Not happy with what is going on with your billing dept and submitting payment. I have been trying to make a payment thru your faulty payment system. It has tied up some of my time so much that I decided to write a review. I’m not happy at all about this, and on top of it I’m an electrician!
This people keep racing the electric bill,is ridiculous, way too much, I can't afford $ 300 a month.
PECO provides the worse customer care experience. 1st time I called to dispute an invoice, the customer care representative had no clue what they were doing. I expressed my concern which led to her reading me a script of possible reasons my bill was high. That had nothing to do with my concern that I’m possibly paying someone else’s electric. The call was so horrendous, I had to speak to a supervisor. It took me 2 hours to get my concern addressed. Then, I contacted the office today, since my area of concern has not been addressed yet. I waited on hold 2 hours, a representative takes my information, places me on hold, then comes back to tell me there systems are down and they cannot help. I almost passed out with disbelief. I understand systems can be down, but turn your ques off and inform your customers of this. How do you allow customers to hold 2 hours then tell them to call back tomorrow. Horrible customer service with no common sense.
Horrible horrible horrible company. The most unethical company I’ve ever seen. Insane that my 1 bedroom apartment’s bill doubled in the span of a month when nothing has been done any different. Disgusting.
Every time I try to go pay a bill the app doesn’t work the online source doesn’t work and the phone system sucks .
Awful customer service. There was an issue with bank payment ON THEIR END and they blamed me and took away my ability to automatically pay my bill with my bank. Now I’m charged extra and have to go out of my way to pay with my credit card each month. Customer service was no help, I tried multiple times. Avoid if possible.
The PECO customer portal provides no real-time updates on restoration status, and their automated messages create false confidence by marking requests as “complete” when nothing has actually been done. The lack of transparency and urgency is appalling, especially for something as essential as electricity. To make matters worse, customer service has been completely unhelpful. Each time I call, I receive vague responses, get passed around, and never receive a clear timeline or solution. There’s no sense of urgency to address the issue, and no proactive communication from their end, I’ve had to chase every update myself. Meanwhile, PECO’s rates have become outrageously expensive, making this level of service even harder to justify. For what customers are being charged, we should be able to expect timely restoration and accurate communication. PECO needs to overhaul its restoration process, improve the transparency of its portal, and train customer service to provide actual solutions — not empty reassurances. For the prices they charge, this level of service is inexcusable.
Horrible company with a monopoly on energy. Its freezing and my friend cannot even use heat or electricity. Technician was scheduled to come today, but upon calling the company to confirm - apparently its in their system for tomorrow. No accountability. No emergency response.
Absolutely horrible experience dealing with PECO. A power surge caused by them damaged a number of items in our home, and you can’t get through to the claims department to ask any questions. I’ve left numerous messages and haven’t received a single call back. It seems like they answer to no one. I get they might be short-staffed like everyone else, but having zero communication after several voicemails is unacceptable. I’ve paid my bill on time every month for years, and this is the kind of service I get? Good luck to anyone trying to get help… you’re going to need it.
I'm extremely disappointed with the level of service provided by this power company. Response times are painfully slow, and communication is almost nonexistent. Outages take far too long to resolve, and there's little to no transparency or accountability. It's frustrating to deal with such inefficiency, especially when reliable electricity is a basic necessity. This company seriously needs to improve its customer service and operational efficiency.
