Georgia Composite Medical Board - 11th floor

This has been the absolute worst experience of my entire life… good luck getting anyone to answer the phone or actually respond to a request online. You will go months without a single response or update from anyone. I successfully submitted my APRN protocol at the beginning of this year. Last I heard from someone, I was told all my information was received and will be reviewed soon. Months and months go by without a single update from anyone… FINALLY got someone to answer the phone yesterday all for them to tell me that I have to resubmit my application all over again due to them being “paperless now”… need I remind you, my check was processed back in March. They have no issues taking your money, yet can’t even update you or respond to a simple email.. Update: The same day I wrote this review, I was immediately contacted by Traylor Rogers who wasted no time helping me and answering all my unanswered questions. Within 24 hours I had my newly submitted application approved. He was very kind and understanding to all my frustrations. I am very appreciative of him.

5 stars for Brianna Stewart, who was very kind and accommodating once I showed up in person. I will say the process of filing peoples packets seems broken, they told me they could not find any of my entire APRN protocol agreement (that had been sent Fedex overnight 2 months prior) and I had to go in person and provide an emailed copy in order to be approved. 1 star for the fact that they lost my packet sent by a credentialing specialist at a local major metropolitan hospital system 10 minutes away and had no intention of telling me until I showed up in person 2 months after it had been sent and lost.

They took over 15 minutes to answer the bell when we rung it. After looking annoyed at my wife. Then proceeded to talk about how many times rung the bell. My wife waited about 5 minutes between each. All she wanted was get license to start her career in medicine. I'm entirely sure how the process works and I could be wrong but I went need better and more professional people in this type of environment. I'm not the only one who thinks so. Is there way a I can vote on this?

Submitted initial application and payment to the Georgia Medical Composite Board several months ago, then had to submit another application in October. Since that time, I’ve tried to reach the Board and have received no response at all. The Board switched to a new system in July, yet six months later, applicants like myself are still facing extreme delays and complete lack of communication. Reading other reviews, it’s clear this is not an isolated incident but a persistent pattern of mismanagement and disregard for applicants. Posting this here in the hope that, since they do not respond through normal channels, they will finally address this situation

Same complaint as other medical professionals here. I got a letter saying that my IMLC compact license was approved and then a few weeks later another letter saying my application was getting ready to expire in the next two weeks. Letter said to contact the board for questions. No one answers the phone and goes straight to VM and no response to emails. I am not even sure if I am licensed in Georgia.

Can anyone help me? I have submitted my APRN agreement over 15 months ago. None of my checks have been cashed. I have called numerous times and sent emails with no response. I see they have a new system in place and I have electronically filed my agreement and had to send the check through the mail. I have done all I know to do. I have even left messages to others not assigned to my name. The Georgia Board of Nursing sent an email last October stating they want to help facilitate the process but I have emailed them multiple times and called and they act like it’s not their problem. I have completed this process multiple times throughout my career and it takes 60-90 days and my rep was always available by email. How can this go on this way? If anyone has suggestions I would love the help. I am about 2 1/2 hours away and I am willing to drive there if it will help.

I dont think there is an institution in the entire world worse than this board. They NEVER answer calls. Almost like no one works there. They dont respond to complaints. Its a miracle how we are all alive

I have had a medical liscense with GA for 20 yrs and have never ever had any issues logging on and renewing. This new process is horrible to say the least and trying to get help impossible. I have called left messages and used the NEXT help center for message and no response! It has been days and no response. Not sure how I am suppose to renew. The site will not let me get passed the SS info stating contact the board due to incorrect info...

Difficult to get anyone answering the phone. When the phone was answered, (having difficulty getting access through the website when trying to change my practice address). I was treated rudely recommending I access the website to do so. I explained that the website was not allowing me to log in or allow me to re-register OR change my password!!! I WAS HUNG UP ON!!! I am in a wheelchair and their office is not convenient to parking!! I went there once because of such issues. There was only ONE person in the office! There are software issues for accessing the website which remain uncorrected. Sigh For fees we are paying, INCREDIBLY POOR SERVICE!

This has been an extremely frustrating process. My APRN agreement and documentation required was uploaded and submitted on 9/3/2025. I have called numerous times and sent messages with zero feedback. While I cannot log in personally to check application status, my collaborating MD has received emails stating the application will be expiring next week since it still shows "incomplete" due to multiple items missing (yet I have completed each item and shows my files are uploaded!!!). This is extremely frustrating and I refuse to pay another $150 fee since they are the ones who have not reviewed my application and let it expire. Please make this process better!!
