High prices for thrifting, unless you get the colored price tags with the 75% off sale. Lots of options

Why take out the cashier's register just to put in "assistant checkout"? It's STUPID! I still have to wait in a long line for the "assistant checkout person" to check my belongings out. They get upset if you try to tell them you have separate things for another person. They just grab and check stuff out. Really not worth going to anymore

TERRRRIBLE service!! I arrived at 7:50pm on a Saturday 4/12/25 to look for a blender and the management and security locked the doors and refused to let me in! I knocked on the door and asked if we could go in for a blender quickly and he said “we’re closed” I said it isn’t even 8. You don’t close for another 10 minutes. He said “I have no control over this we’re closed and you can’t come in. Sorry”. Then proceeded to close the door in my face.

They have a decent selection of clothes, however they don't have any fitting rooms & all sales are final. If you are a person that needs to try before you buy, I suggest you wear some leggings or athletic shorts to save yourself some hassle.

I always find great things here, a little over priced for thrift, but good items. That being said, I'm a little annoyed at the new "self checkouts." It was the first time shopping here since they've been put in. When we finished shopping we approached the "self checkout" area to find no line and one lane open. We proceeded to the lane only to get yelled at for not waiting in line!? I'm like what line? Come to find out you have to wait for an associate to ring you up at the "self checkout" and all the associates were busy. When she comes over I question what we did wrong as there was no line, she explains "we ring it up and you bag and pay." Ummm what? Can I ask why put in a self checkout system only to not actually allow self checkout? You could have easily just make a self bagging station next to a cash register with that mentality. These "self checkouts" save no one any time when they still have to wait for an attendant.

overpriced for what you're getting , not to mention the workers are EXTREMELY rude. maybe one or two that had common decency and looked me in the eyes at most. all of the ladys stalking shelves have no regard for your presence at all. one even snagging my shirt with a hanger , still not looking me in the eyes or saying anything , undid it and walked off witrhout a word , workers bumped into me 4 different times (yes i kept track) and each time it was no eye contact or sorry at all - won't be returning.

Holy crap has this place gone downhill. The employees are SO rude. It’s a disorganized mess. This is a thrift store. There should not be $36 toasters and shirts that cost $19. This place once was amazing and I loved the layout. They’ve changed everything and the new check out system is a JOKE. Absolutely would never recommend to anyone again.

A bit small and crowded, and no fitting rooms; there's no exchange period so if you spend money on clothes that don't fit you're SOL. The clothes and shoes aren't organized by size; but at least the racks and shelves are stocked unlike other locations of the franchise. It was worth the drive.

The assisted check outs make no sense - either you're full self checkout or you're not. So now you have 8 registers, and only 3-4 open because there's too many people for the staff to handle up there.... so what was the point. Even with all of them open, it's too crowded up there. I'm suffocated while bagging my stuff and pressed up against someone else's shopping cart and a staff member. Or people's kids are in the way of the bags on my register. Not anyone's fault, there's just NO space to work with. Staff members scan things and then just walk away or are in my way while I bag my things. Like MOVE or HELP me bag????? I don't know. Or if they do just walk away after they scan my things... like what was the point? I could have done that myself. If someone wants to steal, they're stealing before they even come up to the register. But honestly, this is not on the staff in store. I know this is all instructions from upper management. I never had a problem with staff before the company got bought out. I've been annoyed at all this for weeks now. I was waiting for a really busy 50% off sale to really judge the efficiency of the new registers and layout of the store... I was not impressed. And I understand this is a business and not all decisions will please everyone, but I'm actually really sad to see this from Texas Thrift. I've loved Texas Thrift for about 10 years, from Austin to DFW. I'm sad to feel the decline in customer experience.
