Megan genuinely cares about my health. She is very proactive in encouraging me to make lifestyle changes to improve my health. As a result, all of my blood tests have improved in just a couple of months. Nutrition is an important part of our conversations. I can't say enough great things about the care that I receive. She lingers with me without making me feel like one hand is on the doorknob. Comprehensive and genuine are the words I use to describe her.
Dr. Nassery is one of the best PCPs I’ve had during my lifetime. She takes the time to truly listen and you get the strong sense she cares for her patients. I feel confident we can tackle any health related questions or concerns together. The office functions efficiently and making an appointment within a reasonable amount of time is not an issue.

I did not feel that the counselor fit me and that is OK. I was going to go to a different counselor but now they keep on charging me and I’m not have not seen the counselor since November 20. They said my insurance didn’t cover everything but to my knowledge insurance never covers anything and it was all out of pocket now they’re saying what I paid in the visit was just a deposit and now they just keep on charging me now they’re saying this year. I’m getting charged another deductible even though I have not seen the doctor. Very poor experience every time I call them they never answered the phone. I left so many messages. It seems like a scam and the medical professional do Would not recommend
I’ve been living in Fourth Ward for 20 years and didn’t realize that this place is very close to me. This is a very friendly and authentic group. Relaxed but very professional obviously. Everyone’s in a good mood and seems happy. Dr. Oliver is superb.
Kristen is great. I love her, she seems to genuinely care about the patient and it doesn’t feel robotic! She listens. Everyone I’ve encountered in the office is welcoming.
Took me a long time to get an appointment here. Had a good experience with Dr. Bernard, but she recommended me to an internal psychiatrist who ended up charging me $272 for a telehealth consultation where all she did was tell me I don't have any anxiety. Their billing department is super hard to reach, almost never available. I was able to call my insurance and figure out how to get rid of this charge, I just needed their office to send in the claim with a different code on it. They ghosted me for months with no updates and still haven't taken care of the bill or returned any of my calls. I did just receive an update that they will not be able to reduce this charge since "medical information was also discussed" at my psychiatry visit, so it was billed as a medical and psychiatry visit. I've never been charged any more than my $30 co-pay anywhere else and she didn't provide any care or prescriptions for me, so it's really ridiculous that they classified it as that. Urgent Psych never charged me more than $30 for any telehealth meetings.
Provider, Kristen Oliver, and the team at Ascend are absolutely amazing!!!! Kristen took so much time, care, and thoughtfulness to address every concern I had and made me feel so heard, understood, and comfortable! She has a background in the education field, and it shows~ she is brilliant and explains things in a way that is very informative and helpful! Kristen and her team really went the extra mile to make me feel welcome, safe, and taken care of as a patient- I am so glad I get to receive care from Ascend!
