We love it here, especially when the weather’s nice and you can get a seat outside. Fun food, and the service is always fantastic. And we love their Happy Hour… $4 drafts, a $12 appetizer board and 25% off draft wines. Crab fries aren’t on the HH menu, but they’re loaded with crab and definitely worth ordering either way (best bet is to pay $5 to upgrade your sandwich fries). That’s a HALF sandwich/fries side pictured btw - they split our order in the kitchen 🙏
I took my girlfriend here before a concert this past weekend and we had a wonderful time! The servers were wonderful. They were all so kind and friendly & everything came out very promptly. We also really liked that the bathrooms were fully stocked with hygiene products. We had the ricotta toast, the cheese curds, the Manchurian cauliflower, and a glass of the Adaptation rosé-inspired beer. Everything was excellent. Our favorite was the cheese curds, especially with their delicious spicy ranch! We would absolutely come here again & would recommend if you’re looking for a cozy spot for great food.
We hosted a dinner for 20 guests at Bar Hygge following a micro wedding at the gazebo at the Waterworks in Fairmount Park, and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish. The staff was warm, cordial, and extremely accommodating. They handled a large group with ease and graciously allowed us to bring in a small wedding cake from Isgro’s Bakery in South Philadelphia, 😋 which we really appreciated. Service throughout the evening was attentive without ever feeling intrusive. The restaurant itself was very comfortable—welcoming, relaxed, and refreshingly free of loud, distracting music, which made it perfect for conversation and celebration. Most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious with generous portions, and everything came out well-paced for a group of our size. The team truly went above and beyond to make the evening feel special and seamless. Overall, it was a wonderful setting for a post-wedding celebration, and we would gladly return!
They brew beer on sight which I think is awesome, I was given a tour of the brewery. The food was amazing a bit expensive but you get what you paid for. The staff are super friendly and great to talk to.
I checked out Bar Hygge in Fairmount, PA, and it completely lived up to the hype. From the moment you walk in, the place just feels right. The space is beautifully put together with a mix of furniture from all over that somehow fits perfectly, creating a warm, cozy, and stylish atmosphere. The decor is incredible, and the whole place has an effortless vibe that makes you want to settle in and hang out for a while with friends. The staff was excellent and the service was fast and on point without ever feeling rushed. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and clearly knew what they were doing, which added to how relaxed the experience felt. As for the food, I had their burger, and it was outstanding. Easily one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. It was packed with flavor, had a great smoky element, and was cooked perfectly. This is absolutely a burger worth going out of your way to try, especially paired with the atmosphere that comes with it. Overall, Bar Hygge is more than just a restaurant. It is a full on vibe. A perfect spot to grab great food, enjoy excellent service, and spend a few hours catching up with friends in a space that feels both unique and welcoming.
Great place to be with friends or family. Lots of good beverages and food. Great for either a quick meal or spending lots of time. Very good vibe and you get a lot for what you pay
Had reservations, but had to wait ~20min for our table. Service was fine. Food & drinks were excellent and the vibe is so cute.
My husband and I went here for brunch because we had a gift card. I was really looking forward to it, but wasn’t very impressed with the food. I got the breakfast sandwich and the bread was super dry - there was so much bread I couldn’t taste the contents of the sandwich. I ended up taking half the bread iff. The aioli sauce they had was nice tho. The potato’s were super greasy and didn’t have any seasoning to spice them up. My husbands toast was stale. The French toast was very good though and so was the service. I’ll go back to try their dinner menu. It’s probably a nice place to get a drink.
They had me at "Dessert Board," but I'm getting ahead of myself. Bar Hygge has become a Fairmount go-to for me. This particular visit was during Philly Wine Week, and they had a Rosé Flight, so that was a no-brainer. The local cheeses were on point, as usual, and our server was helpful and friendly. We couldn't decide on dessert, how does one choose between homemade Tasty Cakes and Duck Fat Donut Holes?! So we got the dessert board. I'm honestly not sure which was a better decision, the rosé flight or the dessert board, but neither disappointed. I love visiting this place, and you should too!
Food is great! Limited food options but the boards look amazing.
