Great QFC! Plenty of parking, great selection of produce, bakery goods, fresh meat/seafood; & organic/vegan options available! Beautiful flowers/plants, as well as cards & gifts~{esp during specific holidays}~🎁; It can be a little sketchy parking here at night so just make sure you park close to the store if you have to make a late night run to the store. Kind, helpful employees! They also have a nice selection of skincare products for a grocery store!
Yesterday, I bought an 8" cake at the Broadway QFC after being assured it had no filling, but it was actually stuffed with strawberry. To make matters worse, the cake was completely stale. Total waste of $25—it went straight into the trash.
Overall well stocked grocery store with very convenient parking despite it's location. My biggest complaint is that there can be some loitering outside the front of the store that can be a little uncomfortable to go past at times and the lack of staff available to assist with finding items. However, the security on site have always been very kind and helpful and employees are always happy to help even if they have to finish with another task first.
Crazy cool. Weekend nights it's hopping let me know what you're going to see and they got food too friendly's security. Peace
I recently purchased a gift card *at this store* to utilize while experiencing issues with my card. This store then refused to let me use that same gift card to purchase groceries *at their store* after it had been fully activated for a week, and utilized at the broadway market location 2 days prior. They said they couldn’t override their system that was requiring a pin on a gift card whose issuer does not allow a pin to be set. They would not run the gift card as credit. They had no problem taking the original payment or selling the gift card. Refusing to honor a basic Amex gift card sold in your store is absolutely ridiculous. Purchase gift cards with caution!
I just moved from belltown to Capital Hill and have only been here once. I'm a personal chef and ran out of broccolini for a client. I got on my electric unicycle and came to this location. It was 10:30pm and the produce section had absolutely nothing but empty shelves. I went to leave and the security guard asked me for a receipt ( I had no bags or nothing in my hands), I told him I didn't buy anything and he asked me for a receipt again so I ignored him. The security guard then yell at me as I'm leaving, then run in front of me and tells me I'm banned from the store for bad behavior as he's taking my picture. All I could do was laugh at how ridiculous this security guard and the condition of this store was. Needless to say regardless of this "bann" I was never returning. However I did discover "Amazon now" and got my broccolini at a far better price and delivered in 15 minutes. I'm glad this store was terrible enough for me to immediately look for a better option. Thanks for the worst in-store experience I have ever had!!!
Love this store, my go to place for grocery. I love the fresh fish and meat section as well, everything is reasonable and fresh. The fresh produce section is also great with all variety of veggies from regular to a few common Asian ones. And I love the bakery section and seasonal items as well. Overall a great store!
For your own safety, keep the receipt. I scanned my item, I put it in the bagging area, I pay for my scanned items, and they yell at and chase me and try to detain me and block my exit! They didn't even apologize for physically harassing me and yelling at me for... lawfully purchasing groceries! I bought grapes and a small fruit. I scan the grapes. I put them in the bagging area. I scan the fruit. I put it in the convenient grapes bag, since it has handles. Somehow, scanning items and putting them in a bag in the bagging area *sets off* this store staff, and they want to make it my problem. The concept of "bagging groceries" seems to be beyond this store, which is unfortunate since they also don't want you to bring your own bags in. From other reviews here there seems to be a pattern of baselessly accusing people of stealing, and then detaining, yelling, harassing, and embarrassing them for the store's own error without apology. I try to avoid this place at all costs. If I'm going to overpay for food, i'll at least get better produce at PCC and they'll let me buy it without yelling at and trying to detain me for following their own checkout instructions.
The attached photo is what I bought, (East Coast coffee, don't shame me for it; it was on sale). Always great products when I purchase there. Once, I even got a reduced price brand name bottle of whiskey. Sometimes at this location they have a dance party right outside the front doors, people swaying, bouncing and twitching to the beat, even when there's no music playing.
Great variety, plenty of very friendly helpful staff especially in the self checkout line . Full meat and seafood and deli cheese counters. Local bakery bread. I lowered my rating bc this week I had to go to great lengths to get discounts advertised that did not show up in the register. The self checkout person could not find evidence so I had to go back and take a picture of the advertised price. I would have been cheated out of almost $5 on two items if I had not caught the difference There is a store security guard at door and they have managed to eliminate most of the pan handlers outside.
