Excellent service from Shay and Nathan; I loved my first time at Capital One Cafe. I also got free coffees for my husband and me.
Everyone here is so nice and helpful. The attention to care is top notch. The baristas are really sweet and upbeat and the guy with the white hair (not sure his name) was helpful when my WiFi wouldn’t work and gave me a free coffee for the inconvenience and I thought that was a really thoughtful gesture that goes above and beyond. The coffee is pretty good too! I like getting the nitro when it’s in stock. ☕️☕️☕️ and they use house made syrups versus batch purchased syrups that don’t taste as good. The vanilla is top notch!!!
I recently visited the Capital One Café on the Plaza, and I must say the friendly staff made the experience truly exceptional. Michael, in particular, stood out – his warm welcome, constant interaction, and genuine interest in my career as an aspiring actor make each visit memorable. His amazing smile and the genuine inquiries from the manager and other staff members keep me coming back. It’s a place where personal connections matter, adding a unique touch to the overall banking experience.
Verve Coffee is well know on the West Coast. Good quality coffee, decently priced menu. Food options are lacking.
My husband and I loved going here and taking our families. I even got my parents to switch banks recently. But today, the employee Michael (tall skinny bald guy) completely ruined the atmosphere. My husband and I walked into one of the community rooms to see if it was free. It was our first time to take a look to sit there and we did not realize there was a reserved sign on the table. We took one step in the room and Michael walks up to us and had a rude attitude. Saying “ you know you saw the sign” “it was in your face” “come on get out”. My husband told him we did not see it and Michael laughs at us and then said “yes you did”. I am not sure why he was so upset? He needs to fix his attitude and learn to respect other people. Not only that but the girl who works the register at the cafe has a horrible attitude too. The person in charge gave me 2 coupons to make up for it but I gave it to the homeless people outside because I am never stepping foot in that negative energy space again. I never write reviews but man, we did nothing and these two employees are mean for no reason. I don’t care if the specialty beverages are 50% off I rather have people who respect you and I will pay a full $6 for a coffee. Horrible service!
I like this cafe! I will try to make an effort to go more often when I’m in the area. We have a capital one card so we got half off drinks - i thought they’d charge $10-$12 for coffees, but it’s average coffee prices. They also have snacks and games. I really like the staff and atmosphere, and would recommend to anyone really.
I came to this location on two different days, and the experience was the total same. The baristas were so unfriendly, and unwelcoming. It’s not even funny. I’m a black woman, and I came in 10 minutes before closing and was immediately told, “just so you know we close in ten minutes.” Not even five minutes later, four Caucasian people walked in directly after me and they were not greeted with that same opening line. I didn’t even say anything, and instead, I accepted my coffees and thanked the barista who did not return any acknowledgment to my thank you. The following day I returned and ordered a coffee in the middle of the day and the barista had the same energy. She did not speak after I spoke with her, and she proceeded to have conversations with other people while I was trying to order my coffee. This time, I mentioned it to the entire staff and told him I will be leaving this review. To be blatantly disrespectful to me, for whatever reason is uncalled for. I will never return to their establishment. Oh, and the bathroom, smells like sewer water.
