I stayed at Grand Hyatt San Diego Nov 2025. While the stay itself was fine, the post-stay customer service has been extremely disappointing. At check-in the hotel charged a security deposit of €81.52, which should normally be released within a few days after checkout. More than four months later, the deposit has still not been refunded. In addition, there is a €9.76 charge on my statement that has never been explained. I contacted the hotel directly in January and provided screenshots of the charges, but never received a response. I have since followed up with Hyatt customer service and still have not received any clear explanation or confirmation that the refund has been processed. For a hotel operating under a major international brand like Hyatt, leaving a guest chasing a small deposit for months without any response is unacceptable. Travelers should be aware that if billing issues arise, getting them resolved may take significant effort. Very disappointing handling of what should be a simple matter.

My wife and I stayed here for a few days. Had never been to San Diego before. My only complaint was that the Globalist club lounge was closed for renovation--which wasn't stated when we booked it. The hotel included a free breakfast buffet each day, but it doesn't replace the value of the club lounge. Speaking of breakfast, we really enjoyed seeing Serawit in the restaurant each morning. He was always smiling, kind, and being a genuinely joyful person brightened our day! Some things we enjoyed in the area: 1. The Taco Stand - Enjoyable and affordable restaurant about a mile away. 2. Balboa Park - We walked the couple miles to get here. Well worth it to see the unique sights. 3. La Jolla - Walked along the coastal trail, amazing sights, sea lions and seals were one of the highlights. 4. Pacific Beach - Kind of like a Daytona Beach. Nice place to go for a walk or spend time relaxing. 5. Coronado Island - Walked around the Hotel del Coronado property which was amazing. Also spent time on the beach--probably the nicest one in the area. 6. Sunset Cliffs Natural Park - Probably my favorite part of the trip. Great place to explore, hike, and see the amazing coastal cliffs. 7. Played basketball and pickleball at the hotel. Wanted to go to a rooftop movie but didn't end up having time. 8. Seaside Village - Right outside the hotel and a great place to catch dinner or go for a walk/run along the coast.

Booked this hotel for a local conference and it was extraordinary in many ways. Beautiful hotel all around, crisp newly remodeling in hallways and rooms, first class service, and helpful staff everywhere. Pool is ok but a little small for the size of the hotel and only one small hotub was open. Views are promo but is quite a walk from the convention center esp if your conf is on the south end.

Premium feeling hotel in an excellent downtown location. A 4 minute walk from the green line trolley. 4 stars because it’s now 4:21 PM and I still haven’t gotten my daily room service that I’ve been waiting on. This has tarnished my experience of this hotel.

Really impressive at first but the construction left no place to have a meeting and did not let us come in to our room anywhere near our entrance. Wifi also extremely spotty and hard to work with. It seems like no one knows how to deal with the construction so would recommend anyone wait to stay here until it's done.

Great view, no amenities what so ever. $55 parking not included, no room service, sub par customer service, & for the price….rather stay in a motel 6. Do not recommend.

Great hotel with friendly, helpful and courteous staff. Great location and walking distance to Seaport Village, Gaslamp Quarter, Convention Center, Petco Park, Little Italy, and harbor area.

My room was at the very end next to the ice machine and I woke up several times every night during my stay due to people getting ice or water. Additionally, the rooms need some insulation because I could hear people talking down the hallway. This also woke me up. Otherwise, the amenities and location were great.

Hosted out-of-town clients at the Manchester Grand Hyatt while walking them through the Marina District and Coronado ferry route — the bayfront setting does a lot of the heavy lifting. The views from the upper floors are genuinely spectacular and the scale of the property impresses buyers coming from secondary markets. Sally's Fish House is a solid client dinner option. For large relocation groups, the conference facilities and room count make this a reliable choice.

I want to highlight the fantastic experience we had at the Grand Hyatt San Diego. Ria, front desk hostess, made us feel very special when we checked in, making sure all amenities and a roll away bed were delivered within minutes of our arrival. She then called to see if there was anything else she could do to make our stay special. I really appreciated her efforts, they were significantly above and beyond what we expected. Our suite was beautiful and everything was in perfect working order. We took advantage of the complementary harbor cruise, which is a short 10 min walk from the hotel. The Hyatt club is also very nice at this location. We will definitely be staying here again and we highly recommend it to families traveling to San Diego.
