The staff at the keg counter were great. They were able to help me troubleshoot the issue I had with my kegerator saving me a bunch of momey. I will definately be getting all my supplies here from now on.
Friendly, knowledgeable and well stocked. All good qualities if you are a newbie. Ended up with a brown ale kit. Very good experience and think I will do a class here

I ferment. Barley, grapes, veggies. The staff at steinbarts is willing to help, they know their stuff, and have it too. I always really enjoy my visits here. Jeremy Frey is always super helpful and a great resource. He is always interested in your current project.
I've been a customer of FH Steinbart's for years, and greatly benefitted from all the staff's expertise as I've moved from brewing beer through cider, kombucha & cheese making and now into distilling. They've been there for me as I learn the whole way. They're a Portland treasure on par with Powell's Books, and am really pulling for them (by shopping with them) to get through this. Please do the same!
As a newbie, to an experienced brewer, I've relied on Steinbarts to offer a mentors guidance and they've never disappointed. Show up in a quiet hour and ask to be taught about the grain room, you'll never feel awkward again. The draft side of the business, when you're ready to start kegging, will also be ready to take care of you. If you're looking to take your first steps into brewing, there's nowhere better.
I don't know a lot about Home Brewing but I know enough to ask the right questions. Unfortunately, each time I've been here their employees seem to have very little patience. It's a good place to get your supplies, but the service is non-comforting.

I used to shop at Steinbart's in the 1990s when I lived in Portland. I now order on-line from eastern Washington. The service is amazing and the selection is excellent. Thanks again to the entire crew at Steinbart's!
Local Home Brewery supply. While I'm not a brewer they do have some of the components that I was looking for to Hack my Soda Stream. They have been attentive and very helpful in finding what I needed... And did I say Local, wanting to support our local small businesses as much as possible.
