If I could give zero stars I would. This company takes for ever to approve any damages to pay out and fight you every bit when it’s time to add any suplemental claims. They go off photos but never go to see the car. They never return your call, the man’s her Mr.Perez is the worst’ never returns any calls only send denial emails. Stay away. There is a reason why they are ranked so low. Do not use the shops that work with them, they are just as bad.
Scam Alert! This company should not even be legally operating as an insurance company. If a dealership recommends them to you . DO NOT SIGN UP. They didn't even tell my Bank about my vehicle being in an accident which was totaled. Then instead of sending my vehicle back to the tow yard they send it to an auction place far away . All these people do is take your money each month and screw you over for what you're supposed to be covered for . Even the other people who were hit were denied right away.
As someone who handles adjusters and claims on a daily basis, please do NOT use Ocean Harbor Insurance. Whether you are a client, or calling on behalf of a client, you will never get an answer from them in a timely manner. Their system is always down, often send the wrong claim information, and you will experience terrible customer service. Tried to get just the claim number from someone on behalf of a client, and after two weeks still nothing. The call representatives who answer when you call the general number put you through to other departments, even if its the department you need to speak to. Again, do not use Ocean Harbor Insurance, and for those in an accident and dealing with them...I wish you the best. Truly an unprofessional company.
Craig Hamway - Chief Executive Officer of Pearl Holding Group is not doing his job because, this is the worst experience I have had with an insurance company. Their adjuster, Liza V. Rodriguez Collision Adjuster, has very little knowledge of what she is doing. They have had my claim for a month and still seem lost as to what they are doing to fix my car. It is so bad that the Mercedes-Benz dealership doesn’t even understand what they’re talking about. They have been making up policies as they go. My car has been sitting at a dealership where they refuse to pay the storage charges. The adjuster, Liza V. Rodriguez, suggested that I leave my car in the street where the incident happened for a month and they would’ve came, and did an inspection there instead of having my car towed to the dealership. This company is a fraud they don’t want to pay they just want to collect, they don’t know how to conduct business, they try to find loop holes to get over on their customers instead of help them. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY or you will regret it!!!!!!
The worst insurance ever. I had a client recently go through them. They did not answer her or our phone calls had to literally call everyday. They refused to pay for tinting to be redone after her accident as well as other finishing details to complete her car back to the way it was before. As a person who goes to work and pays car insurance for incidents like this and you get conned with the most unbelievable situation for a Florida resident not to have the tint ruined in the accident to be replaced. Is unacceptable. Plus took them 3 weeks to start the claim done because they said their system was down for a whole 3 weeks. They are the worst and a scamming insurance DO NOT USE THEM!!
0/5 Please read!!!!!. If you take one thing away from this review it is to not trust this insurance. along with the many many bad reviews there is a reason to them all. first off i started with ocean harbor about a year ago, everything was fine until I had to file a claim for one of the cars on my policy. There was a flash flood with no warning and my car got water damage( i live in florida). I filed a claim and the appraiser called himself my adjuster. I have never had car insurance so this was all new. days went by and i received no contact from ocean harbor. after the appraiser came and reviewed the car for 5 minutes i waited around a week to give them a call so i can get an update on my claim. I texted my 'adjuster' and he immediately blocked me when i didn't have any direction to go in. Every single time you call ocean harbor the automated voice says there is 10+ callers ahead of you and they will give you a call back. after a month of nothing being done i finally was assigned an actual adjuster. just to clarify ocean harbor was no help at all. I had to call my local agency called "amistad insurance" and beg them to help me contact ocean harbor. they were the ones that pushed for me to get just the adjuster. i can say they did have to give me my claim money BUT!!!! only because my claim was minor for water damage !!!!!!! if you read all the reviews whether you're trying to get in contact and have another insurance or you have ocean harbor, No one has once said they have been helped with their claims and gotten and help. and most important!!!!!!!!! when calling around to see which body shops will help out with my car as i already was sent a paper check. NO AUTO SHOPS WILL WORK WITH OCEAN HARBOR BECAUSE OF THEIR TERRIBLE REPUTATION. I called all of the body shops nearby and they shut me down as soon as i said ocean harbor. why? because they take months to even deal with the actual body shop that will be repairing your car. they also said appraisers are sent out and give the minimum estimate and when they get to the body shop they require way more than what ocean harbor estimates (again this is why they don't work with this insurance because they take months to handle claims ) one body shop said they have a car that sat there for 9 months because of this company and cannot help out. I made the decision to switch to geico and i have a weight lifted off my shoulders. i learned my lesson as someone who had no guidance why to never get a cheap insurance again .
