Absolutely terrible service. Agents intentionally hang up on customers to get them off the phones. This has happened twice in the last couple weeks.
The lights work, so that's cool. The byzantine billing process seems almost designed to wring extra charges and late fees out of the technologically inept and the working populace who doesn't have time to sort through a nigh-endless stream of error messages and (in)conveniently malfunctioning webpages. And hey, nice new logo, I guess.
The all time worst, most unethical and greediest electric utility company of the globe. Such a disgraceful organization that holds its customers hostage to predatory energy costs!!!!!
Id do a negative star if I could. My husband and I just moved and got peco switched into our name for the first time, We've been without electric for 3 days and no one has given us even a time frame... I'm just wondering what makes them think we would want to continue service whilst being treated like this. No one should have to live like that. I'm disappointed.
Horrible company, I have been waiting to talk to an agent for the past hour. They overcharged me on my electric bill and on top of that did not send me my bill for months and now are stacking 3 bills each month to make up for it. Completely unprofessional and unorganized service.
Had low voltage on one of my mains due to a bad splice at the drip loop. Guy was out next-day and was super helpful and friendly, got me hooked up with a new splice right away.
Grossly incompetent and caught with their pants down with storms last week!! Extremely unprepared- shame on the leadership team!!! The lineman are terrific and do a great job, shame they work for bad inept leaders. People still out almost a full week leader in a major 100 degree heatwave…disgraceful!
1 Star, because I cannot choose ZERO. Lost power on Sunday 2/15, due to high winds causing a tree to fall on the wires on the road on which we live. Asplundh removed the tree and PECO crews responded. First they worked at the place where the tree had fallen; eventually they moved to a location across from my driveway and worked for about an hour. Subsequently I received notification that the Outage had been resolved; all of my neighbors had power, but I still did not. I reported the outage again and it said that I was the only one impacted. Spent 1 1/2 hours on hold Tuesday and opened an “Emergency Ticket”; when I arrived home I had a message saying that the Outage had been resolved. Again I still did not have power; the meter was blank, obviously indicating that there was no power in. How does a ticket get closed when the meter on the impacted address is blank??? Seems like troubleshooting 101 to me. I doubt that they even came out to my house. So I spent another hour on hold Tuesday evening and opened yet another emergency ticket. Finally my power was restored Wednesday afternoon. This type of service would never make it in a competitive market. PECO is a monopoly and they know we have no alternatives. We could change suppliers, but PECO still owns the equipment and we would be even further down the priority list. Terrible customer service. Wish I lived where PP&L was the power supplier. PECO is crap!!!
PECO is the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. They love to send numerous bills at once and also bills for other apartments you’re not currently living at. They need to be shut down for how horrible they are. Thousands of complaints from people and theyre somehow still allowed to operate. It’s disgusting what the company does
Be aware Peco bills you not every 30 days. They bill you when they want. Some are 20 days leaving you to pay 2 bills on your own pay cycle. I called in they can't fix it. Oh and you are not allowed to choose your pay date. No flexibility whatsoever. How is that helpful? Jan 2025
