What a great shop to pick up some high quality Texan merch! My most recent paycheck evaporated quicker than Thanos after I was done but it was well worth it. Thankfully, they ship or I probably wouldn’t have gotten anything. Thanks, ya’ll!

I visited Forth Worth almost six months ago and I knew I want my first hat and boots from this store and I wasn’t disappointed. All employees were absolutely awesome, amazing and kind lady helped me with picking out my boots and James made my first hat and it was awesome experience. Made it a mission to get myself a custom made cowboy hat for a while now and came across James in Mavericks whilst on a 3 day getaway with my partner. James is an absolute artist in his profession. He helped with every single detail throughout the process. The perfect color for the hat, the materials, he then moulds it to your head and shapes it to fit your build and your frame. The whole experience was amazing. He was super friendly, telling us about himself as well as interested in us. The whole process was about 40 minutes and James made the entire thing fun and a great experience. Would highly recommend James to anyone wanting to get themselves an authentic piece of headwear. Beautiful selection of merchandise. The custom hat department is great. They will fit the hat to your size. You can wait at the beautiful bar to get the drink and wait.

If you're shopping for a hat, ask for Buck! He's amazing. Over the weekend, my wife and I went shopping for my first cowboy hat. I have struggled in the past to find something that fits my head, isn't too tall and generally looks good. I also know nothing about cowboy hats, so I wasn't sure what to look for in terms of quality. I went in another store in the Stockyards, which honestly had an incredible selection. I guess I have expensive taste, though, as the hat I loved in that store was $1,400—WAY out of my budget range. My wife and I found our way to Maverick Fine Western Wear. When we got to the hat section, Buck greeted us and offered his service. I asked several questions, and he quickly got to work. He knew his selection like the back of his hand, and he quickly popped up the stairs to his inventory and came down with what ended up being the perfect hat for me. Seriously, I could not be happier with my purchase! It was an investment, but the quality is there and it was a fraction of the price of the other hat (not a knock on that one, as the quality was bonkers). If you need a great cowboy hat, GO SEE BUCK AT MAVERICK!

My new sister in law and I went into Mavericks after searching for the perfect boots and running out of luck after two days of searching. I wish I could remember the employees name who assisted us but she was so helpful and kind. I pulled her to the side and told her that my sister in law thinks she’s attending an award ceremony, but it’s really her proposal. She dropped everything she was doing and made sure we found her the perfect boots. Thank you so much to mavericks and the woman who helped us make their day so special!

I had multiple wonderful experiences here in the past. Had a beautiful custom hat made and loved it so much I brought my dad here to get a hat made too. Always made sure to stop by at Mavericks when I came to the Stockyards. When I initially purchased the hat, I wasn’t sure what shape I wanted and was told I could come back and get it reshaped if I changed my mind down the line. Then, I stopped back in last summer and asked to get it reshaped and was quickly dismissed by a salesperson, and not able to speak with the hat maker. I tried to explain what I was told when I initially purchased the hat and was told that I was wrong and need to purchase a new hat. I certainly understand if they were busy that day, however the condescending conversation left a bad taste in my mouth for a store I love going to. All I wanted was for my hat to be re-shaped and was just disappointed with how I was treated and the lack of their customer service. Sad to say they’ve lost a great customer in me and my family.
