I stopped by a couple of days ago for a quick breakfast. I ordered my favorite comfort food, a chocolate croissant, and a coffee. Service was a bit slow though the store was not busy. Unfortunately the chocolate croissant was dripping butter, I am not sure how it's even possible to bake a chocolate croissant with so much butter. I can't even say it's overpriced because it's pretty much the same price everywhere. Not so far in the distant future, it'll be cheaper to fly to France and back to get your favorite food.

As someone who isn’t religious, I find reading the Serenity Prayer before entering this restaurant helps me brace for what lies ahead. It amazes me that nearly every visit to this establishment involves a cascade of service failures at almost every point. Here’s a rundown of a typical visit: When you arrive, it’s not uncommon to find a couple of employees casually chatting at the register. They’ll often ignore you as if you’re a rando who just walked up to them at their party. Once they finally acknowledge your presence and begin interacting, there are rare moments when they are genuinely nice and helpful. However, more often than not, they seem to wish you were dead and had never left your house. Prepare yourself for the likelihood that they’ll be out of at least one or two menu items, even early in the day. When you order these items, they’ll act annoyed and point out a sign way down there in the display case that you apparently missed. As your order starts to come out, you might need to wait for the staff to finish their conversation about last night’s events before you can politely request a to-go bag for your multiple boxes. After some more time your drinks will come out. Finally, you'll likely have to wait once again for the employees to finish their story before reminding them about the pastry you ordered. The food is good, but be prepared to roll with the punches, advocate for your order, and endure some some abuse. "SERENITY NOW!"

The food was gross, and I was really disappointed because the price doesn’t match the reality whatsoever The staff were unfriendly and the food was given in little plastic boxes Really disappointed: do not recommend.

This place used to make decent pastries and sandwiches, in addition to the baking mixes and small selection of imported goodies. Over the years I’ve noticed the quality of the pastry slipping - often too dense, too oily, incorrectly baked etc. The service and coffee has always been relatively mediocre, seems like a lot of turn over, mostly very young people with little experience and little investment in the business doing well and no one managing or guiding them. I went in today and ordered a sandwich, order was taken, I sat down to wait and a couple minutes later was told they actually didn’t have what I ordered unless I wanted to wait ‘a while’…? despite it being on the specials board, and my asking if they had it when I ordered. Substituted for a ham baguette instead which they heated without asking because the I asked for the original order to be heated. The “baguette” it is served on is tiny - a mini Demi baguette maybe, it was spongy and soggy. Considering how nice the space is, and the price point, the service and the food are shockingly amateur. I know that this used to be a good bakery but sadly it seems to have been mismanaged. Sad

This place has dropped off hard. Went today, 3 employees with only one working. No greeting, no warmness. Just what can i get you. Friend waited 25 mins for T with nearly empty store. On a slow day the floor was littered with leaves, half tables were dirty. Outdoor patio was in disarray with an overturned trash can near alley and literally nothing had been wiped down, coffee stains everywhere. Their food safety rating is down to merely 'good' now as well. Until they get people trained and caring about their jobs and the store, I wont be back

Cute place, tasty croissant and lovely outdoor seating area. Unfortunately we did not feel welcomed. Even though we wanted to stay and enjoy our coffee and croissant they had stopped serving “for here” at 2:30 because they were “closing soon,” at 4:00 pm. It could have been a very lovely experience if served in mugs and on a plate. Also, our bad for not specifying that we wanted our 12 oz Americanos to be double shots. They tasted like water

Their pastries are good, but their prices for their breakfast sandwiches ($14) that aren’t freshly made is a ridiculous imo. Never order a matcha here, the worst matcha I’ve ever had
