I strongly agree with Brian’s review. After staying here myself, I honestly feel the same way and was shocked by how poorly this property is operated for a hotel that presents itself as luxury. The hotel was chaotic from the moment we arrived. Public areas were overcrowded, noisy, and disorganized, with guests standing around everywhere because there simply was not enough space or staff to handle the volume. Instead of feeling relaxing or upscale, the entire atmosphere felt stressful and badly managed. Breakfast was by far the worst experience. We were told the wait for dine-in breakfast would be over an hour, while even takeout orders required around 40 minutes. There was nowhere reasonable to wait, so guests were basically forced to stand around in packed waiting area with insufficient seating and no communication. I have never experienced this level of dysfunction at any hotel before — not even at budget hotels, let alone a supposed 5-star property. To make matters worse, the service attitude did not match the price point at all. The hotel still automatically added an 18% gratuity to the bill despite providing some of the weakest service I have experienced in years. The value for money here is extremely poor. Cleanliness was another major issue. In our first room, there were dark mold-like stains on the bathroom floor near the shower area. The shower door design does not seal properly, causing water to leak onto the floor during use, so this seems to be an ongoing maintenance problem rather than an isolated incident. After changing rooms, the second room still had smaller dark stains in the same area, and there was also a dirty cotton swab left under the sink that housekeeping had missed. What shocked me most is that none of these problems felt accidental. The poor crowd management, weak service, lack of cleanliness, and overall operational disorder all seemed systemic. This is not a hotel I would recommend during holidays — or honestly at any time. This stay completely destroyed my impression of this property, and seriously damaged my trust in the IHG brand overall.

After a long day of travel we arrived at the hotel early and were greeted by Alberto… not only did he put smiles on our faces, he was the most enjoyable person to talk to. He gave us pointers on things to do, made sure we had the best room and view possible and just made us all smile. When we got back to the hotel after exploring all day, we were greeted by Alberto again, he remembered all of our names and made us smile again. I highly recommend you finding Alberto the next time you check in.

The property is stunning and the views can’t be beat. I had a wonderful stay from the moment I checked in with Alberto until the morning I left several days later. The food was tasty and plentiful, the bar drinks were consistent which i appreciated, and room service was quick. Thanks again for a great stay and thank you for setting the tone, Alberto!

The hard product is great - the gym/pool & facilities, the building itself and the rooms are great but on 2/2 occasions the service/staff are very inconsistent to your detriment and then the bill at the end may leave a bad taste too. This hotel behaves so badly when it comes to gouging customers; it trie its hardest to maximise how much money can be extracted from your card during every night of your stay. The staff seem to be trained to explain as little as possible so that you can end up falling into multiple traps of ‘additional fees’. The daily amenity fee is a perfect example of this; on 2/2 stays it was never mentioned or explained, in 2026 vs 2024 it offers even more obscure benefits (i.e. things you probably didn’t want) and if you were staying 5 nights, each night’s stay has the same fee with diminishing benefits. Examples - spend $39+ tax to save $25 on dinner and $25 to spend on laundry just ONCE (regardless of nights stayed). Essentially, you need to spend money to access these services or accept that your $39+ tax is just as donation to the hotel’s owners. I am glad that this sort of behaviour is illegal in Europe, because it is definitely wrong on so many levels. Another example of guest exploitation: I had great welcome, told me breakfast was included as a Diamond Ambassador benefit (no further conditions were shared) and then leaves me with a bill for breakfast at the end. Apparently i should have been told that this is only $40 per person/per day (which would leave you very hungry considering that they auto-apply 18% gratuity aswell). What this allowance would give you is a bottle of juice + gratuity, again forcing you to spend more. Since I argued that this was never explained, i did eventually get refunded after 10mins of holding my ground when checking out. This is the worst IHG hotel i have ever stayed in for customer gouging and so i don’t think that i would stay here a third time.

I visited this hotel for my mother’s 90 birthday. I also booked the room with club lounge access. The club lounge staff and Marcelo were very helpful after a disappointing Sunday. The pool is too small for a large hotel and our room was not serviced timely. We waited over 4 hours to finally return to the to room. We tried to sit at the pool but there are maybe 20 free chairs which made that impossible. Attitude gym was not staffed and dirty but does have great equipment. The club lounge staff and food were great which made our stay!

On top of the amazing view and modern rooms, the staff here are so lovely and very sweet! Alberto was the front desk agent that checked us out and he was so accommodating and helped clear up some issues with the mini-bar. Karla was the front desk agent who checked us in and was very patient with us as we did a last minute reservation

My wife and I were celebrating her birthday in LA and stayed at the Intercontinental. Marvin Bojorquez and the entire hotel staff were exceptional and attentive. He helped me plan and set up our room with all the birthday decorations along with a birthday cake before check-in and safe to say my wife was pleasantly surprised. I will definitely be staying here again when I’m back in LA.

Nice hotel. Samy, the front desk manager was very nice and welcoming. She explained the amenities to me well. Everyone I came into contact with was nice, had a smile on their faces, and greeted me. Nice breakfast layout in the club.

Second time staying here. Amazing views. Amazing service (from the front desk to the servers to the friendly window washers who waved at my dog). I wish I could remember everyone's name, but Gabriel who helped us with our luggage was amazing. Can't wait to come back!

Such a great time staying here! The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are so comfortable and clean. I was here for a long weekend for a conference in town and Jordan, Maria, and Steve were amazing. From the check-in process to trying to find our way around LA to helping us secure our luggage and transportation as we were leaving, it was a great experience!
