I can’t imagine not having someone like Sophie caring for me. She made my first week after surgery such a pleasant experience. Her hospitality, her gourmet chef meals, her picking me up and dropping me off at appointments, and her knowledge on how to properly care for my wounds were excellent. And as if that wasn’t enough, she showers her patients with gifts. I am definitely calling Zen Recovery Surgical Aftercare when I have to come back in three months.,

After a couple of days of complications in the hospital, Sophie has been taking great care of me! She was accommodating with the discharge of the hospital, and has made sure that I have the right nutrients to heal. I never ate the same meal, not once. She’s also making sure I get in my necessary water intake even thought it’s a struggle for me, had me up walking through out the day. Sophie takes her job seriously a true professional through and through. I would definitely recommended staying with Sophie and the team at Zen Recovery.

When looking for postoperative care, look no further. Zen recovery was simply amazing from the gourmet, meals, accommodations, and attention to post surgical care needs. As an out-of-town guest and as a medical professional, Sophie made sure that I was comfortable, wound care was done impeccably and that all my needs were properly being met. Gourmet meals, daily walks, and even a trip to the nail salon were just a few things that she provided during my stay. Sophie’s attention to detail is far none. Don’t think about it just book it!!

I live in Houston, but as a single mom I wanted to book full-service surgery aftercare to ensure I could heal as quickly as possible. I had a short timeline of three weeks to pick a provider before my surgery date, and during that time, scheduled many inquiry phone calls with every recommended provider on my surgeon's list. From my first phone call with Sophie, I knew Zen Recovery was the place for me. Sophie approached every interaction with gentle kindness and a wealth of information, and not once tried to upsell me on extra services or additional days. In fact, I went into our conversation thinking I only wanted to book 3 days and ended up with a whole week! Sophie checked in with me pre-surgery when I was having doubts, and ensured a smooth transition to the recovery home post surgery. I'm a VERY private person and maybe a little stubborn with accepting help, but Sophie respected that while still being there at the push of a call button. Sophie's food was incredible and she always discussed my likes/dislikes prior to preparing each balanced meal. Sophie was also great with entertainment, always ready to watch a movie with me, craft with me, bake cookies, or even go on small field trips. We even got pedicures one day when my mobility allowed for it! I definitely feel like I healed quicker due to Sophie's care and I would gladly book Zen Recovery again should I need the assistance again in the future.

Zen Recovery has been amazing - I’m so happy I chose this option for aftercare. Coming out of surgery I felt vulnerable and a little unsure of how I would manage things. Sophie has created a very nurturing, calm and beautiful environment that promotes healing in the best of ways. Her encouragement in moving safely (even when it hurts!) has helped my recovery so much! In two days I was getting myself in and out of bed and doing little walks around the apartment feeling confident for when I get home. And her food!
