Zen Recovery is next level surgical recovery care— I am a very picky person, especially when it comes to my health, and I did extensive research to find Zen Recovery. I am so happy I did because Sophie is incredible. She has been by my side, cooking me amazing meals, making me comfy, helping me with meds, taking me on lovely walks to get my steps in, and so much more. Beyond that the space is incredible!! Beautiful penthouse with large windows for plenty of light and my bed felt like sleeping on a cloud (it’s adjustable too!). I also enjoyed the heated massage chair and sipped on my ice water while watching my favorite movies in bed before dozing off to sleep. If you don’t go to Zen, you’re not doing it right!

I had an amazing experience at Zen Recovery and can’t recommend it enough. I stayed there in 2024 and returned again recently, and both times the care was exceptional. She truly provides 24-hour care. No matter the time, whether it was 3 PM or 3 AM, she was available within seconds. She’s extremely knowledgeable about postop care and always shared helpful tips to support proper healing. As a physician myself, I really appreciated her expertise and attention to detail. The meals were delicious, healthy, and clearly made to help with recovery. She also took me to my postop appointments, which made the entire process so much easier during a time that can be physically and emotionally challenging. She is kind, compassionate, and genuinely supportive. On my second stay, I received the same high level of care as the first, which says a lot. The recovery home itself is beautiful, located in a high-rise with an amazing view of the Houston skyline. It’s elegant, peaceful, and very relaxing. I loved drinking tea and watching the skyline, it truly added to the healing experience. I honestly believe my recovery wouldn’t have gone as well if I hadn’t stayed at Zen Recovery. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone needing postop care and would stay there again myself if needed.

The space is immaculate, inviting and quiet with beautiful city views, the gourmet meals are absolutely delicious and prepared with so much detail, and the round-the-clock care is unmatched! Sophie is an absolute angel, so professional and caring. She makes sure you are comfortable, helps with wound care, and makes sure that the appropriate medications are taken at the correct times. This is without a doubt the only place to stay when considering post operative care! You will not be disappointed!

They handled all of my rides to follow-up appointments with punctuality and care, which took a huge burden off my shoulders. Not having to worry about logistics allowed me to fully focus on resting and recovering. Zen Recovery is the best!

Her professionalism along with her personal touch and attentiveness was second to none. She's awesome. The home itself is immaculate. I have had the luxury of staying at Zen recovery for the past 8 nights post surgery. My experience has been nothing but amazing! Sophie and Taylor and staff have done an excellent job at ensuring that I was taken care of and comfortable during my stay. Not only have I felt at home during my stay, I have been taught how to continue my care once I get home. Sophie and her staff takes pride in ensuring I am in a clean environment, her cooking is out of this world, the city skyline is so therapeutic and I have had access to iv therapy and lymphatic drainage massages during my recovery without having to worry about anything. I truly believe this has been a huge component in my speedy recovery. Sophie and her staff makes you feel like your safe and have a sense of family during an extremely vulnerable time in your life.
