Paris Hatters

After a year of searching for the right hat, I finally found it here. The staff is very helpful and professional. One of the gentlemen (the one wkth the msutache) that assisted me gave me tips and helped me find the right hat style for my head. He was incredibly helpful. Then he took his time helping me shape my brim to my preferred shape. And he ended with giving me tips on how to keep my hat clean and safe. I'm telling you, I've been to the famous Shorty's Hattery in Oklahoma City, and their service sucked. The people at Paris Hatters are amazing. Highly recommend coming here for your hat.

Drove down to Paris Hatters today to get a new hat - something suitable for an outdoor California beach wedding. Bought the Resistol "Tycoon" hat. Wanted something a little more upscale looking than the typical cowboy hat. It looks great and fits perfectly. The service at Paris Hatters was super! Thank you, gentlemen! I had the most life-changing experience in this store today. I read about the authenticity of this store prior to my trip. Needless to say, the experience was better than I ever could have imagined. The woman that worked with me helped me find the perfect size hat - chose the exact size I needed just by looking at me - and then worked with me to personalize it. We added a beautiful leather belt and feather that really made the hat what I had imagined. The professional hatter trimmed the brim of the hat for me - I'm barely 5'2" and a petite young woman - so that the hat was originally too large for my head. He then further styled it to be perfectly customized to me. This was a relatively quick process, actually took less time than I expected, but was very very high quality work. It was incredible to observe. While my hat was being personalized, I got to speak with the family. I'm not sure of the name of the man I was speaking with today, but he was so incredibly welcoming and completely made my day. I spoke with him about being in town for the national occupational therapy convention, and how I'm a graduate student that one day would like to work in special needs pediatrics. We got to talking about incorporating horses into therapy, and I described how that is an interest of mine because my husband and I have two horses and he is a barrel racer. We had an incredible conversation, I put on my beautiful hat, and thanked them. Right before leaving he asked if I would be comfortable with him and his family praying over me. I happily said yes, I was honored to be asked this question. They blessed me, my studies, my family, and my future work as an OT. I was moved to tears as I walked out the door, feeling as if I was supposed to be there today, and that the work I'm doing is so worth it. I will be forever grateful for this place and their family. I hope to return with my husband in the future to get him a new hat ❤️ Lastly, I want to briefly speak on negative reviews left below. This family was incredibly kind when I walked in and very very politely asked to handle the hats for customers in order to protect their merchandise. Please be understanding when another human kindly asks you to not touch their products. These hats are custom made and expensive. Be understanding, be kind, be empathetic, be better.

I love the attention to detail and customization. My husband bought a few hats before me, and I fell in love with their long history of hat services for so many legends in the music industry. The store is like a museum with all of the famous people who have been customers 💕

I bought an old Resistol hat from an antique store, but the sweatband was all crusted and coming off. The guy I purchased it from recommended I take it to Paris Hatter’s. Garrett greeted me as I entered and educated me on how they can replace the sweatband with quality leather and hand stitch. Garrett was able to replace the sweatband and reshape the brim in an hour and half. I was very satisfied with the work and price. Highly recommend!!

Pretty much underwhelmed every time O come here. Know it’s an icon - but the inventory on the floor is underwhelming, the staff is sleepy and board and the overall experience is kind of a downer. Lots of other spots to go to for what should be a solid experience.

Great experience! First time hat buyer. The staff is extremely knowledgeable. They walked me through the hat buying process and help me pick the perfect hat for me. Plenty of hats to choose from. I would definitely stop in the next time I’m in San Antonio.

I visited Paris Hatters 20 years ago after my initial introduction by a friend. It's a truly unique store with a great atmosphere. I'm a "city boy" that moved my family to the country. I never expected to come back to Paris Hatters but my family bought me a gift certificate for a recent birthday. I took my daughters and we made a day of it. Paris Hatters has excellent products with superb customer service. They know their products so well, they knew our sizes before we did! I highly recommend them if you're looking to buy or just experience something different. Please check them out. You will not be disappointed.

Just wanted to share what a great experience I had here. On our trip to Texas this time I wanted to get a custom cowboy hat. I Checked out multiple hat stores online before our trip and decided on Paris Hatters, because they were with in walking distance of our hotel and also the fact they were around for a long time and have a good history. I did read the reviews on the store and was a little nervous going in due to the 1 star reviews I read. I went in on Wednesday and was greeted by a very nice young lady, She did ask me questions but as this was my first custom type hat I let a lot up to her. She showed me several hats that she thought would be good for me and when I picked one she got my size and then let me try on the hat. She then helped me pick out a hat band that really went well with the hat. I then told her that my wife was there on business and she would want to see it before I bought it which she was OK with. My wife and I went back in on Thursday afternoon and the young lady that helped me was off that day so the young gentleman in the picture then helped us. I showed him the the hat and band I was looking at and the size, he did make sure the size was correct and then got the hat. He did some adjustments to it and fit it on me. I decided that was the hat I wanted and my wife also agreed. After I told him what shape I was looking for he went on and shaped it to exactly what I wanted. The Hat turned out great and I love it and the whole experience was great, just what I expected getting a custom hat to be. I also met the owners and others that were working in the shop and they were all very nice and helpful. On Friday my wife noticed a spot of glue under the band and I forgot to get my picture with the hat at the store. We returned to the store that afternoon and they fixed my band and got the little area of glue cleaned up and he noticed that the fit needed a little adjustment so he did that. Overall it was a great experience and I love my new hat and everybody at the shop was nice and very helpful ( even with questions not regarding hats ) Thank you for a great experience.
