Ba Bar South Lake Union

Ba Bar is ..alright - the food is decent, nothing to write home about though. It's got that Vietnamese flair, but it doesn't really stand out. The real downside is the service, especially from this one waiter who's always trying to upsell you, and kinda lurks around when it comes to tipping. Can make the whole experience a bit uncomfortable. Still, if you're in the mood for Vietnamese food in South Lake Union, it's worth a shot.

I don’t write reviews very much but I came by earlier today for lunch and it was an excellent experience. There was plenty of folks but my server was very kind and attentive. I was blown away at how delicious my food was to and how it came out in only a few minutes! I will definitely be back!

I absolutely loved the food here- I’ve already visited twice! The vegan options are fantastic, and everything I tried was full of flavor. The service also deserves a special shoutout. On both visits, our server was warm, attentive, and quick to help. Any team member who was around was happy and willing to help instead of making us wait for our server. But I have to be honest, the seating really took away from my experience. The high stools are extremely uncomfortable. I felt like I might tip over at any moment. It got to the point where I just couldn’t enjoy my meal properly. I actually ended up getting a to-go box because I didn’t want to sit there any longer. I’ll definitely be back for the food, but next time I’m requesting regular seating in the back. If you’re planning to dine in, I highly recommend doing the same. Amazing food and service, but the seating seriously needs reconsideration. 🙏🙏🙏 Please replace those uncomfortable high stools and tiny tables.

Inventive cocktails, great flavors and a good deal. I had the lemongrass rockfish which was delicious, subtle and aromatic, came with 3 sides so it really felt like a meal (broken rice, sweet & sour tomato soup and cabbage salad). I was quite full and the dish was so reasonably priced! Also drank a So Be It (fantastic and unique flavor pairings.. a bit like a chrysanthemum but less honeyed, herbier and with more ABV) The main and cocktail paired well as per the nice recommendation from my very friendly server. Will be back!

This place probably focuses more on the bar and vibes, so it feels a little more upscale and as a result slightly pricier. Food was alright though. I got the duck leg confit noodle soup, broth was decently flavorful, duck was crispy on the outside but some parts of the meat was a little dry imo.

Ba Bar is one of my favorite places to eat in SLU. Food is yummy and the service is friendly and helpful. They get really busy during lunch but the staff stays cool and gets it done! Special thank you the manager, Michael. He helped us with our team event dinner and the team and service was fantastic. Highly recommend the back room for any events.

All the dishes we ordered tasted so amazing. The smoked eggplant, and Bo la lot was some that stuck out to me. Full bar and kid friendly. I want to come back and try more dishes!

Stopped here on a whim because I walked past it the other day at lunch and WHAT A FIND! We went out with friends who don’t drink so we all got mocktails off their NA list and they were really great. We loved our drinks. The food was excellent all around we shared a variety of apps and I got the vegetarian vermicelli and it was awesome. The amount of sauce was perfect, the crisped onions, the grilled shiitake’s were excellent. The one thing I could have had less of was lettuce in my dish. Aside from that it was an awesome find. The vibe of the place is super chill, relaxed, and fun. We all commented on how we appreciated the volume of the music and how it wasn’t loud which seems to be a trend these days. It was easy to have a conversation and enjoy our food. Can’t wait to return.

Food: awesome seasoning with people who can eat fish sauce. The only bad dish is the seaweed tofu salad, dont know why it is quite bitter. Service: nice and friendly staffs Cocktail: really good IMO. I definitely come back here next time I come to Seattle.

We always have a great experience at Ba Bar, regardless of the location, and this was no exception. We quickly got a table, and they were super kind to my four-year-old son. The cocktails were fabulous. The imperial rolls are our favorite appetizer. I had a combo vermicelli bowl, and it was delicious. Our server was great, and the restaurant was relaxed and not too loud.
