The service was outstanding and super attentive, host and waitstaff. I had the fried chicken sandwich, which was perfectly seasoned. Two sizeable pieces of chicken, with a choice of salad or fries. I was a little disappointed by the salad, as it was only greens and dressing - nothing else. Also the cheese board was disappointing for the price, but it tasted good. Parking was really difficult to find this particular Friday evening, likely due to a lot of people being out for the Phillies game.
Dining outside at Bar Hygge enjoying the neighborhood vibe is a special treat. The sandwiches come on nicely tosted brioche buns and are nicely sized. Also, the red wine vinaigrette for the side salad is delicious.
Quite impressed by Bar Hygge. Really good food. Attentive and fast service. Large selection of drinks..which are delicious and well crafted. A large space which feels inviting and comfortable. They are a big operation, but overall it felt quite accessible. Prices were decent.
The food was fantastic and the layout of the restaurant is perfect for a casual cocktail and apps kinda get together. They offer tables you can sit at and there are some places at the bar too. The burger I had was one of the best I’ve had in a long time and the rest of my tables food was also great. They were busy and service was a tiny bit slow, but really it’s not a deal breaker. As a bonus they have outdoor seating in what kinda looks like mini sheds and it’s a really cool way of doing it. The prices are also ok with some cocktails being more expensive than others, but nothing out of the ordinary here. Overall a great place to visit with friends.
Very nice atmosphere. Chic space with an airy feel. We got the 5-item board and loved everything, especially the crispy Brussels Sprouts. Service was good too. Very enjoyable experience.
Excellent brunch location with friendly bartender and servers. The eggs Bennedict that I ordered was amazing. The eggs came on a really thick slice of pork belly. Post meal I ordered the Nutty Barrista - which was a truly delightful coffee cocktail incorporating Amarula. Service (considering that this was a busy Sunday afternoon) was excellent.
What a great time! The atmosphere is seasonal, light and fun. The beer list is incredible, excellent selection. The food is innovative and exploratory. I loved every minute of this experience. I had such a good after work happy hour. The staff is knowledgeable and kind. Everything came quickly and it was all delicious. I certainly will be back!
Been meaning to make my way over here, and we finally stopped in for Valentine's Day. Delicious starters with their board - salmon nigiri, cheese curds, and to-die-for butter with bread. My fried chicken sandwich was good, but I do wish it had a little more sauce throughout. Loved the cocktails as well!
I’ve always came here for dinner (the burger is one of the best in the city) BUT recently came for brunch and it was some of the best brunch food I’ve had. The jacked up home fries had amazing flavor, and it didnt feel too heavy. Then the cinnamon and sugar french toast was the perfect sweet treat. The espresso martini wasn’t amazing, but the food made up for it.
The rib appetizer was great.,the beet salad with chicken was sub-par. The beets tasted like they were straight from a can and the chicken was so dry I couldn’t even finish it. The cola was flat, and the water was unfiltered tap that taste like chlorine. I won’t be back. I will say the wait staff was fantastic.
