Rented Kegerators several times from this place before with no problems. I tired to rent for Sunday 7/3, with a drop-off of 7/4. I figured if the system let me then they must be open. I got a call a few minutes after the order saying "we are closed 7/4 and 7/5" Ok, totally understand. The frustrating part is that they then told me that they would be charging me the rental fee for 7/4 and 7/5, despite being closed and my previous acknowledgement that I would be happy to return the unit on 7/4. So the rental went from $150 to $350. I asked if we could work out a different agreement and was met with "No absolutely not" I get that the holiday closures throws some sticky logistics in the mix. But you turned away a customer willing to pay $150 for a day rental, because you wanted to charge for additional rental days, even though they are days that you are closed? Disappointing experience and will look elsewhere for rentals in the future.

FH Steinbart has been my go to for all brewing ingredients for 10 years now in Portland. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They also offer local delivery if you don’t want to leave your house.
I love this place. I had a mishap with a purchase and they fixed it for me right away. The staff could not be sweeter or more helpful. Will absolutely be coming back for all my c02, fermenting & seltzer needs!
Great place, everything you need if you're a beginner or a master brewer to make your own hooch. People know their business, if typically a little on the understaffed side. Have a little patience, and you'll be rewarded with expertise.
I went there for the soda flavorings to mix in with my CO2 machine, they're the only place in town or even online that sells unsweetened naturally made flavors. It lets me use my own sweeteners and control the intensity. I was pleasantly surprised by their liquor flavorings, wines, hops, and grains selection. The people I spoke to and overheard speaking were very nice and if they didn't know something they didn't pretend to which I appreciate more than BSing you're way into a sale.

I am truly grateful for the genuine care & customer service that I received from Rob. I ordered a 1986 beer mirror & the carrier handled it brutally. It was destroyed. I reached out to Rob with photos & he sincerely apologized. Luckily my order was 1 of 2 in stock. Without hesitation, he shipped out the second one, packed extreeemely well & I'm just so happy to have received it today in perfect condition. This world needs more Robs!
All the guys in here are super nice and knowledgeable. They are very patient and listened to my stories about my dad and his fruit garden and they even helped get me started with a recipe that that had to photo copy out of a book for me to make wine for the first time. I felt like i couldnt fail and now i have the best pear and persimmon wines money could'nt buy. Cheers!
