Cosmopolitan Pittsburgh Ross two was not worth the rent. No amenities but a party room which you have to pay if want to use and a small gym. Elevators were always broke. Our unit was filthy. Had to hire our own cleaning crew just to move in. Chips in counter , flooring was stick on so could see all imperfections, mold and soap scum bottom of the shower door in master bathroom , hair clogging the shower drain that was gross , dryer in unit broke took 2 months to get fixed so had to go to a laundry mat , cheap cabinets that were peeling by the stove which was a glass top that had so many scratches because no one really knew how they are to be used. I could go on but I think get the point. We left our unit perfect better than how it was given to us but still they took 110.00 off our deposit. Don’t rent there. Save your money for an apartment is maintained and managed properly. Rent from a company that cares about their tenants . Aion is not that company. They are just about making money
Horribly run company. Customer service is ok but I should not have to call them as much as I do. I applied in April and was denied( my fault not theirs) . They immediately took 2 holding fees and application fees. Totally normal. It’s almost October and they still have not returned my money! I call about once a week (approximately 13-15 calls)and there’s nothing the call center Can do but add notes. I have several notes, I ask for higher ups but they NEVER return my calls and no one has reached out to me. This is beyond ridiculous. If this is how they handle a simple task I’d hate to see them with a really difficult issue. They need to do better.
I wish I could upload pictures because what we experienced was completely unacceptable. Aion Management, specifically Metropointe Apartments, has been one of the worst experiences I’ve seen. We went to sign a lease yesterday, and the unit was not move-in ready at all. It looked like someone had just been evicted and they attempted to lease it immediately without properly preparing the apartment. There were still workers actively inside the unit when my nephew arrived to move in. This was extremely disappointing, especially since he was looking forward to a fresh start. While we were there, multiple residents came into the office with serious maintenance complaints—some who had just moved in and others who have been dealing with issues for a while. That alone says a lot about how this property is being managed. The leasing consultant stated that her “hands were tied,” but her overall attitude reflected a lack of concern. At one point she even said, “they pay my bills,” which showed a complete disregard for residents and their experience. Our issue was not resolved, and the lack of urgency or accountability is unacceptable. Management should be held responsible for leasing units that are clearly not ready and for failing to properly address resident concerns. I expect immediate action and proper service for my nephew and all residents. If this is not addressed promptly, I will be pursuing further action regarding false advertising and unacceptable living conditions.
my apartment was flooded twice in two months after moving in. at the time I was going through a custody battle and had to get a two bedroom to show the court system that I have a place for my son and me. After my apartment was flooded my son and had to stay in the same flooded apartment with huge heaters that were supposed to dry up the place. No accommodation was made for my son and me. I was so afraid that CPS might walk in and take my son away from me, so I moved with frustration. Since my moved I have not been able rent my own apartment because they placed a negative report on my rental history. I have gone to leasing office countless time and all they could tell me was after a year we change management they company does not own the property anymore. I then called corporate and spoke with someone who promised to call me back and never reached out. Numerous voicemails have been made until now 2022 from 2018 no response. I have a very good now and still can't get my own place because of the negative report which I can't resolve without speaking with someone. Am so frustrated with this company especially how bad they never respond to any of my calls to resolve this issue. The contractor they used did such a bad job my got a cut from the terrible carpet installation. They place was also roach infested. Other reported damages that never was fixed
I live in Holly Court---absolute nightmare. It's been over a month and my A/C has not been fixed. I regularly come home to 85F + temperatures after being at work. Four, five maintenance requests now has been "resolved" with some blurb about a "fix" that 1) makes no sense and 2) obviously doesn't address the issue. My last request was randomly cancelled without notice. I have three pets and this is unacceptable in SJ summer heat. Do NOT move in.
