Outstanding hat shop. Huge selection, but what really stands out is the service. Domingo helped my wife and I each pick out and buy a hat. He was amazing, extremely knowledgeable and incredibly patient with two first time hat buyers. I'd give Domingo 10 stars if I could.
I had a great experience at this shop. They were attentive and gave us great suggestions as well as helped with the sizing of the hats 🎩 just do not touch the hats and ask their assistance and no photos inside as requested
Found this place while visiting the Alamo. Thought I was gonna be there a long time. They helped me right away me with the hat and within 15 minutes I had a new Stetson. They were very courteous and friendly, even though they knew we were tourist from out of town. Great to see an old business still thriving and serving the community.
We drove over an hour and a half to visit this well-known hat store, excited to finally experience it. When our group of four adults and three small children entered, an older white man at the door immediately said, “No, no, no! Too many people!” We were surprised and asked why. He told us to wait outside without any clear explanation of how long we would need to wait, and he quickly ushered us out the door. Moments later, we saw three white men walk in with no issue. My husband followed them in to see if the man would react — but he didn’t say a word. This inconsistency was deeply upsetting and felt discriminatory. Regardless of how “famous” this store may be, no one deserves to be treated that way. We left immediately and will not be returning. Businesses should treat all customers with respect and fairness
My husband and I came to town for vacation and buying hats from Paris Hatters was going to be our splurge. We had a great experience! I got a beaver felt Stetson and my husband got a straw Resistol. Garrett helped us and he was great. He knew our hat size just by looking at our heads! He took his time and was very patient and made sure the hat was perfect and just how we wanted it. Fun experience for sure! We would go back!
I bought my first lid from Paris Hatters today. Awesome experience! I originally bought a cowboy hat from Cavenders early this week, but returned it today. I'm thankful I did. Now don't get me wrong. I love Cavenders, but for hats Paris Hatters is where it's at. Luis helped me pick out a hat and helped shape it to my preference and liking. The guy knows his business and made my first hat buying experience a great one. All around good guy and I can't to go buy another. Thanks for the first class experience.
We went in fully intending to each buy a hat. We left disgusted with the experience. They’re so worried about someone looking around to find the right hat size that they follow you around as if touching their hats would be the worst thing you could possibly do. I have never been to a hat store where you couldn’t pick up the hat yourself and try different sizes. If you are worried about tourists that don’t know how to shop for hats or might break your oh so delicate straw hats, then move locations. Highly recommend a shop like Gruene Hat Company- great little town and happy to have tourists and locals alike! Photo is a Stetson 6X from GHC.
Bought a custom 10X Stetson. Yes it was custom cut and shaped. I expected a bit more than what I got. I got a nice hat. Don't mistake that. I expected more of a fancy ordeal filled with trying many hats or selecting custom hat bands, etc. Instead I got a great custom shaped/trimmed hat that I really like. It didn't take long at all and these guys make it look easy. I wanted to do it once in my life.......CHECK!
We had an amazing experience at Paris Hatters! Isaac was super knowledgeable and friendly and took the time to help me figure out which hat was the perfect fit for me. I'm somewhat tardy in posting this but a couple of months ago while visiting from Maryland I had an abused Stetson hat serviced here. The hat had been sitting around in a closet for about 22 years. It was pushed out of shape, dirty and the inside head band was brittle and mostly missing. The person I dealt with was very friendly and most helpful. As a black American I felt very comfortable and welcomed. Then again, I don't look for negativity, so it usually doesn't surface around me.
