I stayed at Manchester Hyatt for 2 days for a conference. The rooms, service, location all perfect. Everything was at walkable distance.. Food inside the restauranta were also tasty. My favourite was Guacamole and Sally's

Beautiful hotel, fast service, great location. Short walk into the gaslamp quarter of San Diego, if you walk out the back door of the resort, you are steps away from the Coronado village. Great little stores and waterside eateries.

Nice refreshed rooms. Great location on the seaport. Expansive gym and luxurious third floor pool. The staff was great and very attentive. Mike at the Bell stand was clutch and willing to help whenever needed. The meetings and events team was great as well and very attentive. Excited for all the remaining meeting space to be finished being renovated.

Awful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Hyatt Manchester. We were given a room that was already occupied by another guest. Walking into someone else’s room — or having strangers potentially walk into ours — created a serious safety and security issue that should never happen at any hotel, especially one that claims to provide quality accommodations. Manager Garret K handled the situation poorly. Rather than appropriately compensating us for the distress, inconvenience, and safety concerns, we were only offered a refund and moved into a downgraded room. A refund for a problem this severe does not address the emotional stress or the fact that our family’s safety was jeopardized. This type of mistake could place guests in dangerous situations and raises major concerns about how room assignments and security procedures are managed. I would strongly caution others to consider whether they feel comfortable staying here knowing that occupied rooms may be reassigned. I expected accountability, concern for guest safety, and meaningful resolution. Instead, I left feeling dismissed and disappointed. If you want, I can also draft a firmer version that emphasizes the safety risk and requests corporate follow-up.

The Manchester Grand Hyatt has an unbeatable location with stunning views of San Diego Bay. Step outside and you’re right at Seaport Village and The Headquarters, with plenty of shopping, dining, and entertainment. The Gaslamp Quarter and Petco Park are an easy 15‑minute walk, and the light rail directly across the street makes it simple to reach Little Italy, Mission Valley, or even Chula Vista. Coronado is just a quick Lyft ride away. If you’re driving, there’s ample garage parking just steps from the entrance (for a fee). Flying in is just as convenient—the hotel is only about 15 minutes from the airport. This hotel works for just about any type of trip. It’s next to the Convention Center and has plenty of meeting space, making it ideal for business travel. For families, the rooms are a comfortable size, and the proximity to Seaport Village and casual dining is a huge plus. The pool and recreation deck—with shuffleboard and basketball—add to the family‑friendly vibe. For a romantic getaway, the bay views from the rooms and from Top of the Hyatt are hard to beat, and there are great date‑night restaurants nearby. And if you’re celebrating with friends, the location near the Gaslamp and Petco Park makes it perfect for a birthday weekend or bachelor/bachelorette trip. If you stayed here years ago and felt it didn’t live up to the hype, it’s worth giving it another shot. You can now check in and out through the app—no more long lines—and the entire hotel, including the rooms, has been refreshed. I was also told that streaming capabilities are coming to the TVs soon. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its incredible location, friendly staff, and updated feel. No matter the occasion, you’ll enjoy your stay.

This was very nice hotel. You do pay for the premium experience but it was worth it. The location is perfect. You can walk to gas lamp district in no time as well as seaport village. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The room was simple but really nice and a good view of the bay. We actually used room service and it was really good food and came fairly quick. Paying 45 for parking is ridiculous with the price of the hotel also but I guess that's San Diego for you.

Victoria at the front desk was amazing! She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and very accommodating from the moment we arrived. Her friendly attitude and great customer service made my stay even better. The Hyatt is lucky to have her! Oh & the hotel itself is great too :)

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Grand Manchester while celebrating our son’s birthday. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. Our room was beautiful, and the views were absolutely gorgeous—we loved looking out over the city and waterfront. The location couldn’t have been better. Being within walking distance of so many attractions made exploring San Diego so easy, and we especially enjoyed walking to the Padres games both nights. It made our birthday celebration even more memorable. The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. A special thank you to Dena Roady, who truly went above and beyond to make our son’s birthday stay perfect. Her kindness, thoughtfulness, and attention to detail made us feel genuinely valued, and we’re so grateful for everything she did to make our celebration extra special. We had an amazing experience and would happily stay here again. We highly recommend the Hyatt Grand Manchester to anyone visiting San Diego, whether for a special occasion or just a relaxing getaway.

The property felt luxurious, especially because I had a view of the bay. It was a pleasure to look out over the city and watch Pacific Fleet cruisers passing by. The beds were very comfortable, and there was a pillow menu. I highly recommend it.