If I could give zero stars for lack of communication I would. They made me the entire month of April, even though my move out date was on the 22nd of the month stating that the remaining balance would be return. Well, I’ve been sending emails after emails to the manager and no response, I’ve called several times and no response. My husband has called several times and no response. This is so unprofessional. His initial explanation was insufficient and I explained to him exactly what was missing , since then I haven’t received a single response.. it’s been almost 2 weeks since I emailed. Where is my prorated money…
DO NOT MOVE HERE!!! I REPEAT DO NOT MOVE HERE! IF I could give negative stars I would ! I'm going to break down things they don't tell you AT SIGNING and how they handle them! IF WANT WANT TRAP HOUSE MOVE HERE!! GAS BILL -There's no individual meters it goes by the size of the heating equipment and the size of apartment! OK I GUESS *****I HAVENT HAD HEAT IN MY APARTMENT SINCE 12/25**** & STILL DONT I put in work orders and there's still no heat Front office told me its up to me to tell them if my heat is working or not ok I do its still not fixed. LIKE IS THIS NOT UR PROPERTY DO YOU NOT KNOW WHAT WORKS OR DOESNT DO YOU NOT VERIFY EQUIPMENT YOU KNOW IS BROKEN AND WHEN WILL IT BE FIXED.? I tell them at least twice a month, I have no heat! I called Aion management they dont give a damn they did nothing. *********I WAS CHARGED $260 FOR GAS FOR ONE MONTH AND HAD NOOOOO baseboard HEAT. They said basically the charges going to stay call the gas company. I call the gas company and there the ones who told me about no meters for individual units, and how its divided up NO ONE CAN DETERMINE HOW MUCH IS USED INDIVIDUALLY ! They had their contractors come through my apartment for attic, roof work muddy my floors with their dirty boots, DIRTY MY WALLS, PAUSE, leave equipment in my apartment for days hooked up to the electric I pay. NO CENTRAL AIR! MOVE HERE IF YOU WANT TO SIZZLE LIKE BACON!!! The insulation around the windows or sliding doors is GIVING TRAP HOUSE! PEOPLE NEVER CLEAN UP AFTER THEIR DOGS! I can go on but Ill save that for another post. LAST BUT NOT LEAST ONLY REASON I GAVE A STAR IS BECAUSE I NEEDED IT TO POST IM DISTRAUGHT I HAD TO PUT THAT STAR!!!!!!!!! --****** IM BEGGIN YOU NOT TO MOVE HERE THEY ARE ROBBING US BLIND $1500 FOR A ONE BED -NO CENTRAL AC WITH NOOOOOOO HEAT!!!!!!! & NO ONE TO FIX IT! AND A $260 BILL
Horrible company multiple complaints from the health department to safety and concern. They don’t really care about lawsuits because they just pay them out. Must be a rich owner who doesn’t Care just wants to walk around in his new car and say he owns things. My security deposit hasn’t been refunded in 60 days and I haven’t even rented at this property. Just know people who have who all have gotten out of their lease due to violence not keeping up with codes or maintenance issues.
First, regarding the apartment itself, I was moved into a unit that I was never shown. During my initial tour, I was shown a specific layout and was told that the other available units were much smaller. I clearly stated that I was not interested in a smaller floor plan. However, on move-in day, I discovered that the apartment assigned to me was in fact the smaller layout I had previously declined. At that point, with my move already coordinated and all of my belongings ready, I felt I had no choice but to accept it. Second, the parking situation has been an absolute nightmare. During the application process, I was told that while there was a waitlist for reserved numbered parking spots, the wait was usually short. As a single mother with two young children, having reliable and safe parking was one of the main reasons I chose this community. Yesterday, after driving around for over 30 minutes trying to find parking with my children in the car, I was forced to park in an unauthorized area and received a parking ticket. After repeatedly being told by management, “It’ll be resolved soon,” and “You’ll have your reserved spot next week,” I finally received an email stating that I am actually 12th on the waitlist. What makes this even more frustrating is that management themselves acknowledged the issue. The manager literally asked me, “Did you try parking on the street? Did you see how hard it was?” Exactly — if it’s this difficult, why wasn’t that disclosed honestly before I signed the lease? Prospective tenants deserve to know that getting a reserved parking spot could take a year or more, not be reassured with misleading promises just to secure a lease. The most shocking part is that management admitted they understood the situation was misleading to the point where they even offered to terminate my lease without penalty. Yet when it comes to the financial burden, parking tickets, moving expenses, wasted time, and stress caused by all of this — there has been zero accountability. I’ve already started working with a lawyer regarding this matter, but I genuinely want others to be aware before making the same mistake. Please do your research carefully and be cautious when dealing with this property and management team.
In general, management is lacking in all areas of property management. What prompted me to write this is the move out process or lack there of and return of deposit. No communication or assistance when moving out, just silence. Maybe a move out form with what you need to do would help. I had to call and visit the office a few times to find out what the protocol was, when was somebody going to do the walk-through, how do I get my security deposit back, etc. The worst part and most frustrating part is that my deposit comes back in an email from a third party, $200 short with no explanation, and on a Debit card via Apple Pay that expires in five months. We should be able to choose how we want our money back, I want it back in my account where it came from not on a debit card. This is just the most recent problem, there are more.
