The Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego is a stunning property with incredible views. Our room offered breathtaking panoramas of the harbor and city skyline that made the stay memorable. The hotel itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and in a fantastic location right by the waterfront. That said, as a Globalist member I expected better service and breakfast quality. The breakfast meats were often either cold or overcooked, and we had to repeatedly ask for towels during our stay. These small issues were disappointing at this price point and loyalty level. Overall, the spectacular views and beautiful hotel still make it worth recommending for San Diego visitors. Just temper expectations on the dining and some service details.

Beautiful hotel super friendly staff. Came on a girls trip and we accidentally forgot our toiletries tote with all our makeup and medications. We knew we took it out of the room but think we left it in the parking garage, called the hotel when we got back to AZ and they had not found it. Well 5 days later they found it, called us, and are shipping it to us for free!! Talk about amazing customer service.

We reserved 3 suite rooms for the extended family. Promised early check in but rooms not ready until 6PM. This was caused because the previous guest was granted a 4pm late check out. Then the front desk kept making errors on keys. Correcting one key issue and they would cancel the wrong key which cause more problems. 4 times we had to go to the front desk. They apologize and make more keys. Wash rinse repeat. My suite is missing furniture. Big empty room missing the furniture shown in the website. Sewer smell issue in suite. Maintenance came, ran water in drains and air the room out. Guess what, it keeps coming back as of this post they don’t have a solution. Now to the petty complains - sprinkle heads were taped over since the last remodel. Coffee maker does not work. Cabinets in suite area are hanging by one hinge. In addition never told us this room was handicap suite which makes is less desirable for us. If known we would have given this room to a family in our group with small kids and they would have loved to use the bathtub. The website shows beautiful shower but ours is cheap tub with wooden seat. It would have been much better if at 10Am on check in day they told us we can’t get you in to room until after 4pm instead of saying highly likely you will get room early afternoon. They knew their guests were granted late arrival and did not want to tell us. They are sold out and we are stuck with I apologize but no solutions

As someone who stays almost exclusively with Hyatt, this was one of the more disappointing experiences I’ve had within the brand. Being a Globalist helped soften the impact since I had club access and the resort fee waived, but the overall stay still fell below expectations. At check-in, I waited in the Globalist line without acknowledgment while guests in the regular line were helped first. The room had a decent view, but the condition was not up to standard. The bathroom was not properly cleaned, with a bath cloth left hanging over the shower curtain. Even after housekeeping serviced the room, the same cloth was still there, which raised concerns about cleaning quality. The shower temperature fluctuated between very hot and cold, and the drain did not work properly. There was also a serious lapse in privacy when someone entered our room without knocking. When we brought the maintenance issues to the front desk, the staff member was dismissive, and it took unnecessary effort for them to offer a solution. Other details also fell short. The EV chargers were unreliable, with some not working and others extremely slow. The club lounge food was underwhelming, and I have had better breakfasts at lower tier Hyatt properties.

We loved the Manchester Hyatt. The location, staff, service were all top tier. They had some noise from the elevators and construction but it didn’t ruin our experience. They have a beautiful boardwalk area with shopping and restaurants behind the hotel. You can easily walk to a Padres game.

Our room was ready at when we arrived but not the view we asked for or paid extra for. They took 3 hours to get us a room cleaned by 6 pm we were checked in. Dog barked all night and woke us up early barking. It's now barking again. They can't find the problem or solve it. We are exhausted. The room and view are great and the area is fantastic for any age.

Great place to stay. It isn’t cheap but you get what you pay for. The self parking garage was alittle tight but ok. Don’t expect Disneyland type parking. The rooms were clean and all the small amenities were available. No empty bottles of soap, lotions, etc. which some other hotels I’ve experienced. The bed was clean and everything smelled fresh or washed. The views are great here. Even if you are looking into the city or bay, I found the view fantastic. They have a great breakfast in the hotel. It’s alittle pricey but worth it if you like eating :) everyone I talked to were very helpful and friendly.

Stayed at the Manchester Grand Hyatt and overall had a good experience. The location is definitely one of the best parts of this hotel right in downtown San Diego, close to the waterfront, within walking distance to many restaurants, shopping areas, and several attractions. Very convenient whether you’re visiting for business or vacation. The hotel itself was nice and what you would expect from a luxury property. However, I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the parking situation. I attended a conference during my stay and unfortunately my vehicle was involved in a hit and run while parked in the structure. The parking spaces are extremely tight and honestly some of the worst I’ve seen for a hotel of this level. What made the experience more frustrating was how the situation was handled. I was passed around between staff before finally being directed to security, only to be told that the parking structure is not owned by the hotel and there are no cameras available. It basically felt like I was left on my own with no real assistance or accountability. Great location and decent stay overall, but guests should definitely be cautious when parking there.

Excellent. Hotel was still undergoing renovations during our visit, but was hardly noticeable. Service was excellent, room was great, very convenient to local area and transit. Have stayed before, hope to stay again. Grand Club Lounge Users: Breakfast was a little lighter than expected, but sufficient and good quality. Evening service area appetizers only (IE, there's not enough to have a proper dinner). Alcoholic beverages are not complimentary in the lounge (and are quite expensive).

Recently stayed here for a work conference and was very impressed with this hotel. Samantha at the front desk made us feel right at home from the moment we stepped in. The hotel insists that guests should not pay for water so they offer complimentary water bottles (up to 4 a day for our room of two people) which you can order from the phone in your room, along with more towels, room service, request housekeeping, etc within an auto mated system. Hotel staff also just randomly hands them out. I thought that was a really nice accommodation. The hotel istelf was impressive with amazing views and is located right next to seaport village where there are many places to eat, shop, and great views of the marina. The staff was great, food was good, rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool was a little underwhelming but it wasn't warm enough to swim during our April visit anyway. Overall, a great stay.
