uShip marked my shipment as delivered after the freight carrier I used passed the shipment to another carrier. It's over a week since that happened and my shipment has still not been delivered. I had to track it down myself to find out what the hell is going on and am still not certain. This has been a very frustrating and disappointing experience.
This platform, UShip, presents itself as a neutral third-party marketplace connecting shippers and carriers, but in practice, its conduct raises serious concerns regarding fairness, transparency, and potential business interference. Carriers are not adequately informed about the internal practices that can directly impact their operations, including account suspensions without meaningful explanation, delayed or withheld payments, and inconsistent enforcement of policies. The standard justification—that accounts may be terminated “for any reason without explanation”—only reinforces the lack of accountability and transparency within the platform. Additionally, there are ongoing concerns about coercive tactics directed at both carriers and customers. This includes pressuring customers into purchasing optional protection plans that often result in denied claims, as well as interfering in active contracts between carriers and clients. Reports of the platform encouraging customers to cancel bookings, question legitimate carriers, or escalate situations unnecessarily—such as suggesting police involvement over routine logistical delays—create unnecessary panic and damage professional reputations. There are also serious allegations regarding the handling of sensitive personal and business information. Any misuse, overexposure, or improper sharing of such data—whether real or perceived—undermines trust and raises potential legal and ethical issues. Overall, the pattern of behavior described reflects a platform that does not operate as a neutral intermediary, but rather as an entity that exerts control in ways that can disrupt business relationships, interfere with contractual agreements, and negatively impact carriers’ livelihoods. Our company experience with uShip was quite positive. The quotes were received promptly and the booking process was simple and easy. Moonlight Trucking was very professional and did an excellent job communicating throughout the shipment process.
Used Uship to move 2 vehicles from Dallas to Tampa service was great and the driver handling our vehicles was excellent as well.
I've used uship to purchase various vehicles and a boat from Naples, FL to Phoenix to San Diego and love the flexibility it gives me to find exactly what I want at the price I want. Their estimated costs on the bids to haul you are going to receive are normally very close to actual. In the case of this last Corvette purchase, it actually cost a few hundred dollars less than I'd planned. Keep in mind, you ship only puts you in touch with drivers and doesn't really provide anything other than a platform to get bids, to accept, and to pay the carrier.
I used uShip to have a motorcycle shipped from South Carolina to Pennsylvania. Within 24 hours I had a quote from a shipper that was right for me. I needed tech support a couple of times and they were on top of it! Great experience overall.

The entire experience with uShip and Victor who transported the bike was flawless and entirely convenient. No broker trying to get in the middle of the ordeal. I put the request on uShip on a Sunday night and had the bike dropped off to me on Tuesday. I couldn’t have planned this better if I’d tried and wouldn’t have been able to do it myself that fast.
