This has been an irritating process overall. My collaboration application and documentation required was uploaded and submitted on 9/22/2025. I have sent messages via "Next Request" to the applicable APRN contact with zero feedback. While I cannot log in personally to check application status, my tentative collaborating MD checked (this morning) and it still shows "pending" due to multiple items missing (yet shows files are uploaded). This is grossly traumatic, as I was to start working in November - and will leave me UNEMPLOYED for a month until the next GCMB board meeting?

In 2022 the State Of Georgia Composite Medical Board refused to examine my complaint VS Georgia-based radiologist James R. Zimmerman (see letter & 100 hours of video on my inury at yootoob channel mymedicalnightmare). I was told that because I had the 2021 scan done in Alabama and this was a case of telemedicine, I would have to file my complaint through the Alabama Board Of Medical Examiners and Licensure Commission. Any prospective medical patient interested in the services of this Dr. and practice in Georgia or Alabama needs to be aware of my story. March 10th, 2021 I had an MRI scan done at EXPRESS MRI located off Highway 280, located in The Village at Lee Branch, 250 Doug Baker Blvd Suite 100, Birmingham (Hoover), AL 35242. This is located near the Greystone subdivision. Their service provides 2 main things for $399. First of all you get a Magnetic Resonance (MRI) scan of the body part of your choice. Secondly, a radiologist (James R. Zimmerman MD) reviews your images for injuries and will give you a typed report containing his professional analysis. I requested that my head or skull be scanned (I have bone damage in my skull) but "brain" (not what I requested) appeared on my record cd and in the DICOM metadata tags on the image files. The staff may have changed the body part being scanned after determining the true nature of my injury (see EMTALA / PATIENT DUMPING). My experience of 2 years, repeated visits, is that Hospitals and Doctors will misdiagnose my images, ignoring broken bone that shows up, because of the severity of my injury and the relationship to my ability to self pay or provide insurance. I have been a repeated "patient dumping" victim (EMTALA violation). After obtaining the medical records and images later I was able to determine that I have a broken or fractured skull in the area of the occipital condyle / condylar canal and foramen magnum. Because of repeated misdiagnoses, this wound became infected and infested with parasite worms. I almost died from this in 2019 but have slowly recovered in a limited way and have to regularly try and obtain imagery on this area because of the severity. I thought EXPRESS MRI would be a good place to do this but was wrong. I found EXPRESS MRI operates under a very strict set of parameters and they are not willing to bend much to accommodate the individual needs of customers. MRI technician Matt Warren was the only person I saw or interacted with in the 280 facility during my hour long appointment. I had special needs as per my head injury and requested head and neck support (I had to lay back in this machine for 30 minutes and my neck drooped back below the flat horizontal plane of the rest of my body). Matt Warren told me there was nothing he could offer but produced a few pieces of thin foam which made it impossible to slide a required helmet over. He told me if I couldn't accommodate their procedure they could not do the scan. Upon leaving, I was given a copy of my MRI images on cd-rom. I found the image quality they provided to be low / diluted and possibly edited intentionally to remove image details. Most of the series is in 256x256 pixels. There are 2 scanning series in 512x512 pixels (why did they not give me more or all of the scans in the higher 512x512 resolution?) Their machine is a GE Signa 1.5T scanner with EXCITE technology. 279 images appeared on my disc but there is evidence many images have been removed. The number 399 appears in the DICOM Metadata tags which accompany each image and give the parameters of the scan. Why did they withhold these images? An editing technique was also employed to intentionally darken the lower half of my head / skull and the EXACT area of my injury which needed crucial attention. Why did they do this? When I tried to navigate through the corporate hierarchy of EXPRESS MRI I was repeatedly met with conflicting answers and uncertainty. This is unbecoming behavior of a group of supposed medical professionals.

Mrs.Dominique White was absolutely amazing! She was kind, efficient, and willing to go above and beyond to help with my license. She was patient and professional but above all she was understanding! I think could stand to use more people like her given the demand! I am thankful for my interaction with Mrs.White through this very stressful process of licensing application because she completely eased my stress a hundred fold.Additionally, I would recommend her a million times over for her exceptional interpersonal skills , clarity in instruction, and resourcefulness to accomplish the goal of licensure.Thank you once again Mrs. White!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Understaffed, inconsistent, inefficient. Waiting on nurse protocols takes months to over a year. Communication is lacking. This is so grossly disrespectful. Hire more staff. My POC has changed 5 times in the past year and a half. But every single one of my checks get cashed within days of sending in, so there’s that. I have had to go all the way up the chain of command just to get a response for an update.

