Oh my God! I wanted to kiss the hands that made that jerk chicken lunch combo! It was warm, it was the perfect spice level, the rice was cooked to perfection, the chicken was juicy but nicely marinated! Had a busy morning clinic, the food rejuvenated us all ! (Maybe with a side of heart burn - but that’s ok).

This isn't the fanciest place, but you are absolutely missing out if you don't give it a try! We had the whole snapper and it was life changing! Also had the Brown Stew Chicken- amazing, falling apart with perfect tenderness! Don't be missing out y'all! The owner Peter was super friendly too! WE LOVE YOU PETER! ❤️❤️❤️ Thanks for a great experience!

The food was good however the portions were VERY small compared to the price. Seems intentional. I spent $30 for an oxtail plate and literally had the smallest oxtails I’ve ever seen in my life. The same goes for the Curry Chicken. VERY little meat and mostly bones. Very disappointing.

Irie Diner was an experience. I had the snapper, the food was well seasoned and the plate provided plenty of it. The atmosphere was clean, warm, and inviting right down to the music. The server was friendly. The experience was wrapped up by talking to Peter who is clearly passionate about providing good food and an excellent atmosphere for his customers.

Had lunch there today and it was fantastic! The food was authentically Caribbean and unique. The service was friendly and timely. The atmosphere was also authentic and loved the music playing in the background. The owner, Peter personally came around to our table to check on it. He was delightfully friendly. Thanks so much for a great lunch.

This is our first time coming here for lunch and it was nothing short of amazing. The Service was top-tier. The food was top-tier. The ambience was top-tier. 10 out of 10 definitely coming back. I had the curry chicken with coconut rice and cabbage. My husband had the jerk chicken with plantain and red beans and rice.

Authentic island flavor in OP? this spot is the real deal. Their strength is absolutely customer service! You can feel the passion the moment you walk in. This team loves people, loves to cook, and it shows in every plate they serve. A true full‑service Caribbean restaurant, delivering bold, mouthwatering flavors that honor the spirit of the islands. Every protein is properly marinated, not just surface seasoned, so the flavor HITS all the way through. That’s their Irie promise: "One Love. One Flavor. One Experience You’ll Always Remember" I tried the Jamaican jerk chicken, jerk pork tenderloin, and jerk ribs with cabbage and jerk fries, and every bite was incredible. Add in the live reggae music every Thursday and the complimentary coffee, and you’ve got an experience that feels like a mini‑vacation right here in OP. Authentic food. Amazing people. Unforgettable vibes. Irie

We visited Irie Diner on our visit to Jacksonville. I must say that this restaurant was one of the best tasting places I have eaten in a while. I had the snapper with rice and pea, delicious! The atmosphere was inviting and the owner is very friendly. I will definitely be visiting again the next time I’m in Florida.

Hands down one of the best foods I’ve ever had. I don’t even smoke and told my husband I needed a cigarette after that meal. I ordered 3 The Hard Way with Jamaican Styled Oxtail, Guyana Curry Goat and Jerk Ribs. Drooling as I even type these out. I didn’t finish it but I know my take out plate won’t even make it back to the hotel. 😂 The service was fantastic! Seeing as how I don’t live in Florida…I just know I will be back.

Had such a great experience here! Peter, the owner, really sets the tone—his hospitality is genuine and makes you feel welcome right away. The service overall was smooth, friendly, and attentive without being over the top. The Trinidad jerk chicken wings were packed with bold, smoky flavor and just the right kick of spice, and the conch fritters were absolutely delicious—crispy on the outside and full of flavor inside. Definitely a spot worth coming back to if you appreciate good vibes, great service, and seriously tasty food.
