InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown by IHG

I had an amazing stay! Sergio and Rick were wonderful. Rick at the front desk was fantastic and went above and beyond to help us. He even gave us upgrades, which truly made our stay special. Sergio was also wonderful and brought our things up to the room with such kindness and professionalism. Their excellent service made a big difference, and we truly appreciated their hospitality. Highly recommend!

The hotel felt completely overwhelmed and poorly managed during memorial weekend. The lobby and restaurant areas were packed with people standing around everywhere, creating a chaotic, noisy, and uncomfortable atmosphere rather than the calm, upscale environment guests would reasonably expect. There appeared to be little to no crowd control, guest flow management, or proactive communication from staff. The breakfast experience was the worst part of the stay. We tried to have breakfast at the hotel restaurant and were told we would need to stand in line for more than two hours. When we asked whether there was water, seating, or any reasonable way to wait, staff told us there was no water and no chairs available, and that we basically had to stand in line, deal with it, or leave. The response was rude, dismissive, and completely unacceptable for a hotel at this price point. Holiday weekends are obviously busy, but that is not an excuse for poor planning or disrespectful treatment of guests. A hotel of this level should be prepared for high occupancy with adequate staffing, clear waitlist procedures, seating options, basic hospitality, and courteous communication. Instead, the property felt chaotic, understaffed, and poorly run. This stay did not meet the standards I expect from InterContinental. The service, crowd management, and restaurant operations were far below what a premium hotel should provide. I would not recommend this property during busy weekends or holidays unless management makes serious improvements.

We had an amazing stay! From the moment we arrived, the staff were all really nice and friendly. Our room was extremely beautiful with an unbelievable view, this place truly exceeded our expectations. We really enjoyed every moment. A special shoutout to Brianna at the front desk, she was the best! So nice, welcoming, and super friendly. Highly recommend!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Amazing service from Sergio and Harley on arrival. Quick efficient service and made our stay amazing!! So helpful and kind too... great views from hotel with lovely staff at bar too. Amenities are brilliant! Location is good with lots of stores around.

The staff here is absolutely incredible! We truly cannot say enough great things about everyone. The bartenders in the lobby — Evan, Linh, Rene, Christopher, and Jason — were all amazing! They made every experience so fun and welcoming. The drinks were great, the service was outstanding, and they really helped make our stay such a good time. We had amazing memories and would absolutely come back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had an amazing stay at InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown and it truly exceeded my expectations. The hotel is located right in the heart of Downtown LA, and the views from the rooms are absolutely unreal, especially at night with the city lights. The rooms are modern, clean, and very comfortable. You can tell a lot of attention went into the design and overall experience. The floor-to-ceiling windows were easily one of my favorite parts. Waking up to that view was something else. Service was excellent from start to finish. The staff was professional, welcoming, and quick to help with anything I needed. Check-in was smooth and everything felt organized and high-end. One of the highlights was visiting Spire 73. The atmosphere up there is incredible and the views of Los Angeles are hard to beat. Definitely a must if you’re staying at the hotel. The amenities overall were great, and everything felt well maintained. Whether you’re in LA for business or just visiting, this place gives you a luxury experience without feeling overwhelming. If you’re looking for a high-end hotel in Downtown Los Angeles with amazing views, great service, and a central location, I would definitely recommend InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown.

Best hotel I've ever stayed at! The views at InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown are incredible and the service was even better. Ana at the front desk recognized my loyalty status and upgraded our room, which was such a great surprise. Marvin from Concierge helped organize an amazing birthday surprise for my girlfriend - truly the best! And Ivan at La Boucherie made our dinner experience perfect. Amazing stay from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved our stay. The views were amazing from all parts of the hotel. Our king suite was comfortable. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Special thank you to Jovi C from valet services who was so helpful in explaining the services and helping me with charging my car.

Manny was the absolute best. Always in a good mood with something nice to say. He remembered my whole family’s names and always said hello to us when we walked by. He was a great part of the phenomenal hotel that we stayed at.

We stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my birthday. The check-in staff, the room, and the rooftop bar were all wonderful, and we genuinely enjoyed many aspects of our stay. Unfortunately, our overall experience was overshadowed by an unpleasant interaction with one of the valet staff members. The valet attendant was unfriendly, rude, and seemed unwilling to provide even basic customer service. His attitude made us feel unwelcome and left a very negative impression at the end of what should have been a special celebration. It’s disappointing because the rest of the hotel and staff were excellent. I hope management addresses this issue, as one employee’s behavior significantly affected an otherwise enjoyable stay.
