One of their customers rear ended my vehicle. I put a claim in and the adjuster assigned to my claim is never available. I've been calling everyday left messages and even get transferred to claim department to be put on hold and told my adjuster is not available. Im told no rental until claim is approved. When is that going to be when nobody is in contact with you? Owner please dont respond with the same rewritten response given to everyone else that is complaining about the same thing! Emailing or telephone calls obviously don't work or change anything. I will have to seek my own legal action

The online portal is great and fast to respond back to you. I would recommend this insurance company.

I would give this company 0 stars if possible. My experience with Yolanda Rodriguez and the customer service department has been a complete nightmare. They are unhelpful and dismissive. Even worse, the claims adjuster was unprofessional, disrespectful, and displayed a shocking attitude throughout the process. Dealing with a car accident is hard enough; dealing with this company’s incompetence and lack of respect is unacceptable. Avoid them at all costs.

Kemper is the worst insurance company in the country IMO. My vehicle was damaged by one of their “insured” drivers in an accident that was 100% their fault. Kemper accepted fault but flat out refused to pay. I had to go through my own insurance (an actual insurance company not this fake one) to get my vehicle fixed. My insurance sued Kemper and won and I was reimbursed. I win and you lose Kemper. Probably happens every day here.

Talk about a nightmare. I have been helping my girlfriend deal with a claim for months with absolutely no help. She got rear ended while parked at a restaurant she works at. Rep has been unresponsive, saying they are waiting for updates. After 2 months they finally she told her to go get an estimate and they’ll let her know how much they can cover. NICE! She is being forced to pay a $1,000 deductible to her own insurance company to fix. She’s lucky in helping her because she doesn’t have the money. Nice to know they leave people out to dry. We will be filing suit and getting our money back. I don't understand how companies like this are legally allowed to stay open. If someone can remedy this. Claim number is 2510272191

I recently experienced a minor car accident. At the request of the other party involved, police were not called to the scene. We exchanged insurance information and took all necessary actions ourselves. Attempting to reach my insurance company by phone was not just difficult; they didn’t answer at all. This was unsettling, considering the possibility of a more severe accident requiring medical or police intervention. After multiple attempts, I finally received a response from the insurance company. I clarified that there was no significant damage or injury, and that I was not seeking any claim payment. However, the subsequent claims process became unduly complicated. The company’s representatives were not forthcoming with clear information; they seemed to prefer phone communication over email and did not provide me with transparent next steps. Despite my inquiries, they gave only vague or default answers. Unbeknownst to me, a payment was made to the claimant. The lack of clear communication and transparency has been frustrating, to say the least. I’ve discovered similar grievances from other customers, indicating that my experience was not an isolated incident. Given these circumstances, I made the decision to cancel my policy. The unresponsiveness and, at times, blatant disrespect from their claims team made it a risk I wasn’t willing to take in case of a more serious incident. While their rates initially drew me in, I’ve learned that lower cost does not equate to better service. If you find yourself in a similar situation, I strongly recommend filing a complaint with your state’s Department of Insurance. My experience with this company was far from satisfactory, and I would hate for others to go through what I did, especially in the case of a severe accident.

Do not use insurance, very unprofessional. They are not on top of their claims. I work at an Auto-body shop and we are currently going through hell and back trying to get them to resolve an issue with our customer. We have never had such a long turn around time with any other insurance companies. STAY AWAY.

Leech of society. I’ve tried to contact our adjuster for the past 3 months regarding roof damage. No callbacks, emails or any forms of communication. There has since been significant torrential storms rolling through the southeast while the roof waits for repair. As soon as the house is paid off, I will be glad to remove these parasites. Update : with very little notice I’ve been informed that kemper will be exiting the home and auto insurance market. With that my adjuster was let go without reassignment to close out my case. My claim is now closed and I am very grateful to the kind soul that is Diana Williams who picked up my claim and got me through.

Not only is this company a substandard insurance company the insurance agents are illiterate, rude and unprofessional. If you have this company as your insurance provider you are in serious trouble when it comes to getting coverage to complete your repairs and if you are liable you are guaranteed to be sued. Either way do not waste your time or money. I had to post at least one start to post or else their ratings would be zero which is their real quality of service. Update 1/4/2024 I gave Kemper almost a month to provide me with a decent estimate after being T-boned on 12/7/2023 by one of their insured drivers in the parking lot of my school the estimate provided was only $1067 which would not cover a touch up paint job at any decent shop so I after I stated that to Ysenia Ramos Diaz in the Downers Grove office she hung up on me, i immediately call her back thinking it was possibly my cell phone and still have never heard from her since. I wrote this review and was called by a supervisor told him the situation and requested to have my name spelled correctly that was never done and there multiple times it took days to return my calls so after a month long run around I spoke to another adjuster Fredric Spears who sent the same quote with the $1067 amount I decided to file through my insurance company to have my repairs completed within less than 4 hours my agent scheduled me with an Collison repair center less than 3 miles from my home and SUV rental. I cannot stress enough how good it felt to be dealing with real humans again who actually stand on the professionalism of their service. Please if you are inquiring on using this insurance company as your provider RUN I stand on my original sentence Kemper adjusters are illiterate, Rude and unprofessional when when it comes to fair market rate for repairs which I had two estimate prepared that both had a $58 rate with repairs estimated over 4,000 Kemper tried to use $30 as their rate, which I was advised that is completely substandard and I was told by the mechanic of the estimates that no decent Collison shop will touch the vehicle with Kemper estimate out of fear of not being paid at all they also sent with their estimate a list of car shops mostly on the south side of Chicago when clearly I live in the Northwest suburbs but these people refuse to even take the time to verify my name was spelled correctly on paper work which only takes a elementary education at best lastly, and worst was their lack of professionalism hanging up, not returning calls or emails at all just to prolong the delay in processing this claim which added insult to the injury of this crisis situation that wasn’t even my fault.

0/5 stars if I could. There is nothing good about them. Took months to get a claim, while having a leaking roof, and then I get measly check that does not cover the expense of repairing the roof from hail damage. Asked for an update as I had to pay for a tarp as well to cover the leak, and it took months and they denied again. There was no one helpful, what a garbage insurance company. This company is a scam-do not use.
