I'm the grateful parent of a recent (April) GCU grad. Having visited the three major universities in Arizona, my daughter and I agree that there is no university in this state with the kind of warm, friendly, and respectful atmosphere that is felt on GCU's campus. From staff to students, everyone is so helpful and kind. All of our daughter's professors and advisors went out of their way to help her during her four years there. The guidelines for classes and for graduation were clear. And speaking of graduation - never have I been to a graduation that was so well-managed. There were thousands of people in the arena and on the main lawn, yet there was no ugly behavior. The crowd control was impressive and reassuring. There were volunteers stationed EVERYWHERE, all of them clearly identified with badges and/or lanyards, at all possible entry and exit points, directing pedestrian and vehicle traffic and giving out helpful information. There were no awkward pauses or fumbles in the ceremony. Hundreds of names were read out perfectly and kept the procession smooth. There was respect for tradition and an expectation for a certain level of formality which elevated the celebration, but didn't make it rigid. There was humor and fun, too. The GCU choir was professional quality and astonishingly good. It was clear from the speeches that GCU admin and faculty love what they do and love their students. My only regret is that I have only one child to send to this wonderful school. Go Lopes!!!

I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND GCU! They do not care about the student, just the money. I was told that I could get my masters online for teaching English Language Leaners (Their TESOL Program). My state said that it did not qualify as a masters and there was more that I had to do but that I could get an endorsement. Fast forward, I need a form completed for MY state verifying the program I attended through AZ and they refused to complete it Now I cannot get an endorsement either and now I must seek legal action as all they have to offer is an apology. Apologys won't cover my debt or get me the endorsement I seeked as they enrolled me under false pretenses.

I attended in 97 when the school had a much more religious bent to it. I needed to transfer in 64 credits and get my BA so I could move on in life. I didn't want to offend them by explaining that I did not believe in the supernatural and that I chose the school because I could park but that was pretty much the case. I could not hold a job and attend ASU at the same time. I needed GCU to finish. I was scared that since it was so religious there would be no tail to chase but it was the opposite. There was Tail-O-Plenty! For this reason, I will give it the full five stars it deserves.

Through the chaos of graduation...the staff had everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) running VERY smooth. Everything was labeled and staff was right there to help. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and prepared for how to help. The WHOLE graduation ceremony (from start to finish) was a breeze. So glad to be a Lope!!! Go Lopes!

Great facility, great place to send your kids to college. My niece just started here this semester and The staff here is all about making sure that the parents are fully informed on what’s going on with their kids (in this case, my cousin). Security is of the highest priority and that’s a big check off the list. Everything is so well maintained. Plenty of restaurants and activity centers for the students. There is almost no need to leave the campus for anything. 3 swimming pools, volleyball, and just about every sport is available here. Great atmosphere and overall safe place.

Best University Ever. Got both my Bachelor's and my Master's degree there. I did allmy classes online, and it was great. The faculty and staff are wonderful. The University has the graduation ceremony down to a fine science.

Absolutely horrible. This University has to have the WORST policies to ever be enforced at any institution in recent history. I use military tuition assistance to pay for my schooling, as such, I'm required to submit a request for said tuition assistance for every class I take. The tuition assistance request must be made 7 days prior to the class start date. This wouldn't be an issue if the University ensured that students are aware of classes that they have been registered for. However, the schools policy states that councelors are not required to inform students when they are registered for a class. The councelors will simply register you for a class without notifying you that they've registered you. Even after explaining that I need to be consulted personally prior to registering me for classes due to how my Tuition Assistance works, my student councelor has continued to register me for classes without my knowledge. This has resulted in me frantically attempting to request to withdraw from classes because I didn't have enough time to apply for Tuition Assistance. Going further into GCUs policy's, it says that full tuition can only be refunded if you ask to drop the class before it starts. This combination of idiotic policy's creates a situation where students are unable to withdraw from their classes prior to their start date due to the fact that NO ONE TOLD THE STUDENT THAT THEY WERE REGISTERED! Thus, causing the student to incur the fee associated with dropping the class during the first week of the course. The most aggravating part of trying to navigate this system, is that even when you request to withdraw before the class start date, the counselors might just forget or decide not to remove you! This has happened with my past 2 classes, where I have requested that I be removed from the class, but then I go into Halo (GCUs version of Canvas), and find that I'm still in the class and the class has already started. It was an absolute nightmare trying to escape paying the stupid fee for a mistake that the councelors made. What was even worse, the first time that this happened was during the government shutdown. There was no guarantee that I was going to get paid and no way for me to even try to request Tuition assistance. Despite this, when I attempted to explain the situation to the councelors I was rebuffed several times and told that there was nothing that they could do. After a week or two completely stressing out over how I was going to pay the fee and rent without knowing if I was going to get paid at all that month, I finally explained my situation in a way that the councelors understood to the point that they were willing to waive the fee. After that whole debacle I requested that I be removed from all future classes because I no longer wanted to attend classes at GCU. Now today Dec 1, I've been made aware that I was registered for another class without my prior knowledge and it started today! I'm separating from the military soon and won't be getting paid my same wage. I'm desperately trying to get all my paperwork in order so I can get back home for Christmas this year. I don't need to be needlessly stressing out over having to drop a class from a University that I explicitly told that I want nothing to do with. TLDR: DON'T GO TO SCHOOL HERE!!!!

DO NOT go to this school. I attended this school briefly online in 2021/2022. I understand this is a Christian college but the Christian worldview class was a joke. Being a required class, it sounded interesting because I was told we would be talking about other religions, comparing, etc. As soon as I mentioned in a discussion post that I grew up a Christian but was now agnostic, I was verbally attacked by my classmates and the instructor did NOTHING. Another instructor for the English class was also as useless as can be. Due to work keeping me longer than they promised, I was returning home at 4 am, getting an hour of sleep before my child woke up resulting in me failing the same English class three times because of me failing the same essay three times. I received no feedback from the instructor whatsoever to help me. They do not care.

I majored in Biology, was an on-campus student, and enjoyed every year here! My professors prepared me well for medical school and I'm still in contact with some of them today. I also really enjoyed working as a TA
