Great deal, friendly staff, smooth handoff. We booked a car for $33/day, and figured it would be a clunker, but ended up getting a spotless Mercedes SUV. What an upgrade…
by far the cheapest rental i could find ($100 less then the 2nd cheapest, even with fees) easy pickup and dropoff even after I got there within a minute of close because my train was late, they were still able to help. only extra fee i was charged was one for a toll, which i knew was coming
Update: After this posting they emailed an said to send us some info and they would review. No surprise but we have never heard back. In from Galveston, TX. The car itself was great, Volvo UC90. Not great mileage ~23 MPG, but the ride was awesome. Biggest problem and not resolved by Budget after MANY long phone calls. We asked to pre-pay the tank of gas and were told "all set" but once we were on the road and reviewing the contract, we discovered the agent did not give us the pre-paid tank. Again, many phone calls and time lost on the phone, with no resolution. So, now we have to waste time filling up the tank at Boston Logan. Go figure.
We were in and out in 10minutes, added additional driver. We had rental prepaid online and only needed to pay for additional driver. The girl behind the desk was helpful and we had no problem of finding our car and Mike showed us how to get out. All in all good experience.
Budget rental was great. Process for pick up and drop off was quick and clear. Good service and great cars all around. Would recommend to anyone looking to rent in the Boston area. Way cheaper than renting a car at the airport.
My rental went from $90 to $230. Stay away... I showed up at 8 AM for a Full Size SUV Rental, but recieved a mini van. The car was still still dirty when we arrived so they were still cleaning it and lost 20 minutes towards my arrival to a funeral south of town. Secondly, the car wasn't on a full tank of gas when we recieved the car ubt I returned it full. I then returned the car before the hours of closing at 3:55 of which no one was there working, and then I got billed for extra time? The sign says to write down your ticket time on the parking ticket and drop the keys, but there is no pen or anything to write on, and I left the parking ticket in the locked car before dropping the keys in the lock box. Place is a mess. I shared a photo of the car parked at 4 in the lot, but I haven't reiceved a response. I will update the review as needed.
