I need to give credit to the person who deserves it, my husband. Let me start from the beginning from the very first phone call. My husband helped me google for surgical recovery home. He came across Zen Recovery-Surgical Aftercare. He read the reviews, he looked at the photos. We clicked on the website and I filled out the questionnaire. We both called Zen Recovery-Surgical Aftercare and Sophie answered our phone call. Sophie answered all my husband's questions, I believe we were on the phone for an hour or more with Sophie. I am an out-of-country patient all the way from Berlin and I was having a surgical procedure in three days. My first night in Texas I kept thinking about my procedure. I was so nervous, I kept waking up at night. The second night I messaged Sophie at Zen recovery and she called me. Sophie was on the phone with me, we talked and talked. She made me feel so calm, she gave me the assurance that everything was going to be fine. That I had picked the best doctor and the best surgical aftercare. I believed her and she made me feel so confident. I had someone looking after me when my family was far away. I stayed at Zen Recovery-Surgical Aftercare for over ten days. My husband and I wanted all the care available. I had made up my mind that I was going to follow my doctor's aftercare and Zen’s aftercare instructions. My recovery was smooth. I was very comfortable. I felt safe, my wounds were addressed and taken care of my drains with emptied. Overall, I didn’t have to lift a finger. My recovery has been very smooth. No pain, no discomfort majority of the night I slept in the cozy leather recliner. I drank tons of water having the right meals and company Mentally the recovery was smooth. The food was excellent and the entertainment was beyond. Sophie showed me how to make jewelry. I made the most beautiful bracelets. I leave Zen Recovery-Surgical aftercare today. I will definitely recommend them to any person wanting to recover from any surgical procedure.

I stayed five nights here after surgery, and I truly felt cared for and protected. The home was spotless, peaceful, and had beautiful views that made healing easier. The assistants were so kind, and the owner was simply amazing. For the first three nights, when I was most vulnerable ; they monitored me 24/7, which made me feel completely safe I’m so grateful for the love and care I received here. It meant everything during such a delicate time.

If I could give it an higher rating I would! Out of town or local if you are looking for a recovery home post-op look no further. Not only does Zen Recovery come with various surgeon recommendations but it is hands down the best. I am beyond grateful for the care I have been receiving and know that this is the BEST decision I could have made for my post-op care. Sophie and her staff are very knowledgeable and reassuring through every step of recovery. I cannot stress enough how well taken care you are at Zen Recovery. The gourmet meals are geared to help you recover while being delicious! Everything is impeccably clean and sanitized with close attention to the smallest detail. There is so much peace and tranquility throughout the home and you’re able to just truly relax and recover. Please note that this is coming from a full lower body lift, lipo 360, bbl & arm lift recovery that was made enjoyable thanks to Zen Recovery, I am forever indebted for the best care I could’ve received! Don’t think twice and book with time because it’s a gem that fills up fast!

Sophie made me feel comfortable and completely taken care of. Her professionalism, knowledge, and genuine care set the tone for the entire visit. Zen Recovery and the owner Sophie are INCREDIBLE! If you’re looking for a post surgical recovery place, this is it! From the excellent meals prepared; to the comfortable and inviting surroundings - nothing was spared! I’m a healthcare executive nurse with doctorate in nursing practice & I can assure you I watched everything! She had the sterile supplies needed, ensured my meds were taken; I was walking frequently and was truly a one-stop-shop. My lymphatic massage came to me, as well as an IV energy infusion. She only works with the best! I can’t say how awesome this experience was and I’d give her more stars if available. Stop your search - Zen is it!

I can’t say enough good things about Sophie and Zen Recovery! I traveled from out of state to have plastic surgery(several surgeries at once) and I really was not sure what I was going to do for my aftercare being in a strange city and not knowing anyone. I was so grateful when my doctor recommended Sophie and Zen. Sophie made a scary and nerve wracking experience so much easier from her constant support and care. She is a phenomenal cook and all meals and snacks were made fresh daily so I had proper nutrition. She also made sure I had all of my post surgery massages scheduled and drove me to my doctors appts and anywhere else I wanted to go in the city just so I could get out and get some fresh air. I truly do not think my recovery would have gone as well as it did had I not chosen to recover at Zen Recovery. I would recommend them to anyone and will gladly stay here again if I have any additional surgeries in Houston.

I would highly recommend Zen Recovery for anyone who needs post surgical aftercare. Sophie was heaven sent, and very attentive to all my needs after my mommy makeover. From taking me to my doctors appointments, massage appointments, and cooking meals 3 times a day. I was able to focus on my recovery with no worries. Thank you Sophie.

I decided to travel to have my surgery, and I was unable to have anyone join me for after care. I was so nervous to do it alone, but Sophie made it seamless. I stayed with her 11 nights so I could recover as much as possible before going home to my 4 children. The king suite was beautiful, seeing the Houston downtown skyline from my room was amazing. She had a power lift chair which was a godsend. And the bed made it easier to sleep postop. She made absolutely amazing meals and made sure my every need was tended to. She took me to my post op appointment and got me to the airport on time. And on a day I was feeling good, she took me to get my nails done and a drive around downtown. She taught me how to make bracelets too! She became a friend over the course of the stay. I couldn’t have imagined healing from my surgery any other way. Thank you!!!
