I have personally never been to the ftw location. I have been to the Arlington Highlands location, twice. I was about to head out to browse this store today but i decided to read the reviews first. Well, they dont make me very enthused about going anymore. I like the concept, but this is a business, not a high school venue! No one wants to be treated as if they are less than, and if they hadnt been made to feel that way, they wouldnt have shared it with the public. No, for that many people to have written such a similar experience, it is not them, its the store, and that is unacceptable, bad business! You are in te field of service to the customer, and you are running them off because they arent in your “clique?” Is that a store or a prom? A suggestion to the owner; upper management should be encouraging positive customer experience for each and every person who walks through that door. Its money people! Who are you to judge? Maybe you should have a contest to turn this around, or some sort of encouraging reward for positive reviews! ? If you dont change it, people wont bring you any clothes to sell. If you dont have merchandise, you wont have cashfow, if you dont have cashflow, you wont have a business, and if you dont have a business, you wont have a job! The people you are being rude to are signing your paycheck! Last I checked, your success in life = you status quo! If you dont have that, then popularity is the least of your worries anyway! So, “kill them with kindness,” and you will feel a whole lot better about yourself, and have that much deserved status quo! We are only human, and uniquely so, flaws come and go, so be careful how you judge, you could end up with the exact imperfection you are judging another for having! Excuse the rant! Thank you!
I went in to sell as my first time in the store. I didn’t sell much, but I was happy with the service. I then looked around and found so many beautiful clothes and accessories, shoes too. I bought a few things and definitely will return Great stuff and beautiful store a hidden gem.
Great clothes at good prices! I sold 2 shirts and got more for them than I thought I would, which is awesome. I'm definitely going back to buy some clothes and sell some of my other clothes that no longer fit me.
I strongly suggest that you make sure that your cashiers learn how to do simple math before putting them behind the register. Just bought some items and my total was $43.27. I gave her a $50. She put into the computer but before she gave me my change I quickly asked if it was too late to give her the 27 cents. She looked at the computer confused and told me “yes” She had looked at the computer as if she couldn’t figure out what $50.27 - $43.27 would be on her own since she had already put the $50 in the computer. Cmon…. Associates name on receipt was Haley.
A wide variety of style. I NEVER leave empty handed! If you have time, I definitely recommend stopping by and seeing what you can find.
Really don’t waste your time bringing clothes in. My husband an I brought in five trash bags worth of clothes, a lot of it designer/barely worn/brand new. I had finally convinced him to go through his closet as he’s a clothes collector and not wearer, thinking this would be a good way for him to recycle clothing and get new items for cheap. They said it would take an hour, it took them 30 minutes to go through all of it and then offer $70 for 13 items including a brand new pair of Nikes. The reason for turning away the other 60lbs of clothes was because of “stains and wear age.” I washed all of the clothing without tags before going, and as stated everything was basically brand new or had tags on it. They didn’t actually take time to go through what I bought. Went to Plato’s closet right after and they took half of the clothes. Oh also! Tried to sell me a shirt for $7 that had an original tag on it for $5 from target. Claimed the computer sets the prices higher than target does.
Today I came up with my daughter to attempt to sell 2 bags of clothes, and a box of shoes. My daughter came up here the first time to see the requirements to sell clothes, so we brought them all with hangers. Jenna who helped my daughter the 1st time then said we needed to remove all the hangers. Jenna took 10 minutes to look through the 2 bags. She then offered my daughter $8 for 3 pieces of clothing. They offered her a portion of what they will be selling those clothes for. Jenna treated us like below equals and had a corporate tone with us. We will not be returning here, and I hope others have a better experience with Ms.Jenna than we did!!
all the reviews i’m seeing are so negative and i’m not surprised because this store does have a HUGE customer service issue. It’s very much like you put a bunch of mean high school girls together to run this place it’s disgusting and obnoxious. No other uptown is like this.
I go to this store because every time I am there , I found just what I need. The prices are great and the staff is always professional, kind , courteous , and helpful. I pick this store over most consignment stores hands down. Keep up the wonderful service. Your loyal customer, Lori
Love this place! I don't believe I've ever left empty handed and when my teen daughter goes with me,w tend to get into trouble maxing out our budget. They have something for pretty much everyone teen age and up. Men and women clothing, shoes, accessories, though for children a couple of stores down the row is kid2kid which is another favorite. The employees are always friendly and helpful, they always prep a fitting room for me since i tend to over grab and try on everything, (never an issue, even when I have 50 items worth of go backs) I don't believe I've ever had anyone be rude to me. They even have military discounts, not sure what more I could ask for.
