I picked up a car for the weekend early on Saturday and came back on Sunday. Price was reasonable, people were very friendly and the gentleman that checked the car in when I returned it was spot on with customer service. Booking was easy, price was fair and everyone was helpful at the location. I enjoyed a relaxing weekend in Vermont and it started and ended with the staff at this location. Thanks for making my weekend great!
I requested a car with a toddler car seat which I paid for. When getting the keys I asked if the car has the toddler seat they told me everything is ready. I went up to pick up the car from the 7th floor and found no toddler car seat. I went down to the office to get the car seat. The guy came and helped me with the seat but when I left the parking garage I scanned the barcode that was given to me to exit the parking lot but I wasn’t able to exit without paying 20 dollars as I took longer than 15 min due to the unavailability of toddler car seat when receiving the car which was budgets fault. I called customer service and they told me to call the office, the office never answer and I get a generic budget answer which they aren’t able to assist. The expected time to pick up the car was 12 pm in my reservation and I went to pick it up around 11:20 and left the garage around 11:50 which was still before my expected time.
I had to travel 20 minutes away from my hotel for P/U as they booked me in error and wouldn't fix their mistake. Dirty car, 1/4 tank of gas, smelled like weed!
Absolutely terrible place. Avoid at all costs. I had rented a convertible to drive my family to Maine and was very much looking forward to it. However, when we arrived I was told that all the convertibles have been recalled which is completely a lie. To add insult to injury when I was returning the piece junk car that they gave me instead of the convertible mustang I had paid for, I saw the mustang that I paid for being driven around by an employee in the parking garage. Clearly not recalled. It looked like they just wanted to take it for a spin on their own. I was very unhappy and it ruined my vacation. I will never ever ever again rent from budget.
0 stars should be an option. I rented a vehicle for 6 hours and received an email 2 days after returning the vehicle that stated I was being charged for keeping the car for an additional 2 days and drove it 100 miles. How does this happen? Please keep all the paper work when dealing with Budget, you may need it for proof.
So the car we get is parked behind another car. Not just that, but the car isn't even the same type of car we booked. They just gave us whatever they had. Unacceptable service
Terrible experience with this car rental. We had to have it jump-started by AAA two times. Calls and voicemails to the rental office went unanswered and unreturned. Finally, calls to emergency service got a replacement car, but it took over 5 hours of us being stranded. The replacement car was dented and dirty.
The pick up was from a garage around the corner from the office in Boston Atlantic Ave. They didn't tell me we need to go in elevator to 7th floor so I had to come back and ask... The vehicle received had many dings, was only 3/8 full (rather empty) which required us to stop and fill up before our long trip even started. By the way, we returned the car with 3/4 full gas, but will not be credited. We were also appalled by how DIRTY it was inside (found half eaten chips under the driver seat, flakes of sorts in the different compartment and at the back). Also drop off stuff on west 49th street NYC was very unfriendly. I will not use this budget rental company again, and do not recommend.
Car was very dirty inside out and it smelled. Upon return of the car I was treated so poorly by the staff member just by asking what was the protocol we need to follow when returning the car. He raised his voice at me for no reason. I found my self apologize for nothing just to keep him calm. I have rented from Budget before and have never had such a bad experience as this time. Very disappointing. Do not recommend it.
I had the worst experience from this budget rental location. I rented a car for two months, had to get the car jumped started thrice . Had a flat tire for which they charged 130 bucks. 130 bucks for a flat tire!!! If this wasn't enough, while returning they refused to accept the car back in the same budget location where we reported the flat tire. Both the locations refused to coordinate with each other, in the end I had to call both the offices explaining so that they would accept the car return and close my rental agreement.
