Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego

Spectacular hotel for meetings and leisure right on the harbor in San Diego! This is truly a huge hotel, more like a small city than just a place to stay. Excellent food options and service has always been prompt, courteous, and ready to serve.

I’ve stayed here multiple times, and every visit exceeds my expectations. The service is consistently exceptional, with staff who truly go above and beyond to make each stay feel special. Prior to arrival, I mentioned we were celebrating my sister’s birthday, and Daniel made it unforgettable by surprising us with a dining credit for desserts which absolutely made her day! Beyond the outstanding service, the location is unbeatable. Everything is within walking distance, with so many incredible restaurants just steps away. Club Lounge access is absolutely worth it!!! The food is fantastic, with a great selection of both hot and cold options for breakfast, dinner, and desserts! 10/10 recommend! Already can’t wait to come back!

Very rare for me to give a 5 star review but I have been nothing but impressed by the staff, property, and location. It's is a spendy property so if you're looking to get bye a little cheaper move along. Checking in: upon arrival from the airport at approximately noon (3/1/2026) we walked to a large and brightly lit lobby and an equally bright smile from Kristina (i believe her name was) she was so pleasant to deal and made checking in a breeze. She helped up upgrade to the ocean view and that made the stay even mkre special because we saw our cruise ship come in. Rooms: the rooms are smaller, but clean bright and modern. Lots of outlets spaced everywhere. Great shower and very clean. Pool/ weight room: These are nothing short of brilliant. The pool area is out doors with incredible views and tons of space. The weight room is a beyond elite for an hotel. They have a smith machine! Lots of dumbells (up to 100lbs) and lots of machines and space. Restaurants: breakfast buffet is very good but very expensive (more then 50$ ea.) Salty is a great spot by the water for seafood.

Had a lovely stay for a rural health conference. Kristina from the front desk was so helpful— as were the bell staff. I loved the restaurant recommendations they gave me— delicious and affordable. Room was clean and a great view. Only con was noise. Wondering if their subcontractor cheated them on noise blocking materials as you could hear everything— conversations outside five floors below, open doors, etc. I am so grateful I had a noise machine for sleep.

I have stayed at many hotels utilizing my Amex Platinum card points. This was my first time at the Grand Hyatt SD. First the parking situation. Why I had to wait to enter the garage. Then having to be verified as a guest of the hotel. And told to "trade" my ticket for a room key and that would allow me to park. Second, the line at check in. I had to wait almost 30 min to check in. There was no clear signs for bathrooms and we had to go looking for my wife to use one. Third, the charge for parking of $55. What? This is why I dont visit San Diego or Hyatt properties in general. The nickel and dime of simple amenities. Fourth, the value of the room for the price I paid. For $600, this was the most BASIC room I have ever had. Absolutely NO REASON to have paid $600 for the room I got. I have to say I will not stay at another Hyatt property for a long time. There are better values with better rooms and no excessive charge for parking.

Great location as it was close to the hop on hop off bus if you're new to San Diego and visiting. Also there's a nice farm-to-table restaurant with delicious food within walking distance. We stayed on the floors 30+ and for a 4-star hotel, I suppose having the toiletries with bathrobe and slippers was something you had to ask for. Even if that's the trend with most hotels, this hotel uses an automated or AI to handle those requests, but it never worked, and we always had to call the front desk to get it. What's worse is you're way up there and they'd forget to bring one or two things so then you'd have to wait extra. I applaud the housekeeping cuz I noticed a huge difference in comparison to other hotel housekeeping, they did a fantastic job cleaning the rooms, even during the stays. Parking is iffy. I mean they have like 6 floors with the first 2 reserved for valet. But those parking spots are too tight and obviously most people will be driving SUVs, plus it's a mess with all the construction materials everywhere. I don't know that it's worth the stay, but it's pretty clean.

We enjoyed our stay at the Grand Hyatt. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and the kids were given a scavenger hunt to compete, along with a list of nearby activities. We worked through both during our stay and it was such a relief as a parent to have those two options when trying to figure out what to do each day. The hotel staff was amazing and service was great. The rooms are fine - nothing special, but clean and all the basics are covered. While we were there, a ton of renovation work was ongoing. Large parts of the hotel were closed, and although we were notified in advance of this, it was disappointing. The construction work can be loud and often occurs outside of the stated hours. Be mindful of this if traveling there in 2026.

Great location by the airport and seaport village. They have great deals with local tourist attractions upon check in and overall I had a really pleasant stay. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable with minimal noise. I lost my glasses and thought it was a long shot that anyone would find them. Just to be safe, I called the hotel to see if anyone might have found them—the Security person, Dion, actually ended up finding them and left me multiple message that I kept missing. He was diligent to make sure I knew they had them and once we got in touch, he worked with his team to get them back to me. I’m truly amazed by the level of customer service and attention to detail. I normally stay at other brands but this experience definitely swayed me to love Hyatt!

Best place for this hotel. Love seaside village and that you can walk so many places. Its a beautiful place and luxurious to stay at. Its high end lodging and very comfortable and friendly service. I traveled for work for a conference and was happy with my double bed room on the 32 floor. There are dedicated elevators for the higher floors and a pool, bar and seating area. Very nice sheets, towels and pillows. The widows actually open as well and you get fresh air from the marina. I could hear sea lions from my room. Great location near gaslamp district and the convention center.
