would not recommend this school for a masters program. it has been nothing but a headache to deal with student services and the lack of support given when my dad passed away last year is concerning. I wish NAU offered the CMHC program fully online because I had a much better experience with them for my undergrad in social work.

Had a great official tour today despite the limited staff available; didn't realize that almost 25,000 students are enrolled there. Beautiful campus with all the academic and athletic courses/sports(intramural, club, and Division 1) available. As visitors from SC we were pleasantly surprised with the Christian influence on the campus(dry campus). It's my son's first choice

Parking in Garage building#7 on 33rdAvewas the best for going into the areana. We had to checkin at theguard station, drive around it then enter the parking garage. Parking was allowed on the 2ndfloor and above. It was the AFHE homeschool senior graduation. The campuswas very green. The areana was building #38 there is a museum to JERRY COLANGELO here and a beautiful tripple cross monument. The restrooms are spacious and everything but the soap dispensers are automated. The seats of the arena were a tight squeeze to sit down on if you are 1x or bigger

I had a great experience up until the last class with these people. I had an instructor who accused me of plagiarism it was unfounded and I graduated however the assignment that was unfounded was still marked as a zero screwing up my gpa to become a psychiatric nurse practitioner. DO NOT GO TO THIS COLLEGE!!!

I had a very frustrating experience with Grand Canyon University. I was misled multiple times about teacher licensure requirements, wasting over $500 on the Praxis, almost $2,000 due to scheduling errors, and $305 on a certification application that was denied because I was missing 11 liberal arts credits — despite graduating in May 2025. Advising and administrative support were unreliable, leaving me stressed and financially burdened. I cannot recommend GCU for anyone needing accurate guidance on teacher certification or program requirements.

I’ve been enrolled at Grand Canyon University for about a year, and my experience has been disappointing. I was initially led to believe that my degree would cost about half of what I’m actually being charged. Once enrolled, I found that tuition and fees were much higher than expected, and communication about financial aid was unclear. The school promotes itself as a Christian university, but I found that some professors teach from perspectives that differ from traditional Christian doctrine. The only course that strongly incorporates biblical principles is a mandatory $4,000 university class, which feels inconsistent with GCU’s advertised mission. What concerns me most is the handling of financial aid. A loan was requested under my name without my authorization, and despite multiple attempts to speak with leadership, I was given the runaround with no resolution. Students also have very little control over their aid and loan management. I truly hope GCU takes accountability, improves transparency, and aligns its actions with the values it promotes.

Need to move. It an gigantic mess. They be close down 3 line to down to two. Instead of using their easements and making like city buses do ams make dips and lanes to be only for their entrances. Holds up traffic. Especially when they have a special event

This is the only bad review on my Google reviews, but sometimes something is so bad that you must speak up. I feel God commands us to this. Please read up on or seek out stories of students who have been mislead, scammed or not given pertinent information before enrolling, especially in the online education programs. Students are innocent and need proper guidance on what these items mean or what they are signing up for. GCU I feel knows what they are doing to deceive, based on my experiences with them. I was one that was deceived. I luckily got out before competing the Masters in Education with Initial Licensure and successfully earned this elsewhere about 5 years ago. However, in the process GCU took a good 10k from me. Please, anyone enrolled in this program at GCU, please read the stories of others or seek this information out. Your licensure will most likely not be able to be transferred over or it will be impossible to even acquire it, which would result in you not being able to work in a public school and a true waste of your time and much money.

I relocated my entire family from Oklahoma to Arizona to attend GCU after being introduced to the school through OIC of Oklahoma. From the very start, my experience was full of misguidance and miscommunication. I was passed between multiple counselors, given wrong information, and often left without responses for weeks. As a first-generation college student, I received little to no proper guidance or support. Financially, I faced constant confusion and pressure. I was told by a GCU representative to make down payments for both semesters, which I later learned wasn’t required. The payment portal and budget sheet never matched, and when I asked for clarification, I received no clear answers. I was also charged unexplained fees, including an “activity fee” that I was never informed about or used. I also experienced discrimination twice — first with a student club where I was singled out and made to feel unwelcome, and second with a campus security officer who stopped me without explanation while ignoring others around me. These incidents, combined with poor communication and lack of accountability, made me feel disrespected and unsupported. I moved here believing GCU would provide the caring, Christian environment it promotes, but the reality has been the opposite. I experienced misguidance, discrimination, and a complete lack of attention to students like me who are paying out of pocket and trying to build a better future. I am now withdrawing from GCU and asking for a full financial breakdown of how my payments and Pell Grant were applied, since I have yet to receive them. This experience has been deeply disappointing and disheartening.