My car was totaled June 15th -2024 it’s been a nightmare since. This insurance company sent my passenger $500. For property damage. She didn’t have property damage it was my car. ! The car that hit me running a red light is insured with ocean Harbor, my car hit another vehicle so 3 cars were involved in the collision. The insurance company has only paid my passenger for property damage that she didn’t have. Neither my car or the other car has received any money from Ocean Harbor ins.co. My attorney can’t get ahold of ocean harbor ins. By phone or email I have tried calling them and texting them no response. This isn’t over I have sent the insurance commissioner office my complaint also the state attorney office. I lost my car to Ocean Harbor in’s co. nothing has happened since Update:: 10/19/24 since the accident 6/15/25 The ocean Harbor insurance company has NOT Paid ANYTHING for my vehicle or bodies injuries Even my attorney can’t get them to respond Back. I’m waiting to hear back from the Insurance Commissioner now. I don’t understand how they can falsify. Paying my passenger $500. Out of the property Damages She asked for a claim Number for her own insurance company to pay her medical bills. I have used all my car insurance bodily coverage to pay for my own medical expenses and my blue cross healthcare insurance. How can they even be allowed to be in business. Update 12-16-24 I finally got paid $7460.25 for half of my car blue book value. Just got the check 11/09/24 I have tried to report Ocean Harbor to the fraud department.. but they said there’s nothing they can do about this. The insurance companies have to many lawyers to fight this issue. The insurance companies want you to think that they are the victims because they have to pay the claims. What a nightmare this country has become with scammers and people defrauding the insurance companies. I hope this post will be helpful to others who might think about getting insurance coverage with the Ocean Harbor insurance company.
Our car got hit by a guy insured by ocean harbor ins company. And ever since we left out car at a body shop, we weren’t able to pick it up, due to the company’s lack of service. They have a remaining balance to pay for our cars service, for us to be able to pick it up, otherwise we are struggling with only 1 car in the family of 7 people. For two months we have been dealing with this situation, we need to get our car faster, please help us asap
Been a costumer for over ten years but lately I notice my payment increase every renewal it was 110 a month now I pay 220 well guess what am done with ocean harbor! guys don’t waste you money you can get better rate like I do am saving 100 dollars and I get better coverage with all state good bye ocean harbor you diggin you own grave I don’t regret it at all not to long for ocean harbor to vanish!
I had Ocean Harbor for my car insurance for 4 and a half years before I needed to use them to file a claim. I was involved in an accident on 6/5/23 and I didn't receive my claim funds until 7/11/23. It was a frustrating 5 week ordeal trying to navigate Ocean Harbor! When I first called to file my claim I was on hold for 90 minutes before I was able to speak to a live person. After the initial claim phone call any subsequent phone calls to the "assigned" adjuster was a very frustrating experience. I was first assigned to someone who was out on maternity leave! After several emails and phone calls I was referred to a new adjuster who was inconsistent in responding back to me in a timely manner. The operating hours to reach the adjuster was weekdays from 9am - 4pm. That's it! Such a small window of time to be able to speak to someone! When my car needed to be towed to one of their storage facilities it took over a week! I needed to call repeatedly to find out when my car would be picked up and I was told different answers as to when it would be done. Even though it was a very long process with Ocean Harbor they did come through for me and paid me a higher amount for the value of my car which was deemed a total loss. I was pleasantly surprised! I would give Ocean Harbor an average rating despite the long and frustrating experience of dealing with them. Their monthly premium rates were very reasonable and if you don't need to file a claim everything is fine but once you need more from them it turns into an ordeal. I would recommend trying to obtain other insurance companies first before using Ocean Harbor. But I will say in the end they came through for me and helped me with a generous offer to pay for the loss of my vehicle and that put me in a better financial situation to be able to obtain a very nice vehicle. I decided to switch insurance companies and I no longer will use them in the future unless I absolutely needed to.
