Unresponsive to any email or phone communications for more than 1 month. I have been trying to get updates on my physician license for a job I'm supposed to start in June, but there have been no updates in almost 6 weeks despite all of my licensing documents being submitted. The online request form gets no response, and I've called the office repeatedly and left messages with no reply. Very frustrating experience and not sure how else to finally get in contact with someone there. *To clarify, the issue is not the 30-60 business day turnaround - that is understandable. The problem is that it is very difficult to get in contact with anyone for questions, and the website is outdated. Your application sits in limbo for weeks/months and may not even be complete, but there is no way to get in contact with someone to ask even simple clarification questions to ensure you've done everything correctly.

Very frustrating to deal with. I have been trying to get my respiratory therapy license for a month, my employment has even been pushed back because they are very hard to reach. Was told that if they needed anything from me they would contact me, yet received no communication and a few days before the board is set to meet, my application is still incomplete and nobody will tell me why even though I have had everything sent in. Will never answer the phone, and won’t respond to your online communication request until it’s too late. If you’re attempting to get a license of this kind in the state of Georgia I would recommend allocating at least two months ahead of time. In other states I have had zero issues receiving a license and it would be approved within a matter of days. I grew up in Georgia and it’s unfortunate to see how little effort is being put into those who wish to stay in the work force here. Update: A few hours after lodging this complaint I received a phone call from Miss White. She was very helpful in clearing up the miscommunication and within that same day all of the content in my application was approved. I am very grateful to her for going out of her way to help me during a time of high frustration and anxiety, she has been very understanding and helpful in the past 24 hours.

I have been trying to contact someone regarding my Physician Assistant licensure application for the past three weeks. During that time, I have sent multiple emails and left several voicemail messages, yet I have not received a single response or update on my application status. It is disappointing that in the midst of a healthcare provider shortage, applicants who are ready and qualified to begin serving patients are unable to obtain timely communication from the licensing board. As of today, I still have not received a return call, email, or any information regarding my application. I respectfully request that the Georgia Composite Medical Board improve its communication process and provide applicants with timely updates regarding licensure matters.

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of communication and responsiveness from the Medical Composite Board regarding my laser practitioner license application. I submitted all required documentation, paid the application fees, and have been waiting for over three months without any update or decision. During this time, I have made numerous phone calls, left messages, and submitted requests for assistance, yet I have received little to no response. The delay has directly affected my career opportunities. I have lost potential job opportunities because employers require proof of licensure, and I have been unable to provide it due to the Board’s failure to process or communicate the status of my application. I understand that applications take time to review, but applicants deserve timely updates and responses, especially after paying fees and submitting all requested materials. The lack of communication has been frustrating, stressful, and financially impactful. I respectfully ask that the Board improve its response times and communication with applicants so others do not experience the same hardship. Sincerely, A Concerned Applicant

Not that I would give the Medical Board an overall rating of 5 stars, but I would give license specialist Natalie Williams 10 stars if I could. Natalie is the best. She ALWAYS responds, and is so pleasant to work with, even providers enjoy working with her. We need 10 more Natalie's at the Medical Board. Thank you for always going above and beyond and actually caring. What you do indirectly effects patient care and your passion shines through your work. Thank you Natalie!

I needed to renew my physician license this year. Initially there was some difficulty processing the online payment through the GCMB website. I was able to speak with Mr. Traylor Rogers, Chief of Operations, who I contacted when I wasn't able to get anyone else on the phone. Mr. Rogers was able to assist in resolving the problem and provided outstanding customer service! Thank you!

Our practice continues to have a terrible time communicating with the Georgia Medical Board. No responses to our inquiries after a week or more about an IMLCC license submitted months ago! Terrible service by this Board!
