I had a great experience here. Maurice was very patient with me, also helping me fill out my form and understanding the measurements. I brought in some motorbike pants, he was so careful and did such a fantastic job tailoring them. I will definitely be back.

waited 10 -14 days for my alteration then I emailed asking when they will be done, I was told they are working on them. 2 weeks later I take out a dispute with my credit card company because nothing was done a month and still no jeans. they try to contact me over the phone I don't answer they try a few more times I don't answer I emailed them, and I expect emails back. I was told by them in a email that talking on the phone is so much easier for them. lol. do not do business with this mess of a company. I'm sure the amazing reply from the owner hypes up the business. I'm not the only one who has left bad reviews on the supposedly made in America jeans boutique that gets them all from China. it took more than twice as long as their web site states and still was not completed.

Wanted to get some heavyweight duck canvas work wear jeans tapered since I assumed the standard tailor would not have the equipment to do so. They did an awesome job! They were very responsive beforehand and helped me navigate the order form so that I was sure to get what I wanted in the alterations. Highly recommended.

I was extremely impressed. WGC tapered a pair of warehouse jeans for me, and corrected some severe leg twist as well. Impossible to tell they were tailored, I can’t see how it could have been done better. Thank you WGC!

I have been getting the best jeans in the history of history from Maurice and his company of denim heroes for ~5 years now. I have NEVER been disappointed in the product. the fit is well described and I have called and gotten input from the staff that is always on point as well. Impeccable is a word I do not throw around casually but, dear readers, these jeans are that. customer service is likewise stellar and I am always tickled when I call and the president of the company answers the phone. My thanks to Maurice and all at Williamsburg Jeans!

Whether it be simple hemming or for more elaborate tailoring I have used Maurice's fine company numerous times for denim, chino, etc. The service has always been excellent and the shipping prompt, truly a godsent when you live in a part of the country where tailoring isn't even a concept.

This is my 3rd time sending clothes (pants/tshirts) in for alterations with wgc that I feel confident now to leave a review. Their work is Superb. When I first received my orders, I would be met with confusion thinking that they had not been worked on because the hems looked just like their original state. The attention to detail is immaculate. The turn around time can be quite hefty, my most recent order took about 2 months (Was told they had a lot of tshirts, so something to keep in mind if that’s what you will be sending). But it’s definitely worth the wait for that high quality finish. I’ll continue to send in more clothes in the future!

I first purchased a pair of custom jeans about 2 years ago. The wait was about 4 months. During this time the team at Williamsburg Garment reached out several times and updated me about my order. They even offered a discount on a future pair because of the wait. I was in an accident which ruined my first pair of jeans so I decided to order a new pair. I ordered this pair 11/6/21, I did receive an email last week that the jeans had shipped but I still haven’t seen them. The only correspondence between us this time has been initiated by me. I was told they would ship in February, I was told the would ship in June, and lastly was told they would ship in October. I guess we will see if they show up this week.

solid quality of work, poor communication. i put in a take-in waist alteration order for some denim at the end of july. maurice gave me an estimate of a month or so. the work ended up taking three and a half months—which, honestly is fine with me; i didn't pay for rush service, and that was just the amount of jobs they had queued up. my gripe is that after seven weeks or so, i started calling in to ask about the status of the work. each time when maurice picked up, he'd tell me he didn't see the jeans on the shelf anymore which means work had started. he'd then tell me he'd get back to me via email or by phone about the estimated time. this happened zero times, even though i started calling once every coulple weeks. a different person picked up eventually, and did get back to me, telling me it should be another couple weeks. i get that many customers may react very poorly to being told their order will take several months longer than expected—but i don't think this is an excuse for just trying to get them off the phone and dodge the valid question. i would have appreciated a "we're backed up with rush orders, and it might take another month or two". radio silence does not build trust. on the bright side, the alteration was done exactly to my request and the work is really quite invisible. time will tell how well it holds up. i don't mind waiting longer for quality work—i would just appreciate it if i could be told that on the phone.

Nightmarish experience with Williamsburg Garment Co. TLDR: Pretty sure an employee stole my ~$400 vintage Levi's that I sent in for repairs. As for the details: I sent in a pair of vintage Levi's to have a couple button hole repairs done by them. Website says 5-7 days turn around time. The jeans arrived to them October 1st and still don't have my jeans back. It's now been 2.5 months of them having my jeans. I've probably sent 15 total messages across all their channels (email, chat, Instagram) regarding the issue and haven't received one reply back. Fed up, I called them and the employee basically said "oh yeah we don't reply to emails there's too many". And then he explained that my jeans are set to ship "next week". Next week goes by, nothing. Another week goes by, and I FINALLY get a shipping confirmation by UPS. I check back after a couple days and the tracking number now says "shipping label voided". Called them again right now and they said "oh yeah that's not the right tracking it's actually this USPS one and it say's it was delivered yesterday". Keep in mind, I received no official tracking email just an employee saying "this is the tracking xxxx". Worst of all, I had NO package delivered. I was home all day yesterday. Watched the USPS guy go by and there was no package. I explained this to them and they said "Well uh, show's delivered on our end so there's nothing we can do". So yeah, I'm now out on my favorite pair of vintage and beautifully faded one of a kind Levi's that were probably valued at $300 not including the $100+ I spent on repairs. I'm 90% sure Williamsburg Garment Co. had something to do with this. Complete and utter bullshit. Avoid this company like the plague.
