When my Ford Escape was having AC issues, I called CMD Automotive get fixed and they were awesome! They were friendly, fit me in quickly, were transparent and honest on pricing, explained the issue clearly, and were even able to fix it the same day. I absolutely dread car stuff and they made the process pretty painless. Highly recommended!

Was reccomended this place by another shop for an oil change on my ford truck, called to check availability, super friendly service, got me in the next morning, very fair pricing, took great care, didn’t try to sell me anything extra, will be back every time!

CMD Automotive is hands down the best repair shop I’ve ever dealt with. From the moment I walked in, the staff treated me like family—no upselling, no runaround, just honest and professional service. They explained every detail of the work that needed to be done on my car, gave me a fair estimate, and actually stuck to it (a rarity these days). The mechanics clearly know their stuff and take real pride in their work. My car now drives better than it has in years, and they had it finished quicker than I expected. I also appreciated how clean and organized their shop was—it shows the level of care they put into everything. If you’re in Charlotte and need trustworthy auto repair, CMD Automotive is the place to go. I’ll never take my car anywhere else!

Just moved to the area and needed to get my car serviced. They were able to get the work done early to accommodate for a doctors appointment I needed my car for. I’m always hesitant of new mechanics, especially as a woman but these guys were great! Kevin was A+ to work with from the initial phone call all through a detailed walk through of what was done and what he would recommend I do at the next service. It was a welcoming and effective environment and they will be my go to guys from now on!

I've been a customer of CMD since 1995. I've ALWAYS over these past 30 years, been very pleased with their work. But this time they've outdone themselves.. Where do I start? For about 3+ months my wife and I had been looking for a car for our sons 18th birthday. We finally found the car from an AutoNation in Florida. Once the car was here we made an appointment for CMD to do a PSI (Post Sale Inspection) During that Inspection, we got some disappointing news. Service Advisor Bill advised us that the drivers side turbo waste gate was an issue that would at some point lead to the turbo to fail. We were given an estimate at a cost of 5k for replacement. We reached out to AutoNation and found out that the car, even though sold"As Is", did come with a 90 day 4k miles. warranty. We know that most Mechanic shops are not fans of 3rd party Warranty Claims. But Bill being the outstanding service advisor that he's ALWAYS been over the years, agreed to file the claim for us. After lots of diligence from Bill, and a bunch of red tape, time, back and forth etc. Two+ weeks later the warranty claim was approved!! Car was repaired and back in our possession. We couldn't be happier with this, outcome. Salute to you CMD, Jim, Dwight, Kevin and Team!! Salute to you Bill, for your kindness, and going above and beyond. See you again CMD, but hopefully not too soon! LOL

I had an excellent experience with this service provider. They were communicative, fair with their pricing, and kept me updated throughout the entire process about the starter replacement for my 2013 Ford F-150. The representative manager I spoke to, Kevin, was exceptional. Will recommend to friends and family.

These guys are the best diagnosticians on the planet. Thanks CMD for trouble shooting the weird issue on my pilot and getting me in the road again.

Charlotte girlies - if you’re like me and get nervous about being taken advantage of when it comes to car repairs, take it from me: CMD Automotive is the place you want to go. My car broke down on South Blvd minutes before they closed, and when I called them completely frantic, they didn’t hesitate to help. Bill immediately connected me with a tow company and gave me clear instructions on how to drop off my car after hours. The next morning, Bill texted me the minute they opened to confirm they had my car and were already looking into the problem. Within a few hours I had a full diagnosis and a quote. They finished the repair early - and the final total was actually less than the original estimate! My dad works in the automotive industry but lives out of state, and not only did he confirm the pricing was accurate and fair, but CMD even kept him updated throughout the process along with me. I can confidently say CMD has a customer for life. I’m incredibly grateful for their honesty, communication, and kindness. Highly recommend!

Always quality service at CMD. I take my cars for regular maintenance here. I think it is a little expensive, but you are paying for qualified techs who are going to get it right.
