Mrs Dwana is amazing from hello to goodbye. The procedure to follow was concisely explained and made simple and easy for me. Thank you so much Mrs Dwana for being an exemplary individual!
Unfortunately, I'll be joining the list of people who have had a horrible experience with this institution. Applied back in March. 3 months later and all I know with clarity is that my fee was cashed. I don't know where my documents are, LORs, I know NOTHING. No calls back, emails are bouncing back. I may have to drive there to get answers as I see someone did.
I applied for my laser license and they were very prompt about helping me with the necessary documentation for obtaining my license. Communication was quick via email, Mrs. Carol helped me and i am very pleased with her diligence!
Terrible service. No one answers phones Emails are automated replies that “Xx” is out of the office??!!??! Update: 7/24/25 - once I knew about the specifics, the turnaround was very quick with 5 star service! Communication is the key.
I had a terrible experience until I was connected with Natalie in the licensing department. She was responsive and helpful and even called me to follow up with updates on my application process. Huge thank you to Natalie!!
Such a terrible experience with the Board!!!! Im not big on posting reviews but this one needed to go on record how this effects our role a health care providers. Applied for license on April 10th. Didn’t hear back a a word till mid July!! So I finally decided to call my agent listed on the site. After many many attempt, she finally takes my call on July 20th and to my surprise, my application packet wasn’t even open yet!!! She opens my packet and responds the next day with missing documents list, submitted those within 48 hours. Again reaching out to her > no response. Reached out to her manager after a week, she responds telling me some other document is missing ( which she confirmed in prior email that she received it). So I finally decided to show up to their office today. Waiting on my agent from 6 hours ( yes I was parked right there in the lot from 9am-3pm and wasn’t gonna leave until I met her) to show up from a meeting. They take my name and said my work will be done in a while. Within 20 min all my document status changed to complete and I got email of approval. Bottom line!! Don’t waste your time waiting for them to reply you or respond to your email. If it has been more than recommended wait time, just show up!!!!
Let me first say I understand the challenges that the pandemic has created for everyone. Thus, I understand and I'm most considerate that most companies are challenged with staffing issues. However, it is very disheartening the lack of communication that this public state office offers. I have been waiting for review since March and still haven't received one. The website offers very little assistance as it is not updated. As a public entity of the state you would hope to at least speak to one human when calling but you always receive a prompt that " the person is tele- communicating". The act of leaving a message I have found is useless as no one returns your calls. This office really needs to improve it's processes in serving the state. Thank you
I had a wonderful discussion with Kimberly at the Georgia Composite Medical Board today. She listened to me attentively, responded respectfully, and she resolved my issue very quickly. I have a lot of experience with Medical Boards because I have been licensed in many states. Medical Boards have an almost impossible job: regulating a population of entitled know-it-alls who resist supervision at every turn. I know because I am one. No medical board does this impossible job with more kindness and respect than the Georgia Composite Medical Board.
It is apparent from the other reviews there is something definitely wrong over here. We have sent APRN forms and checks and NO response back. NOTHING. We have emailed multiple times, called multiple times and now the person responsible for all of this, her voicemail is full so you cannot leave a message. This is a complete atrocity when we are trying to run a business and need our providers to have the legal documentation in place, yet the medical board does NOT call or email you back after a month of contacting. Something needs to be done about this ASAP. Completely unacceptable.
No one seems to know or care to help. I submitted my PA license application in April and after submitting all requested docs, I was told I needed additional information. Submitted the additional info and still waiting on license approval. I have questions and no one has any answers. I drove 2 hours to the board and of course, no one was on site that could provide any assistance. What is going on here? Is there anyone that can help? Is there an agency we can report this to?
