InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown by IHG

Beautiful hotel with fantastic service, especially from Angel at the front desk. Warm, friendly, exactly the sort of person you want at that position. Took away a star for the room because of the leaking shower head, and a dining table that looks like its never been wiped down with a damp cloth. Food was also great, and the views spectacular. I look forward to returning.

We checked in at 4:00 PM and specifically confirmed with the front desk that our room would have a good view. After taking care of our plans and finally coming back to the hotel, we discovered that our room faces another building instead. It honestly feels like this was done on purpose. We booked this hotel for the July 4th fireworks, and the poor view completely ruined our plans and the experience. This was extremely disappointing, especially after we were assured that the view would be good. I expected much better communication and honesty from the hotel. _______ Thank you for your response. However, an apology alone does not resolve what happened. We intentionally checked in at 4:00 p.m. because having a good view was very important to us. Before checking in, I specifically asked the front desk whether the room had a good view, and I was assured that it did. Based on that assurance, we checked in, went out to take care of our plans, and returned later that evening. When we returned to our room, we discovered that it faced the neighboring building instead of having the view we had been promised. As soon as we realized this, Priceline contacted the hotel on our behalf and requested to cancel our reservation, but the hotel refused the cancellation request. My husband also went to the front desk to explain the situation in person, but by then we were told that there were no other rooms available. We had no choice but to stay. We ended up paying nearly $600, including $70 for parking, for a room that was completely different from what had been promised. That night, we listened to Fourth of July fireworks until around midnight, but instead of enjoying the view, we were forced to stare at the wall of the neighboring building. The main reason we chose this hotel was for the view, and that entire experience was completely ruined. Because the room we received was different from what had been promised, I believe the hotel should have approved Priceline’s cancellation request. Knowing everything that happened, it is extremely frustrating to see that the hotel’s response was nothing more than a generic, template reply.

Every time I visit LA, I stay at the InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown because of the stunning views, but this stay was particularly satisfying and enjoyable. Since I was traveling with a baby, we didn't arrive until 3 AM, but thanks to Luis, we had a smooth check-in even at that hour. The view was beautiful as always, and although there was a minor issue with the bathroom sink, the hotel’s immediate response resolved it quickly. The staff constantly checked in to ensure we were comfortable, making our 5-day stay wonderful. Dining at La Boucherie with that fantastic night view was also a highlight. The InterContinental will definitely be my choice for my next LA trip as well. I especially want to thank Marcelo, Maria, and Jasmine for their great support with my baby-related inquiries and the bathroom issue!

Had a wonderful weekend here. Lots of good things to say but things that stand out was that the view is great, the rooms were clean and modern, and the gym had all the bells and whistles. Emilio R, was very friendly and made us feel welcomed.

We had a wonderful stay at the Intercontinental. Seriously can it get any better? The room with the stunning view, the location, the cocktails but above all the service and a special shout out to Manny Ayala, the concierge, who was at our back and call and seem to have been for everybody. We brought some special food that we wanted to store in the fridge but that was filled with alcohol for purchase. No problem said Manny I'll bring you a fridge and within 10 minutes we had another mini fridge in the room. Outstanding service.

We had some issues checking in because we booked through Expedia and Brianda went above and beyond to help us. Truly some of the best customer service we’ve had checking into a hotel. They were laughing and making jokes with us and both their personalities were so fun and engaging. Extremely memorable experience haha. She was so accommodating and sweet that moving forward we will book straight through the hotel. Please give her a promotion. Albert was amazing as well. We are so happy with the customer service.

We had a great stay! We stayed here for 2 nights. Clean, modern, great views and food! Everyone we encountered from the staff were welcoming and helpful. We ate breakfast and dinner at their onsite restaurants and had really good meals. My daughter also really enjoyed their pool( it’s not heated btw). On Sunday, it was crowded and they are limited with pool chairs so keep that in mind. We went to universal studios and the drive in the morning was 12 mins but 30 mins on the way back due to traffic. Overall great stay! We plan on coming back to LA later this year and I am definitely considering staying here again!

This was our second stay here, and once again, we had a wonderful experience. The panoramic views are breathtaking! We can see not only downtown but miles of the city stretching into the distance. What really stood out most to us was the exceptional service. Everyone was so kind and helpful, and we especially want to thank Maria and Manny for their outstanding hospitality. The hotel lobby is beautiful! bright and welcoming. At night we loved sipping a drink while enjoying the night view. The location is also incredibly convenient. close to museums and many of my favorite restaurants.

This was my first time staying at the InterContinental Hotel as a frequent traveler to Los Angeles. I must say it did not disappoint. I had an amazing experience from check-in to check-out. Alberto greeted us at the hotel lobby and was so accommodating with us for check-in being that we arrived before the scheduled time. He was so professional and thorough when explaining all the amenities of the hotel. Jereal, the doorman, was so friendly and helpful when it came to getting around LA. I appreciated his help with luggage and bags when we arrived. The rooms were spacious, clean, and with great views of downtown. The concierge team was also so attentive and assisted us with our needs in a timely fashion from extra towels to bottled water. Food and drinks at the restaurant and lobby bar were also great! The rooftop is a must see while here. Thank you team for such a great stay! I am looking forward to returning.

Beautiful hotel!!! Great rooms, 70floor lobby makes you feel great. Restaurant at 71 is great and terrace bar at 73 is great. Saff are really nice, from valet to servers. A very safe neigjbourhood for 2026 LA in my opinion! I went with my dad for the world cup and we felt very comfortable. And spotd like Hollywood and santa monica are not that far. Recommended by me!!!!
