I have been waiting about 6 weeks not for my medicaid to be approved. I'm 13 weeks pregnant and haven't been able to see a doctor in 2 months since I found out I was pregnant. I left a voicemail because that's the only option it has and it tells me that someone will return my call in 24-48 hours. That was over a week ago. I've never waited this long for an approval. The only time I've used medicaid was when I just moved to a new state and when I was pregnant and unable to work. The last time I was pregnant was 7 years ago and it wasn't nothing like this. I also still haven't received a call regarding WIC from 6 weeks ago and there is no way to speak to someone there either.
Honestly so frustrating to deal with these people. First of all I've called every morning for over a week and I just get the "our agents are all busy" bs. No one here is actually working . Occasionally I'll get the callback option but two times have a gotten a rude lady who just hangs up in the middle of the convo. She was giving me an attitude for saying yeah and not yes? No professionalism. After waiting all week to finally talk to one of these "agents" this place really needs to get shut down.
0 stars. As a former Mississippi resident, this is by far the worse government office I have ever been in contact with. Approved for food stamps for over a month, no card has been mailed, per employee "We added it to your card". We've lived here for 2 months, what card? The information on my case is incorrect for children's medical, cannot get the case worker, or any employee on the phone. The line always hangs up by the end of the call. Finally, received some kind of help after showing up in person. To be determined if this helped the issues I am having.
I just received notification that my son’s insurance was canceled for failure to provide paperwork. I never received any notifications to submit paperwork or renewal. This is absolutely unacceptable, families are being unenrolled under false pretenses.
I am pregnant 3 months, and I’ve been calling to change my pregnancy information. Had to create a new portal on gateway, I’ve been calling the automated numbers no one is in contact with me. I am just completely disgusted, and of course ppl in that office excuse will be “well don’t use state benefits” but honestly that’s not how you run a business. In 10 years I’ve never heard of “pregnancy” insurance to get approved. I’m just appalled, I have no prenatal care. Work insurance portal closed for this year for me. I’m just flat out disappointed, disgusted, and hurt because now I’m trying to figure out what to do to get an OBGYN. But honestly I know you people don’t care, because it isn’t in your heart to care.
I have been calling Georgia Medicaid for the last three days. It’s press one press two press 3 and so on, it’s automated and you cannot talk to a live person. That’s the worst type of customer service. Or is it that there trying to not answer so less people will apply. I can imagine there are people out there that are worse (in health) than I am and they cannot get through!
ZERO STARS. have been calling for 2 months and continually get "too many callers, please try again later, goodbye". I have spent countless hours on the phone leaving any connection a voicemail that has the option and nothing. I am currently a medicaid recipient in the state of Ohio and I have NEVER seen such a useless government office.
I can NOT get anyone to simply answer the phone. I have been trying for 8 months now. I have a serious need for this for my 5 yr old who is a Severe Diabetic. When I am able to even get prompts, it eventually gives the option to talk to someone. When you choose that option, it takes you to “The Virtual Lobby” and never a person to talk to. I’m going in circles on the website AND the phone prompts. I need to apply for my 5 yr old with Type 1 Diabetes and I have questions about the plans and even just to apply. I am frustrated to anger and tears. This is beyond ridiculous. Such a disservice Georgia.
I am disabled and was put on medicaid. I broke my jaw recently and need to see an oral surgeon. There are no providers to speak of and the one place I finally found was booked till June. There is such a poor level of care for anyone on medicaid! I can't get other procedures authorized by some of my other providers, I called in to speak with someone and was told that they couldn't discuss MY medical records/needs with me and would only talk to my dr?! It's MY medical history! It's honestly like people on medicaid don't matter! I have been so discouraged by my level of care not to mention the pain I have to endure because I can't get treatment! Providers don't want to deal with them and so patients like me just fall between the cracks. Very disheartening!
I have been trying to get my wheelchair fix for a month and Medicaid has done nothing I been calling to talk to someone but no response until today they told me I can't do anything about it This ridiculous I have been without a wheelchair for over a month I missed doctor's appointments and everything because I don't have a wheelchair to get around .
