Good selection of very edible food, especially in the hot and cold delis. Good deal on milk. They have a machine that juices oranges right in front of you and you've never had orange juice like this from the grocery store -- fantastically fresh and flavorful because it does not receive flavor depleting pasteurization. Great selection of alcoholic beverages.
A little smaller than the one on Barbur Blvd., this one is still pretty good in terms of variety (and far superior to any options I've been able to find in Seattle in eight years), but I have to say, the preference for Eti over Ülker was what led me to ding one star. Ülker's dark-chocolate wafers are hands-down the best. Nevertheless, with a pretty amazing yogurt and cheese selection and a decent variety of choices for dining in, this is still a world-class international-grocery-shopping experience.
I have been shopping between here and Barber foods since I was a child. Let me say I love this store and frequent it all the time. I forgot my credit card and went home and paid them by phone within 30 min and was just told by a security guard I was no longer invited to shop there. The people who work there are awesome but their management is not. Don’t forget your CC and pay later or you will be banned! Jeeze
Wonderful international deli and grocery store where you can also sit down and enjoy your food selections with a glass of wine or beer. There is a strong southern Mediterranean emphasis to much of the selection, but if you long for specialty foods from northern Europe or Asia, there is plenty for you as well. I buy my British mother her favorite marmalade here and artisanal cheese from small producers for myself. Fabulous tabouli and other salads, along with several rich roasted meats and vegetables. There is just so much to explore here. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff throughout the store. It's just a delightful gourmet experience every time I visit.
This is a lovely little store, but I feel like I have to knock a star off because literally their entire stock of oils, dozens of brands, is all 'extra virgin' and so useless for most actual cooking because the smoke point is too low.
My favorite spot in downtown to stock up on local meats, vegetables and delicious pre-made foods. I always grab a baklava and check out the basket of cheese trimmings to try something new. Highly recommend any of the pastries, anything in the hot food bar, and the little coffee bar inside as well. Some seating is available inside and outside to enjoy your purchases.
I LOVE this market! I work in the neighborhood and have been coming here at least once a week for the past couple of months since discovering it. Reasonable prices, EXCELLENT customer service. A couple recurring purchases have been the house made chocolate cake and prepped salmon and rice dish. Won't be returning to Whole Foods since finding this gem.
An international food market in Portland's Pearl district, offer a wide variety of middle eastern and Mediterranean food. With lots of fresh, prepared food options; it is a highly recommended stop.
Great little shop. Has some unique imported items of confectionery and drinks. Higher quality with maybe a little higher price than a normal supermarket. Well curated imported foods but they have a range of just about everything you could need. Great selection of Haribo!! Nice deli bar. Good chocolate isle! I’m also glad they carry some limited lines of down to earth stuff like Rainier beer and normal milk and bread. Not much bad to say about this place, it seems like they take care selecting the right stock, a nice mix of items that you normally cannot pic up elsewhere.
Friendly, helpful staff. Great espresso drinks and yummy pastries. Store has everything you need. They need more comfortable stools at the counter though.
