Excellent quality. Delicious Mediterranean/middle eastern pastries. An entire aisle of chocolate! It’s an upscale store with a neighborhood feel but with many affordable options. A perfect option whether you’re working downtown and need a quick lunch, looking for an exotic ingredient you can’t find anywhere else, or traveling on the boltbus.

Great lunch spot! Staff is very friendly and selection is unique for the neighborhood.

Pros: their deli case is full of marvelous delights. The wine and beer selection is incredible for a store the size of my apartment. Staff is friendly and helpful. If you're looking for a special ingredient that's hard to find, I'm willing to bet they probably have it! Cons: The produce section is "meh" at times. I'd call it hit or miss. They made my friend wait 45 minutes for 4 of their cute little ham, brie, and baguette sandwiches, which seems a little crazy, even if they are adorable and delicious. And are they seriously charging people $1to sit on their outdoor patio to eat and drink stuff they bought IN THE STORE? Sure, it's only a buck, but it's the point, especially at the boutique grocery store price you just paid for your noms.

A fantastic little grocer in the Pearl, specializing in rarer foods and ingredients from across the world. The prices are high, but the quality and curated selection are well worth it. The staff is awesome, and they have an entire aisle of just chocolate! What more can you ask for?

It’s rare I complain about service but.. I don’t know what is up with this place. Every time I come in there’s 3-4 employees behind the deli case and they ignore me, seem irritated, just very standoffish. If they’re all busy a simple “ someone will be with you in a moment” would suffice. It’s awkward to stand there unacknowledged. Happens every time! It’s a shame since the prep food is fantastic, love the kale salad, the rice pudding is phenomenal. Although I have often brought home items only to find they are expired. I never like to blame the employees and tend to think it must be some management issue. But every time I’m there, the staff is stand-offish, unhelpful, even rude. Never had any of these problems with the original store on Barbur.

This shop has an impressive selection of lots of interesting foods. Incredible chocolate bar selection. An entire isle (2) sides of chocolate bars from around the world. The bulk section has some really good organic dried mango. The hot food bar has lots of good options. The poke bowls are great. The chicken shawarma bowl is great. Good kombucha selection. It's a compact shop but densely packed with lots of goodies. It's a specialty shop so don't expect discount prices, but I think it's fair for the type of specialty foods they have. The owner is a really pleasant man whom I've had the pleasure of interacting with a few times. Go check it out, it's a great little shop packed with lots of options. I find the place really impressive.

Very clean, nice story. Lots of more progressively acceptable foods, (cage free eggs, organic items...etc) a bit spendy, but that goes with the neighborhood and you're getting better quality, in a welcoming comfortable environment .. Mediterranean deli too!! Baklava! And let's not forget to mention the coffee/wine/hops bar, and the two nice gentlemen maning it ... 👍 😀 👌

The selection is very limited and the prices are high, so I wouldn't recommend the place for a typical grocery run. They do have staples, though (bread, milk, eggs, etc). There is a huge selection of cheeses, teas, and (if I recall) meats. They also sell kitchenware like several different coffee makers (like a pour-over or chemex) and (bamboo!) spoons, glassware, stuff like that. The people working were really cool and the tea latte I got from the bar was excellent, and not too expensive.

Best grocery store anywhere near downtown Portland. I have been purchasing my groceries here ever since I moved to NW two years ago and only have had good experiences. Great people, fair prices and excellent selection.

This place has great options and I like shopping here. But the experience I had buying the bubbles for my wedding was by far the best experience I've had there. Tyler is great and he was so nice explaining the options and taking care of my order. He knows a lot about wine and if you follow his suggestions you'll be surprised.
