Irie Diner Caribbean Restaurant

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic was my last visit to your establishment prompted a recent return. I was highly satisfied with the service provided from beginning to end; the food quality was exceptional, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the service was outstanding. However, minor improvements could enhance the experience. The waitstaff appeared occasionally overwhelmed, requiring several consultations with management. Furthermore, while not obligatory, increasing the military discount from 2% to 5% or more would be a welcome enhancement, especially considering the 2.5% convenience fee effectively offsets the existing discount. Overall, your establishment is excellent. I will be back for more.

My wife and I went out on our Friday night date night last night and we chose one of the best Caribbean restaurants we have been to over the years. The Atmosphere was phenomenal. Great service! 5 STARS without a doubt! Then we tasted the food! Could not be done any better. Peter, I love what you are doing and the great quality service you are providing in a high quality restaurant. We will definitely be back! The whole Snapper with broken stew is still tingling on my tongue . My wife is still talking about the Tofu and jasmine rice with jerk sauce. The kids are still arguing over the Oxtail. Well done!

Food wasn’t that good. Tasted like it was microwaved. My rice and beans was dry. Oxtail plate wasn’t worth $30. Didn’t really smell an aroma of food being freshly cooked so I was not going to get my hopes up. The jerk chicken appetizer was ok. Could have had crispier coating.

Coming from NYC...trust me when I tell you, I've tried a few places and this is the closest I've gotten to tasting the real thing in Jacksonville. Man...my order got messed up accidently and the owner, himself, drove my food to my house. Repsect, my brotha. I'll be back. Oh yeah...the oxtails were so good, they ran out before 3pm! C'mon now....i had to settle for the tasty and succulent goat and stewed chicken...darn it! 😃

The owner is so nice!! The staff is wonderful and the food is amazing. Every time I go I am satisfied with the taste! Would definitely recommend coming here.

If love had a flavor. This is where you find it. Im here for a visit and had a taste for some good Caribbean food. I got so lucky because Irie Diner was absolutely fantastic. I ordered the Jerk Chicken Wings to start. They were awesome because they're not fried, but real traditional jerk wings and they don't cover up the true flavor (not drowned in sauce). I has the in-house made pineapple lemonade. Finally I had the Curry Goat with beans and rice with cabbage (so fresh). Here is the thing, the Curry Goat came with the Gravy on the side. I love it.... They are telling you, daring you to taste and experience the true flavor. All that and the service was incredibly good. I loved my experience and I hope you do as well.

Fantastic diner with authentic carribean food. Homey decor. Clean establishment. Loved everything about it. Large portions and decent prices. Food was freshly made. Oxtail dish was a hit. The goat stew was good too. Plantains were delicious. Most of all, the service was amazing. The chef came out and delivered the dishes. The owner checked in. Friendly and hospitable. If we make it back to Florida, we'll be back.

1st, let me say the service was outstanding. The owner asked for our honest opinions regarding the food. I love a good meal 😋 the food was delicious. I'd suggest the snapper with escovitch and the appetizer platter. My only gripe is a 3.00 upcharge to "premium sides" that was disappointing 😞 by all means, stop in and enjoy your meal.. I'd give it a 4.5 out of 5

Food was incredible! Even the bones melt in your mouth 🤤Well crafted menu items with phenomenal flavor and you can taste the depth of craftsmanship. The owner and staff were lovely and let us sample so many great dishes. 10 years of excellence tou can tell from the clean atmosphere and friendly conversations. The jerk pork tenderloin has my heart and ill be back to try the snapper 😋

BEWARE‼️‼️‼️ I ordered jerk ribs dinner and was surprised with being upcharged for the sides i chose. Waitress was super nice and kind, but was sneaky about the upcharges and didn't warn that a tiny cup the size of a quarter would be 1.00$ also paid an extra 2.50 per side. Food is okay
