades as well as a huge basket of costume jewelry near the check out which is just the right added touch to complete my ensemble. The place is well organized and clothing items are strategically organized so it’s easy for the shopper (me) to zoom into the section that best suits my desire. They have the most current trending fashion and coolest selection I’ve ever experienced at a resale shop. This is my new favorite!!
Such nice people and great service! We took a couple of trash bags of clothes and shoes in for the first time and got $85 cash. The other option was store credit of something like $105. We'll definitely be back!
I honestly have mixed feelings about this store. I have been to this location a few times now, and It’s been a different experience every time. I think the experience heavily depends on the staff working the day I come in. The store is pretty well organized, but the atmosphere isn’t always welcoming. I’ve stood at the register before waiting for someone to check me out while girls stand behind the counter talking and refusing to acknowledge me. In the past I tried bringing in clothes and I had a mixed batch with different season clothing, and it was a waste of time because they only took like two things. They don't offer much for the clothes they take, yet the only brands they want are high-end (name brand) clothing....I know inflation has been hard for everyone, but for a store that sells used clothing your prices in-store are starting to get up there.
My favorite location for the freshes outfits at a great price. I came during a sale and scored some cute name brand dresses for $2-$5. The staff is helpful and do a great job of maintaining the store. Everything is organized by color & size. I usually feel overwhelmed in resale shops but it was easy to navigate. Thanks ladies!
I always find a great deal at this location specifically. It gets even better with the sales and promotions they frequently have. I have also found more upscale brands at good prices. Definitely a place to check out!
So I love this store. I always find cute stuff but my only complaints are 1. The staff is pretty snooty everytime I go in. They pick and choose who they say hello to when you walk in and they tend to ignore you when you need help. 2. last time I went in all of their sizes were completely mixed together for certain things which made it SUPER difficult to find anything. I will continue to go here still because I’m all about reducing carbon footprint and I love the prices and items but please please work on your customer service skills!! It will really make a huge difference and go a long way!
Great place to find really good deals on branding clothing. The staff there is all very helpful. They have plenty of fitting rooms stores clean, and they also have a restroom available for his customers.
I drove by Uptown Cheapskate while shopping at a nearby store. I knew nothing about the store except that it appeared to sell clothing. When I went inside I was amazed at the large selection of clothing. Everything was organized by size, color, and apparel type. There was so much to choose from, including shoes and other accessories. I didn’t have a lot of time to shop, but I did find 2 very nice sweaters that I purchased. The prices were great! The checkout process was simple and the staff were friendly and courteous. I will definitely be going back soon to browse and purchase more items.
Came to sell my clothes, in the middle of the day on a Friday. I waited over an hour! I’m so angry about it. I had a sequined couture dress valued at $180, brand new, with the tag still attached, and they offered me nothing for it. Had another similar dress, no tag, still nothing. Another two bridesmaids dresses. Still nothing. Instead, I got $20 for 4 pairs of jeans. The main girl, long black hair, treated me like I was trash too. I hated it. I would never recommend this place. I will not be back.
