I'm not sure if I like this place. Some of the prices are awesome. They have pretty much everything a person needs to run a restaurant. It is just the people who shop here seem to be ruder than other places I shop. The carts are designed to carry cases of things so they are huge. People will literally kick your cart out of the way claiming to be in a hurry. I don't get being in a hurry when you could leave 5 or 10 minutes early. Also people don't return the carts for whatever reason is they are scattered across the parking lot and could seriously dent one's car. Bottom line: Good deals could be had with a business license if you are willing to put up with some BS too.
I have been coming here for years and the customer service is TERRIBLE and it seems like it's getting worse over time. The employees are extremely rude when you try to ask them for help like finding something or getting something down. They pretend they are too busy and I have waited 45 minutes before just so someone could help me with cleaning supplies. I even had someone say they couldn't help me because they couldn't speak English but I see them actively helping another lady afterward. The management needs to train the employees better on basic customer service manners. Lastly, they never have enough of certain items every single week I shop there.
Great experience today. A very nice gentleman helped me with items that were not stocked in the freezer section. He went in the back and found the items I wanted to purchase. So, SHOUT OUT TO WAYNE, thank u for taking the time for me .
The worst place in the world, disgusting, no hygiene at all. The store is a mess and dangerous. The workers drive forklifts at high speed, almost hitting people.
I have been going to restaurant Depot for quite a few years now. I can tell you right now that Customer Service is one thing they do not care about. They are extremely rude. You may go there one day and find the product that you use on their shelves, but go back and they won’t have it for months when you ask management you get nothing but excuses. I am sick and tired of this place I cannot wait for the GFS store to open on beach Boulevard.
Pay huge attention to prices when at checkout. There is big difference when you get to pay between shelve price and check out. Lava cake was listed for $15.99 and paid $19.34, olive oil was listed for 12.99 and paid 15.77, regular oil had 1 extra buck added. Check your receipt carefully. Not to mention prices do not worth it anymore here. These are just another hungry cheaters in these inflation days. What you give, you will get and one day you'll have no customers left.
This place has good prices and good selection for restaurants. The problem with this business is the management of this establishment is horrible. The isles are very crowded. There are products everywhere to the point having little room to get through some places. The lines are horrible. They never have enough cashiers. Sometimes it’s extremely crazy. The last time I went the manager kept skipping me and ringing out other people because they had bigger orders and wanted to cater to larger orders. I waited 30 minutes and was skipped over 2 times. If it’s not busy it’s fine. I really wished this store wasn’t a huge headache every time I go there. So many issues need to be fixed at this place.
Be Ready to face Racial/Gender Discrimination There should be an option to provide negative rating. I never wrote any reviews on the internet but this situation forced me to do that. We were at the store yesterday and the customer service was abominable. It was literally a racial/gender discrimination. I have filled all the details through online and I got a confirmation email from the corporate email ID. I went to store to collect the membership card as per the direction from the email. The email is vivid that I have to provide additional paperwork only if I apply for tax exemption. The email had the barcode and a membership ID on it. When we visited the store, I went to the front desk. There was an Afro-American man at the desk and he didn’t even say any greetings. I went to him and explained the situation but he asked me for the paperwork apart from ID. I showed him the email but he completely neglected what was mentioned in the email. I was very polite and I started searching for the paperwork in my Inbox. In the meantime, my wife asked him a question about the paper work and his response was “I don’t want to talk to you”. I was shocked by those words. My wife started crying and left the place. How dare a representative can use such words against a customer? We even never argued anything with him. Such a racial/gender discrimination against brown people. We have been living in this wonderful nation for more than a decade and never faced such a discrimination. I immediately asked his name and he told he cannot reveal that. He didn’t even wear an ID tag. I told him to call his manager. He said that the manager is off on that day. His voice was very arrogant and teasing. I just told “Don’t be Rude” and left the place. He responded “You get out”. Who gave him the rights to ask me to get out of the store? I found the manager in the store in few minutes and explained him the situation. He told he will talk to him and he convinced us. However, our mood was completely spoiled and we left the place with more pain. He ruined our whole day. We figured out that his name is “Jonathan”. I didn’t expect any greater service but there should be a humanity in treating your customers. I am unsure whether any management team is reading this comment. I don’t need any sympathy or compliments but I need justice. I can tolerate worst customer service but not a discrimination like this. I have gone through several reviews below and there have been worst ratings for the customer service. I am really not sure why there is no action taken till now?
I wish google let us give zero stars, cuz this dump certainly deserves it. First, i’m standing in aisle one waiting for someone to come and help us after we asked for it. I asked three times; fifteen minutes pass by and no help was there. So we asked a random employee passing by for help and the attitude he showed us was astounding. They’re missing a lot of things and then don’t even acknowledge it. Fast forward, the cashier of course messed up in scanning our items and accidentally scanned something twice. She rudely told us to go to the person who was in charge of checking receipts and refunds. And the receipt lady was let’s say…a total waste of oxygen and water. It was some black lady, i didn’t catch her name but the only reason i’m mentioning this is because someone else complained about a black lady in their review as well, it’s possible it could’ve been the same person. Most likely is the same person because this lady is a total nutjob. Anyway we go to her and she’s rude right away. She told us to go to the main counter for assistance. I commented on the lack of customer service, and she rudely dismissed us. Just to make sure we were going where we were supposed to go, I asked her again, and she completely disregarded us. The guy at the main counter was of course no better. That receipt lady came back and harshly told us to go back in the line cuz apparently the cashier forgot to scan something entirely. I mentioned that she could be a little nice about it and she absolutely lost it. She went on about how she’d be nice to us if we showed her respect, EVEN THO SHE STARTED IT. For no reason should an employee talk to a customer that way. Out of everywhere I’ve went, this place hands down has the worst customer service ever. And to the receipt lady who clearly has some problem, please find some cheap and easy job at Mcdonald’s or something so u don’t bother other restaurant owners. p.s: we still haven’t got our refund yet even though they said we did
Today I paid with a 100 dollar bill and they took $10 from me. They told me that they would check after the shift was over. They told me that they would call me because they had costumers on the line. I told them that they have to check the surveillance video. Im still waiting for a call after the store has already closed. The lawyer told me to file a police report. Just like they took $10, they could have easily taken $30+. After reading the reviews, I find out that they also took $10 from somebody else.
