This is a luxury hotel and flawless in every category you can review them. Excellent location with very nice common facilities. Extremely courteous and friendly staff. Excellent rooms, spacious and comfortable, clean and tidy, very high quality toiletries. Large TV, and internet works really well. Several perks with the resort fee but I had no time to take advantage of them because I was here for a conference. Ah, very nice meeting rooms, and the food and coffee services were really good. All in all, excellent hotel. Photo: Bayview from floor 40.

I was here for the 4th of July weekend and the only negative that I had was the A/C. They will not let you set the temperature below 65 degrees F. My room was on the 25th floor and on some nights my room was really warm. When I first arrived the thermostat wasn't working properly and they did come and fix it, but the room stayed a little to warm for me. Luckily they did provide me a fan. The only other negative thing to note as of now (July 2026) is they are still doing some construction outside. During the weekday hours you may hear some noise. If you are gone most of the day, then it shouldn't be an issue. The positives are that some of the rooms provide great views of the marina, the bay, the ocean and all across downtown. They have some great amenities such as the rooftop pool , that has great views. The "Top of the Hyatt" restaurant is on the 40th floor and really has some terrific views. Also, there is a great large bar in the lobby "The Landing Place" and the free breakfast that they served on the weekends and Monday was really good. Better than expected. The hotel is in a great location. It is in walking distance to the convention center, various restaurants along Harbor Dr., and many of the bars, restaurants, and nightlife in the Gaslamp District. Also, it is like a 15 min drive to get to Mission or Pacific Beach.

I recently stayed at the Manchester Grand Hyatt for a full week, and from start to finish, the experience was outstanding. The hotel itself is beautiful, impeccably maintained, and offers incredible amenities. The rooms were comfortable, the facilities were excellent, and every staff member I interacted with was professional, welcoming, and genuinely committed to providing exceptional service. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the level of care they provide even after your stay. After I returned home, I realized I had accidentally left some clothes behind in my room. I contacted the hotel, and not only did they quickly locate all of my belongings, but they also shipped everything back to me at no cost. A special thank you to Cordana, the Head of Lost & Found, who was absolutely phenomenal throughout the entire process. She was responsive, kind, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled seamlessly. It's rare to find customer service like this these days, and it speaks volumes about the culture of this hotel. The Manchester Grand Hyatt exceeded my expectations in every way. Between the beautiful property, outstanding service, and the genuine care they showed even after my stay had ended, they've earned a customer for life. I will absolutely be staying here again the next time I'm in San Diego. Highly recommended!

My wife and I decided to take a few days to escape the Arizona heat, and the Hyatt Manchester Grand in San Diego was the perfect choice. From the moment we walked in, the property was spotless, and the entire staff went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Everyone—from the check-in team, food servers, bell desk, valet, to Rosalba (the lovely housekeeper who took care of our room)—was incredibly welcoming and professional. The location is great, close to everything we wanted to see and do. Our room was recently remodeled, spacious, and had all the amenities we could ask for when away from home. A huge thank you to the entire staff for a memorable stay. We will definitely be coming back!

I had a wonderful room. Spacious and comfortable and fairly priced. This is a very large convention hotel however I was there for a family visit and it suited me fine for that purpose. I didn't spend much time in the various areas of the resort as I was out and about in San Diego, however the place seemed well maintained. Families seemed to really enjoy yhe recreational facilities adjacent to the swimming pool. Bed was very comfortable as was the vouch in the room. Nice bathroom and shower. Check in was very very slow even though there were hardly any people in line. Front desk staff were not at all efficient.

We stayed at the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego when I was in town for a work conference and had a great time! The staff here are very friendly. The room was very spacious and clean and had nice views of Seaport Village. They have two pool areas, one being adults only which was nice. There is also a car rental spot on site if you wish to do a day trip somewhere further. Our travel agent even got us access to complimentary perks including daily breakfast at their buffet and a property credit which we used in their restaurant. IG: luxurious.getaways Overall we had an amazing stay. The location is perfect next to Seaport Village and a 10 minute walk to Gaslamp Quarter.

San Diego is a place I’ve wanted to visit for a long time. On my very first trip here, staying at this hotel felt absolutely worth the money. The facilities are luxurious, and the staff are polite and friendly. My room had a sea view, and watching the sunset was truly romantic. In the morning, looking out over the ocean, I could see a few naval ships slowly passing by. One particularly special thing is that guests’ personal needs are always met promptly right at their room door. Perhaps Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego is what made me start to fall in love with San Diego. Thank you for giving me such a wonderful first experience.

The hotel may have a nice view, but the front desk service was unacceptable. I understand the hotel had a large conference the next day and that it was crowded, but that does not excuse the staff’s failure to inform guests of basic information at check-in. No one told me that breakfast ended at 9:30 a.m. When I went for breakfast, I was simply told that the notice had been posted at the entrance of the restaurant. That is not a reasonable explanation. Guests should not be expected to walk around the property searching for important information after check-in. In other hotels, the front desk usually tells guests clearly when and where breakfast is served, including the floor location and operating hours. A good view does not make up for poor service and lack of professionalism. This was a very disappointing experience.

Great hotel, excellent location, and fantastic service, starting with the front desk. Rooms were recently renovated and now they look minimalist and chic. Really good touch. The only thing they changed for the worst was the food at their club. Used to be nice and high quality, and now it is a bit standard PGC

Turns out that a hotel that is beautiful and is in a great location doesn’t always guarantee that you’ll get the best sleep. We stayed here for 3 night in the seaview tower 26th floor and I can’t believe how much noise the rooms let in. Think about hearing noise from either direction 3-4 doors down. You can hear folks walking down the hall especially if they’re speeding. You can hear them opening and closing their doors. You can hear footsteps, anything. Last night, we were awoken by multiple of the activities I mentioned. As a bonus, we even heard a man just going off on his wife, screaming even until around 5 am using all kinds of poor language. I hope the woman is ok. We’ll need as much sleep as she will for the day ahead. I’m glad I’m only here for an event but I’d really avoid it if you actually need your rest for a big day ahead. You can hear EVERYTHING!