I have been licensed as a PA in GA for 24yrs, so I have added MANY supervising physicians over the years. But this new system & update is the absolute worst. I now have not a SINGLE supervising MD listed on my license. My paperwork from early June 2025 is still in limbo without a posted outcome. Can I practice legally? No one answers the phone or replies to voicemails or to NextRequest messages to tell me. I have sent 4 messages to my licensing rep in the last 2 weeks & 3 to the database administrator trying to get clarity as to the status of my paperwork and WHO I can practice under if my entire list of supervising MDs is scrubbed blank. The same happened to one of my PA colleagues & she was told to resubmit ALL her supervising MD paperwork. No way. Then, when you go to do so, the rules of practice that you have to attest to isn't even based on current PA practice code. It has all kinds of other requirements in there that are not law. HELP.

I am really struggling with what to do here. I applied for a license through the IMLCC 2 on June 11th, and still had not heard anything back. I tried multiple times to contact someone, anyone from this board to sort out what the issue is. No one answers the phone or replies to emails. Every voicemail box is full. I finally got a person on the phone from an entirely different department and they transferred me to the correct party. This was the only way I could reach her which makes me wonder if they are screening calls from outside numbers? In any case, an IMLCC license usually takes less than a week, but apparently they had a system update on July 12 that no longer communicates with the IMLCC system/process, so I have to apply manually for the license. This is frustrating because this change occurred 1 month AFTER I put in my application. Now here I am trying to complete this application that I should not have had to do in the first place, but it's giving me an error that makes no sense and I can't move past. So now I am again STUCK and guess what, no one is answering the phones again. I do need a license to do my job and I am beyond frustrated here. A google review seems so pointless but I have no idea how to get anyones attention or help at this board. This is crazy! I have never experienced anything like this with any other board (and I have worked with several). Guys, something needs to change over there!

Glad to know I'm not the only one. I applied in September 2023. It's May 2024. I've emailed multiple times, left messages, with very little response. Called a supervisor and was told that the person responsible for my application "has 500 applications that she's doing," as though that means they can't respond to an email after several months. Still don't have my license. Addendum: I just got off the phone with Ms. Katonya Reynolds, who answered every question I had, even though she is not assigned to my case. I got further with her in five minutes than I have in seven months, and now have hope that I'll actually get my license.

Updated review: I was able to speak with management and they are correcting the problems with the phones and pushed through my husband's APRN agreement the same day. They are expecting a portal update this year that should help streamline this process going forward. They are doing their best with what they have currently in place and I appreciate the help and license expedition.

Alayna is saying my supervising physician must reside in ga and also be within a 50 mile radius of my patient. The statute clearly states the physician must either reside within the state of GA OR within a 50 mile radius of the patient it does not say reside in GA AND within a 50 mile radius of the patient. Please have this info corrected asap lots of NPs will lose their supervising drs with this misinformation. I have spoken to Luitenent Hector Rodriguez from your unit and he said I am absolutely correct reading this statement. My dr can be located anywhere within the state of GA as long as my patient is also in GA.

I have been calling and leaving voicemails once weekly for the past month trying to get help renewing my medical license and have not received one single returned phone call. I have also tried reaching out via email and via their messaging system with no response. My medical license expires at the end of this month and I have been unable to access my account so that I can electronically complete and submit my application. ***Update*** 8/26/25 Within 24 hours of my initial google review post, I received and email from COO Traylor Rogers. He apologized for the inconvenience and helped me get my account straightened out so that I could submit my license renewal application. Mr. Rogers was very professional and very helpful. He explained that basically GCMB is changing systems and they are in the middle of a large data transfer and they have been overwhelmed with calls. My personal issue was that although I have held an active medical license with GCMB for the past 6 years, with the transition to this new system I had register as if I were logging in for the first time. The instruction on the site says "If this is your first time visiting the Georgia Composite Medical Board Gateway, please click Register to get started!" Since I had been logging in and renewing my license for the past 6 years I did not think that i fell into the category of "first time visiting the GCMB gateway". Once I started the registration process as if I had never logged in to GCMB gateway, the site recognized me and auto populated most of my information. It did make me create a new username and password. The remainder of the process was easy and seamless. Hope this helps others who may be struggling with the same issue.
